The Top 10 Hondas of 2009….Part 2…

I’m happy to hear that everyone seems to be satisified with the picks so far. The 6-10 guys are definitely deserving so again, congrats to them all. 5-1 was definitely the harder to pick obviously, and this probably took me the longest to figure out. The 5 might as well all be number one because any of them could have been at the top. It was definitely close but I’m at peace with the final results and I hope you all agree…

5. Tony Khamly’s Sorcery NSX…

Why it made the list: Does this really need any explanation? When Tony’s NSX made it’s official return at Nisei 2009, it took the Honda community by storm. It was impossible to not see this car. It may have taken him three years to bring the car back out but it came back in a big way. Like Mikeyyyy once said; “as long as Tony shows up, it’s an automatic win”… and that was definitely true in 2009. He went on to place at Nisei Import Showoff, followed by another win at the JDM vs DTM Showoff event, and closed out the year by winning multiple awards at the annual Norm Reeves Honda Show. This NSX is money in the bank. And it’s definitely deserving of all the accolades. Once upon a time this NSX was damaged in an accident and left in the garage as a mobile storage unit. Today it’s one of the most recognized Hondas on the west coast and maybe the entire nation.

4. Big Mike’s Honda Prelude…

Why it made the list: Let the controversy begin. Of the entire list, this may be the most questioned decision. The entire Prelude community may disagree as well as the majority of the Honda community. Big Mike’s Prelude build was by far, BY FAR, the most intricate, detailed build of all time. How would I know? Well because I had the pleasure of covering the build since the very beginning. Any of you who follow this site closely know that and Big Mike is my boy. I have never seen a build of this caliber. Chromed door hinges, brand new OEM parts that we didn’t even know were produced anymore, Kinsler ITBs, and Bisimoto and Rywire by his side, this Prelude has it all. It maybe impossible to top the level of attention devoted to this build in the future. Big Mike did a hell of a job. He wanted to put Preludes on the map and he definitely did. This build was linked to forums everywhere, even non-Honda ones, just because of the depth of it. People questioned why he would do certain things because no one in their right mind would have thought to do it or had any reason to. This Prelude deserves to be #1 of 2009.

This is why it didn’t make it: Because up until this very moment, it’s not complete. There was so many things planned for the build that there just wasn’t enough time to complete it this year. The future is bright for this build and it’s impact will be felt in 2010. 2009 was just a primer. The best has yet to come for this Prelude. Every car that makes the list this year is a build that has reached it’s completion. Some car’s will have already even changed things up by the time this list is public. He’s not number one the same reason why Mr. Coupe’s isn’t higher on the list. It was in pieces the majority of the year. So much so that I don’t even have any completed shots of it and I had to drive to Bisimoto today just to get a shot of it in it’s nearly completed state. A couple weeks back, I asked many of you for your opinions on who should be on the list and many of you repeatedly voted for Big Mike to be #1. I get it, I love everything about it. But it’s just not there yet. Amazing in everyway, but it will be even more so in 2010…

3. Arnel Ortiz and the Phaze2 EG…

Why it made the list: Because Arnel is never satisfied. Since the moment I first saw this Civic, it has been a constantly evolving machine. What’s great about Arnel and his hatch is that he builds it for himself and he doesn’t care what people think. He started out the year with a rusted hood, did that, ditched it, then he went with a harlequin-themed engine bay (which is also no more), and then he shocked the Honda community by running 9.5 wide wheels and negative offsets.  They weren’t just any wheels either. Arnel built custom chrome BBS wheels with gold-plated bolts and custom centercaps. The kicker is that he made them look natural on a Civic and drove around on them like they were nothing special. His build went on to stir a lot of controversy throughout the scene and it even made it on the cover of Honda Tuning magazine. What were the popular trends of 2009? Two-toned bays. Staggered, low offset wheels. Hammered stance. Custom dipped parts. Any of those things ring a bell? Exactly. Arnel did it, and he was one of the first to within the Honda community. He’s developed his own cult-like following. To the point where he could do the worst shit to his car and people would still love it. The car is a staple on 2009. Trendsetter? Eh, that can be debated. But it was definitely at the forefront of the most popular/talked-about/discussed Hondas in 09 and that’s why it hits the list at number 3…

What can he possibly do next? Just wait…I’m dead serious…wait until you see what he’s got up his sleeve in 2010…

2. Alex Soto aka Sheepey’s Acura Integra…

Why it made the list: Sheepey’s Integra is the total package. Other than Big Mike’s Prelude, in terms of pure detail and depth, there’s no one that comes close except for Alex Soto. The guy can build anything. He’s basically a race car builder with a drag racing background that decided to build a show car. He combined the best of both worlds. Style and raw power. His Integra makes over 600hp and does it beautifully. The engine bay is a work of art in itself. Socket-head bolts everywhere, wires tucked away nicely, mil-spec distributor plug and harness, it has it all. The majority of Hondas today either make gobs of power and look hacked up, or they’re showcars that have all the aesthetics and don’t make power. Sheepey’s is the best of both worlds. Like Phaze2 Tony with the NSX, Alex is also money in the bank. Everytime he showed up at an event, you better believe he was taking something home. The two spent the majority of the year winning awards side-by-side with eachother. They almost made it impossible for anyone else to win.

Did I forget to mention that this DC2 was originally his daily driver that he turned into a 600hp beast just out of sheer boredom? Incredible…

Everyone have a safe and happy new year, and make sure to come back in 2010 to find out who the number one Honda of 2009 is…See you next year.

The Top 10 Hondas of 2009….Part 1…

The last week of the year means that it’s time to officially release the list for the top 10 Hondas of 2009. I must say, this year’s was definitely a tough. I actually discussed this with Mikeyyyy in depth to see what his opinion was on the subject and he and I both came to the agreement on the list. It wasn’t so much the cars that were gonna make the list so much as it was exactly in what order they would be placed. Any of these Hondas could have been number 1 but I took into consideration a lot of different factors and I can honestly say that I’m satisfied with the result. Many of you may not agree on the list but hey, that’s just the way it goes sometimes. We all have differing opinions and at the end of the day, these are all great cars and there are probably many more in your mind that should have been on the list that aren’t. After the 10 have been announced, I will also release an honorable mentions list and explain to you guys why it wasn’t on the 10. Congratulations to the final group who are on the list for what I believe are the best Hondas of 09. Today will be #10 – 6, like last year, and then #5-2 and then the number one Honda of the year. Let’s get it started…

*drumroll*…

10. HBK Jon’s Honda Civic hatchback and Mr. Coupe’s Honda Civic coupe…(Tie)

This one was just too hard to call. Out of the ten Hondas we looked at, we were stuck with 11 and it wasn’t fair to just leave one off the list because both are very deserving…

Why it made the list: Simply because he pulled it off. A purple Civic with a teal bay? On paper, that doesn’t even sound like it would be a good idea but he pulled it off, and in stunning fashion. This car exemplifies 2009′s trends of being ridiculously low with a shaved, two-toned bay. It was a dramatic change from the clean and simple red exterior and battleship grey bay from the years before. Jon’s hatch was the complete package. Wheels, stance, tucked bay, interior, everything. It’s a great all-around build that screams West Coast flavor. I remember the first time I saw it at a meet and I was shocked because I had no idea he had repainted it. As the year went on, it got more and more exposure and was seen all over the net, in fact, it was seen all over the world. I had clicks from sites in Denmark, Russia, etc. The pics even ended up being the most clicked on pics of the year on this site.  This hatch caught so much heat that it was even eventually shot for Import Tuner. It makes the list for 2009 because it was one of the trendsetters for the year…

Why it made the list: Mike Zusin aka Mr. Coupe had what was arguably the most followed east coast build of 2009. The anticipation for this Civic’s debut was ridiculous. Mike had people on the edge of their seats wondering if he would make it out in time for Import Alliance. It would make the list just because it’s a beautiful car. Simple looks-wise with all the details you could ask for in a build. Mike also built this thing entirely inside his garage, which is also quite an accomplishment. In a day and age when so many cars are built by shops and businesses, Mike took the DIY route and put this car together by himself and a group of dedicated friends. One of the reasons why it’s not higher on the list is because it was mostly unfinished for most of the year. After IA, Mike was still busy putting the final touches on the car and it didn’t hit the streets until the later part of the year. Another reason why I didn’t put it higher is because he was so quick to disassemble it and part it out. The build was so great and the final product came out so beautifully that it was a shame to see him take it apart before everyone could soak it in. It almost takes away from the final product because it wasn’t around long enough. He put it together, rolled it into Import Alliance, it was shot for a magazine, and now it’s no more. Almost as if it was a “hit it and quit it” type of build. We’ve all heard of moving on to bigger and better things but in terms of Hondas, it almost doesn’t get any better than this…

9. Dagreenek aka Steve Kwan’s Honda Civic hatchback…

Why it made the list: All eyes were on the Northwest when this EK hit the cover of Honda Tuning magazine. The Northwest is often overlooked when it comes to top builds and Steve’s EK is proof that we need to pay attention. I’m almost sad when I realize that I will never be able to see this car in person. It’s timeless. K-swap, Mugen goodies, OEM CTR pieces, it’s perfect. I had the pleasure of meeting Steve earlier this year at Nisei Showoff and he’s a super nice guy as well. Traveling all the way down to Socal just to hang out and check out a car show shows his true dedication to the Honda community. It’s a shame that there aren’t any shows up there and events for Steve to show off his work. Ten years from now we’ll look back at this build and it will still be one of the best of our generation…

8. Phil Anastacio’s J32-powered Civic…

Why it made the list: Canada does it again. The rest of the country may hate me up there but this Civic makes the list because it’s wild. Rando kit, Seeker wing, and did I forget to mention that it’s a 6-cylinder Civic? The J-series swap became quite the popular item this year and Phil’s hatch would definitely be the spokesmodel for the J-swap community. It also is a good example of another popular mod for the year; the reintroduction to the big rear wings. A lot of people will contend that Reynard’s CR-X should have been the Canadian representative on this year’s list but in my opinion, I must say that Phil’s hatch made a bigger impact on the Honda crowd nationwide. Didn’t this guy drive like 18 hours or something to attend Import Alliance as well? That’s awesome. First J-swap featured in Honda Tuning as well as the first J-swap to get cover,…definitely deserving of a spot on the Top 10 of 2009…

7. S2kjay’s Honda S2000…

Why it made the list: Because my heart skips a beat everytime I see this thing. Oh my… It may be number 7 on the list but it’s definitely the S2000 of the year. Jay’s S2k came out of nowhere and it had everybody’s jaws on the floor when it popped up on the net with the rear flares, hardtop, and aggressive wheel set-up. Often times, cars look so much better on the internet and are all beat up in person. Not this one, it’s every bit as picture perfect as it appears. The guy actually drove it out to California from Georgia exactly how you see it pictured above, boosted and everything, for the annual Eibach meet. That’s pretty fucking crazy if you ask me. The Premium Garage Krew guys brought the heat this year. What’s great about this build is that it continues to evolve and it gets better and better as time goes by. He’s already completely redone the car in Laguna Seca Blue with new goodies. I guess he’s keeping his spot warm for next year’s list…

6. Rywire’s Honda CR-X…

Why it made the list: The list just wouldn’t be complete without Ryan Basseri. Not only does the guy build phenomenal cars for himself, he’s also had his hand in so many great builds of 2009. His CR-X is probably one of the greatest builds of ALL TIME. Not one part of this CR-X was left untouched. There are so many details in this EF that you could look at it 10 times and you could find something new that you hadn’t seen before. From the K-swap, to the custom brakelines, to the tucked radiator, it’s attention to detail at it’s best. I’m happy to say that I had the pleasure to write his Super Street feature because I really learned so much more about his build that I probably would have never known just by looking at it. If Ryan’s CR-X somehow didn’t make the list, I would probably still put his picture up somewhere on here because many of the great Hondas this year were made possible because of this man…

Hope you enjoyed 10-6 so far, make sure to come back for the top 5 of 09…

Amazing…

Wow…

I’m sure most of you have heard or seen pics of the Honda HSV GT or what we knew as the next generation NSX. Yes it did get the can a couple months back when Honda decided to scrap plans to produce it, but it will be available for the GT500 class of the Japan Super GT Race series. There’s been a bit of confusion as to why it’s allowed to run because most know the rule that all participants must be production vehicles but…but….the HSV will be allowed to run because the rule also allows for “production-ready” vehicles. Meaning that as long as the car is ready for mass production, it’s technically a “production vehicle”…

It’s a shame that it will never actually see production in the mass market though. Such a beautiful car… Not to say that the production model would have looked exactly like this or anything, but at least it’ll carry similar styling-cues. Phaze2xDoods Tony with the NSX and I were talking about this earlier tonight and we both came to an agreement that even if it were produced, we would never even be able to own one until like 20 years later when they’re relics and not worth anything, so it’s better that they don’t produce it. Tony would just buy it and put it in his garage where he will turn it into another closet/storage unit like his current NSX…

I would never own one if it came out because I can’t drive for shit. I mean, I couldn’t drive a nail into a wall if I wanted to. I tried to angle my car out of a Denny’s driveway one time and I almost flipped over. I’m kidding of course. I just wouldn’t really own one of these things unless I knew how to make full use of it you know…Anyways, this thing looks amazing. The front end still has a distinct NSX look to it and the rear still retains the one-piece rear taillamp like the current NSXs…

Just imagine if this thing was painted a bright red color or championship white….oh man…shit would be crazy. What would be even crazier is if this thing ever did go into production and you can grab a copy of Best Motoring and see this car battling the Lexus LF-A…damn…

I thought it was the V10 in there but to conform to GT500 class rules, they had to pull that and swap in a 3.4L V8 that’s good for about 500hp. The original concept car was to have an all-wheel drive system too but again to conform to rules,  the system was removed for a real-wheel drive layout…

Alright enough talking, you guys should really watch these videos if you haven’t by now. They’re all over the net by now but if you haven’t had a chance to see them, make sure to check them out now. Just to see this thing in action and to hear that motor scream…oh man, amazing….There’s a 3rd video but it looked like it was shot with a cell phone or something blair witch like and I almost threw up from all the shaking. Feel free to find it if you think you need to see more….

So sick!…

Top 3 Most Viewed Posts and Images of 2009

The beauty of having WordPress as a host is that they provide a great stat page to fill me in on everything that goes on with the site. With the year winding down, let’s take a look back at the top 3 most viewed posts of 2009. I personally would have thought that the most viewed and linked-to posts would be either event coverage from Nisei, or even Eibach 09. It’s not. And I kinda wish it was because the top two are all hate-crime and vandalism-related, which is really unfortunate. It sucks that we have to see these types of things occur but that’s just the reality of the world we live in. Whether it be cars or normal life, there’s always someone doing some dumb shit and trying to bring other’s down. If it were up to me, I would never have to post this stuff but hey, people need to be informed of these kinds of situations.

When I say, most viewed, I mean that these are by far the most viewed. Like other posts aren’t even close, probably because they were linked every on the net…

#1 Most Viewed (3800+ hits) – “Hate at it’s worst…A truly tragic event…”

For those of you who don’t remember this, long story short, a guy wakes up one morning to go to his S2000 and finds it’s completely vandalized inside and out. Anti-semitic stuff is carved all over the paint and cut into the seats, all hoses and lines in the engine bay were cut, and sugar in the gas tank…just to name a few. There were plenty more terrible things done to it but you can view the original link to see all the gruesome details.

I’m not 100% sure what happened afterwards but last time I checked, the guy ended up getting an MKIV Supra and was a happy camper again. Best of luck to that guy in the future….

#2 Most Viewed (3,400+ hits) - “Do you understand the consequences of your actions?…”

This one jumped up the charts quick…probably because it involved one of our own guys. I don’t really care to talk about the situation anymore and you guys can click on the original link if you want to see it, but this matter is still yet to be resolved and there’s a lot of stuff that I either can’t or would rather not discuss anymore.

Update on our side however, is that Ross’s xB is pretty much fucked. Keyed all over, side to side, front to back, hell even the top of the bumpers and lights were keyed up. Pretty much ruined the car for the guy. He’s been through so much with that car and it’s actually about to be paid off and it’s tainted now. Whenever I talk to him about it, he doesn’t even want to fix it anymore. It’s just collecting dust now and on steelies…what a fucking waste….

Shit like this shows that there is no justice in this world… Kids that have all their shit paid for and never work hard for anything can fuck up another man’s business and livelihood without a second thought. Sad isn’t it?…

I heard some people were rather unhappy with my opinion of the Scion community as a whole. Look, I have plenty of friends in the Scion community and they are the nicest people I will ever meet. Some of my closest friends own Scions. But the community as a whole, and the clubs that exist within that…..ehhh…Nothing to write home about. I can’t say that there are many people out there who think differently than me either. I personally think that it has to do with the foundation of the community. For example, in the Honda community…shit like this would never happen because it would never go unpunished. That and there’s actually a bit of arrogance about the Scion community. I guess it starts with them having corporate backing and a strong base within the aftermarket community. So much so that they don’t have to work for anything. It’s all given to them, there was no “grassroots Scion community” where major players paved the way for the future generations. With Hondas, there were people that made everything possible for the people today, so there’s a bit of mutual respect and history behind it all. You respect the people that came before you. In the Scion community, not so much. Many of these kids come into cars with funding from others (parents) and they have parts readily available to them that they never have to work to get. Along with that, you get the ones that don’t know anything about other makes and models or any knowledge of the import community outside of Scions, so they feel that they are superior to the rest.  It’s a very naive way to think about things and ultimately they look down on others because they simply just don’t know. I’ve been around Toyota guys, Honda guys, Nissan guys, and now the VIP crowd…none of them have that train of thought.

Again, I’m not saying that to target every single person that owns a Scion, because that simply wouldn’t be true. But if you guys wonder what people think and why sometimes you feel like the outcast of the community, maybe that might be why… Take it for what it is or call it bullshit. I’m ranting and raving, whatever…I’m just saying, Ross was a big part of the Scion community and I got to see first hand what things were like and how people act and take action against others…it’s fucking ugly out there man…You give people an inch and they take fuckin 10 miles and shit. I

Moving on…

#3 Most Viewed (3100+ hits) – “An indepth look at horrible ideas…Part 6…Fake wheels with authentic stickers…”

This of course, was towards the early part of the year when I was doing the “Indepth look at horrible ideas” series of posts. The whole fake wheels with authentic stickers stuff really caught on and it was posted on a bunch of different sites. It’s just one of my biggest pet peeves that I just can’t stand. I mean, if you have Rotas or have owned them before, it’s all good. Do your thing you know, but don’t try to rock the authentic stickers and try to play them off as being the real shit. That’s some fuckin poser shit. You pay for the cheap stuff rep what you bought. Don’t act like you have something that you don’t, you know? It ain’t hard. It’s like Katt Williams said…”A Chrysler 300 looks like a Phantom…until a Phantom pulls up…”

It definitely was one of my favorites of the year though. I was hoping the other post about stock wheel whoring would have caught on too but damn, tough crowd, I guess people love painting their stock wheels and giving them odd nicknames…haha…”Oh here’s my custom painted starfish 7s aka swirlybirds”…

Now, onto the 3 most clicked on images of the year. This is considered the most viewed because these were the most clicked on when I linked them on my site. It’s hard to say what image was truly the most viewed because it’s not logged from just being posted up. These three are the ones clicked on, and or linked on other websites that were clicked. The first two, though it may not be a surprise, was definitely a bit of a shock to me because they were just random photos taken one day. I didn’t really intend on them being viewed so many times but the internet is a strange place, which leads me to the third image. Why this image was clicked on so many times, is disturbing. I’m honestly worried for my viewing audience because this image was looked at so many times…

#1 Most Clicked/Viewed Image – HBKJon’s purple EG…

Definitely wouldn’t have been my pick if someone had asked me which image was clicked the most. I don’t even know why it is still. Maybe it has to do with Mikeyyyy’s happy ass mug in the picture or the Laker jersey and the Laker purple EG…There were so many other pics of this car that I took that was probably much better so I’m still kinda clueless about it…

It seems like only yesterday when we were promoting FAST Autoworks and helping those guys get their names out in the world. Things change though and we wish them the best of luck in the future. Sometimes business gets in the way of personal relationships….hey, that’s just the way it works…We just didn’t eye to eye on business relationships and friendships. We learned a lot this year when it comes to shit like that. We all live in a world of reciprocal relationships. Enough said.

“2010 you’re on your own, sorry.” as spoken by a certain individual with for “y’s” in his name…

#2 Most Clicked/Viewed Image – HBKJon’s purple EG (Again)…

Now this one I saw coming. I actually thought this would have been the top viewed because whenever I glanced at the stats, this image always popped up. It was even linked to some forums like in Sweden and whatever…crazy. Maybe it has to do with The Fast and The Furious backdrop, I don’t know. I do like this pic however…even though if I knew what I know now, I probably would have shot it differently and it would have came out much better…

Look for this car in an upcoming issue of Import Tuner as well. I think it was slated for an early 2010 release in IT. When I took this, we were actually all standing around waiting for Luke Munnell to shoot it. It was taken out of sheer boredom cuz of the wait, haha…Guess it worked out.

#3 Most Clicked/Viewed Image – Uhh…if you were thinking it was one of the Auntie Love pics…you were correct…

Why people? WHY?! Seriously…haha. It was posted as a joke and I even warned people to click at their own risk. I guess they were so interested in auntie coochie that they actually went and looked at the rest of the images. I’m not even gonna post it up here because it’s pretty nasty. Here’s the link to the random post I did one day about it. I’ve posted some pretty awful stuff from time to time but man, I still get a bit of the chills everytime I see this auntie make her sexy face…Really guys, I know they say all pussy looks the same, but really?….Gross. It was so bad that I wouldn’t even host the image myself. I put it up on imageshack and it’s still up! Haha…WTF….

I hope everyone had a safe and wonderful holiday. I’ve been quite busy with real life stuff myself but I’m definitely gonna be jumping back on here and putting more things up for you guys to read. Peace out for now. Please stop clicking on the auntie love photos…it’s for your own good.

Happy Holidays!!

Just wanna wish you guys a happy holidays and what not. I’m workin on some stuff for today. Gonna take a look back at the year that was 2009 and put up some of my favorite pics and posts of the year as well as showing you the most viewed posts of the year, as chosen by you guys. Gonna be alot of interesting posts at the top that you would never think would be viewed so many times. Pretty cool stuff to see. Anyways, enjoy your holidays like this chick enjoys her candy cane’s and come back later for more entertainment…hope everyone got what they wanted for x-mas like this chick…Didn’t know you could eat two candy cane’s at once….alright I’ll stop…haha…Have a good one!

It’s a Christmas Party…wooo…

Damn, finally found time to put up the holiday decorations, hope you guys like it….All the major players and oddball characters of the year are partying it up. Can anyone name them all?…

I’m working on a year in retrospective post but ran out of time cuz I was too busy decorating…be back later, you know how it goes…

Gotta get into the festivities with a nice little Christmas song too….Enjoy!

“One more carrot chew!!!…bay buh all I want for christmas is EWWW!!”

No homo…

Finally found some time to hop on here….I was pretty busy this past weekend with work as well as taking a trip outta town so that’s why I haven’t been around as much. I got a call from my buddy Ross and he told me a package arrived at the shop from JDMEGO. Jay told me he was gonna send over some stuff for me and I love free shit obviously, so I gladly obliged. If you guys don’t know Jay, he’s a cool ass dude…I love the guy, no homo. Probably one of the most generous and upfront guys I’ve ever met. He’s been in the scene forever too so he’s always got an interesting story to tell. I don’t do much reading normally because I’m busy watching tv and doing absolutely nothing, but the JDMEGO blog is something I definitely check out daily, even before I even knew Jay. You guys should definitely check it out. He and I discussed a JDMEGO/Chronicles collaboration awhile back on some license plate frames but I wasn’t really sure if it would become a popular item or not so we kinda just put it on the backburner. Maybe when things pick up around here again we’ll actually try it out and see how it goes. Anyways, I thought he was gonna send me like a couple of his new stickers to get my opinion on them but when I opened it up…damn, this fool must be crazy sending me all this good shit…

I think he sent me his entire inventory, haha…What a nice guy man. Got so many stickers I don’t even know what to do with them. Probably throw some on the NSX, maybe my Q, who knows. Probably give some to Mikeyyyy too…Oh that’s not the only thing either…

…he also sent me this poster that he collaborated with Jon Sibal on…If you guys don’t know Jon Sibal, he’s got a blog too and he’s an extremely talented artist. He pens comics like Supergirl for DC comics and is a car guy just like us. The poster is a rendering of Jay’s R34 Skyline. My sister had some picture frames laying around that she wasn’t using so I decided to frame it up. I don’t really like sticking posters on my wall because they always fall and shit and framing them just makes it look more professional in my office. My office of course, is my bedroom and is next door to a bathroom with dual toilets, just in case any of you were wondering. Can’t wait to toss this up tomorrow…

I’m still undecided on the final spots for the Top 10 Hondas of the Year…Competition was great this year and I hope everyone is at least somewhat in agreement with my final choices. If not, oh well, there’s always next year. Nothing much going on other than that. I still have to find some time to go shoot DPK David’s coupe but I’ve just been busy as hell lately and haven’t had a free weekend to knock that out. Hopefully before the new year though. That and I hope he doesn’t decide to part it out or something…he is afterall, the most indecisive person of all time, and is never satisfied with anything….

Man, Saved by the Bell “HD” is on right now…They’re playing the episode about the Zack Attack and the Friends Forever tour. If you guys aren’t familiar or forgot, it’s the episode where they’re all in a band and they’ve made it back. but then Zack meets his new publicist and his head gets all big and the band breaks up. Slater becomes like a daredevil bike rider, Screech goes off to find the meaning of life, Lisa is an American Gladiator, Kelly becomes an actress, and Zack is like the man Madonna or some shit…haha…pretty good episode…

I didn’t notice back then, probably because I was like 10 years old at the time, but Lisa Turtle….great ass. Haha…at that age,  you just don’t notice nice asses but damn, who knew….Lisa Turtle. Everybody was all about Kelly Kapowski back then but if Saved by the Bell was a new series in today’s day and age….Lisa Turtle would be running shit right now. I mean, the way she looked back then, not now…don’t attempt to look her recent pics up unless you want your weiner to be deflated…all I gotta say is…plastic surgery…WHY?!!!…

I remember when I was a kid, someone told me that Mario Lopez (Guy who played AC Slater) went to the same elementary school as me. Saved by the Bell was cool at the time and I was like “oh damn, that’s cool, AC Slater went here”. And I checked out a book from the library and looked at the inside cover and “Mario Lopez” had checked it out before. I was all excited and shit and was like “oh damn, AC Slater checked this book out!”…Oh man, I was so naive then. I failed to notice that I lived in Chula Vista, California and I could probably look to my left and see like 18 Mario Lopez’s…haha…Dude is still doing big things though, ABDC, Nip/Tuck… good for him…

Man, it’s getting late. Time for me to go back to bed. Enough with the random shit…I actually have quite a bit of reader’s from overseas and they’re probably confused as fuck right now logging onto stickydiljoe.com and reading about some Saved by the Bell shit…

Pretty much sums it up, PEACE.

Stupid busy…

To say that I’m busy would be an understandment. With the holidays fast approaching, magazine deadlines have been cut in half and we’re trying to complete all the work as quickly as possible. No one wants to work on the holidays but magazines have to go to print. The only way to keep the schedule consistent is to work work work….I’m doing exactly that and hustlin’. I wish I had more for you guys but you all understand how it is. I need money on my table and money to buy gifts for my loved ones so I can’t just sit around and put things off.

I did manage to get an early Christmas gift in the form of a big ass 24-inch Samsung monitor. This thing is so big I can feel my vision getting worse and worse as I stare at it….haha. It’s not as big as Mikeyyyy’s but he’s got a Mac and I’m too dumb to know how to use those things efficiently. All he ever uses it for is to answer PM’s on NWP and Honda-Tech anyway.

I did find some time out of my busy schedule this week to meet up with my homie Billy though. I known the guy forever now and every time he calls me to go somewhere I’m usually down cuz I know that dude will come through whenever I need him. It’s only fair that I reciprocate. I hate people that just call when they want something or some shit and when tough times come, they don’t even bother to offer help. I just don’t need those types of people in my life. Billy is my boy and though we’ve gotten older and have more things to deal with now then just going out and partying, we always find the time to hang out to shoot the shit.

He needed to get his car corner balanced and with some suggestion from JDMEGO Jay, he decided to go to Evasive Motorsports. I personally have never been to Evasive so I decided to go over there and check it out with Billy. I brought the good camera but I don’t know those guys over there very well so I didn’t want to intrude and just start taking pictures of everything. I just left the camera in the car and watched the guy do work on the IS300. Billy asked if it was okay to take pics and the guy didn’t seem to mind, but still, it’s kinda weird to just kinda intrude on their space and take pics of stuff that might be important to them. So what did I decide to do? Take out my cell phone and take some creepy spy shots…haha. Pretty messed up but I figure I looked more like a noob that way and they won’t get mad at me if they saw me taking pictures. A simple “hey asshole, stop taking pictures” would have worked. Not like I need anything from them or could possibly steal secret data from them. Just thought I’d give you guys a glimpse of what goes on over there. It’s a really nice shop. They have a lot of parts that are pretty rare that most shops wouldn’t have in stock. And they also have a lot of stuff that you wouldn’t normally see and would only see on the internet or something…

Here’s Billy’s IS on the rack…it was surprising to actually see the numbers on this car. We both thought that the car would be top heavy because of the iron block and turbo and what not, but weight distribution was still pretty even with the front holding 51 percent of the weight. That’s almost 50/50 weight distribution. Probably helps that he has a heavy ass system in his trunk. The car itself is a boat though and easily weighed over 3500lbs…

A really nice S2000 that they were working on…I was looking around for the Voltex kit since Evasive was the first to have it but it was no where to be found…

The guy that was working on the IS at the time pulled up a chair so that I could sit down and this was my view…

I got kinda restless so i got up to take a look at their personal time attack EVO. This thing is amazing. I love built EVOs and this thing looks like it could fuck some shit up…Full Voltex aero, gutted headlights, etc…

This thing is no joke…

After that we got hungry and headed out to Yoshinoya to grab a quick bite. I’d take pics of that too but I’m sure you can use your imagination. There was a styrofoam box with some rice, some sauce you know, chicken, beef, all that good shit. We ate and headed back and went for a test drive in Billy’s IS…this thing is fuckin fast!….oh man, I haven’t been in a fast car like that in a while. The power from that T51R just puts you into your seat. My Q45 is so slow that I could fall asleep and fall off the seat. Sounds amazing to be inside too…

That was about it…we just went home after that and called it a day. Sorry for the quality of the pics. I’ll try to come back with more shit for you guys next week once I’m all down with work….

Puttin in work…

Man, I’m actually pretty busy right now trying to finish up some mag work right now so expect to see an update later today. Meanwhile, since you’re already here, check out the Iron Man 2 trailer. I’m not advertising or anything, I just love comics and can’t wait to see the sequel…It’s also Honda related. I’m not gonna confirm facts or anything, because I don’t run that kind of operation here…but Don Cheadle’s third cousins friend who also likes Iron Man probably drives a Honda…Yup, I’m just saying. Honda is like the Kevin Bacon of cars, someone knows someone who knows someone who drives a Honda. Some six degrees of separation shit…It’s highly possible.

And if you’re wondering, yes..I didn’t have time to update, but I managed to make this awesome gif image…I like Iron Man okay? If I could drive Iron Man around and floss him, I would. And this site would be called “The Chronicles…an Iron Man blog”, and I would just talk about Iron Man all day and why people shouldn’t be rocking fake Iron Mans. Or some shit, just watch the trailer already…Yes, there would be a Big Mike Edition Iron Man and I probably would have covered the build-up for it. And there would also be a Status Sean Iron Man build but he’d be too busy to ever send me any updates on it. And his Iron Man would have been powdercoated khaki color all the way around, do I really need to go on or are you gonna watch the trailer already?…

Iron Man 2 Trailer

Awesome right?

Look what I got…

Periodically, I like to go to Mitsuwa market to look at magazines in their bookstore. I like seeing how the tuning culture is in Japan and I would collect every issue of Option magazine I can get my hands on but with the exchange rate nowadays, it’s not financially a good idea to be buying these things. I mean, at one point I remember paying only like 7 bucks for an issue but now with the way the dollar is, I end up having to pay over 10 bucks for it. I even tried subscribing one year but it ended up costing more than it would cost to buy them individually. So I’ll normally just glance at them at the market and put them down. Same thing with the VIPcar and VIPstyle magazines. Those are awesome to look at because VIP stuff just isn’t as abundant on the internet compared to drifting, time attack, etc. but like I said, shit is just too expensive to buy. I’ll only pick up an issue if it comes with some free stuff like stickers or keychains because then it might actually be worthwhile. So I show up and I just so happen to catch the Jan. 2010 issue available…

I actually bought the issue because this month they had something featured that they normally don’t; Hondas. Sure they’ll include the smaller pics of some Hondas here and there or they’ll throw in some NSXs but that’s about it. Honda isn’t as mainstream as it is over here so to see some appear in Option is a pretty cool sight…

Maybe their resurgence in American car culture has led for them to grab a bit of the spotlight back from the rest of the crowd, I don’t know, but attention America; Hondas are still alive and well in Japan…

Now I would have used my sister’s scanner to show you guys but I honestly just hate that fuckin thing so I just used the camera and took some pics of it. That scanner is a bit dated so these might actually come out clearer than it would have with the scanner…

I don’t really know what it says so just look at the pictures. That’s what I do…

The white EF8 has a B16B EK9 swap in it with a Stack cluster and carbon roof. Notice the two-toned bay…

If you look at the pics closely, you’ll notice that it says “north latitude, 36 degrees” all over the car. Even on the windshield. Not really sure what it means but I think they’re representing Yokohama, Japan, because well, it’s located 36 degrees north latitude. Again, I don’t know for sure, but if it was their intention, that’s a pretty cool idea. More creative way of putting the city you’re reppin instead of just stating it…Oh and notice the header and side exhaust exhaust…

The other CR-X is black and has a full carbon front end, even has the carbon fiber Z3 style fenders…

It also has a B16B swap like the white one. The gauge set-up with the bracket hanging off the rear view mirror mount is pretty cool idea. Not sure if I would be cool with the wires hanging all over but hey, not my car to judge…

Pretty cool though right? Just to see what the “other” guys are doing overseas. I wish Option had more coverage on Hondas, especially cool little builds like this. It’s like something you would see over here, but not, you know? Like the white rex, you could see a car similar to it over here but it wouldn’t have the little details to it like the nitrous and the custom fuel set-up in the trunk. The exhaust and header set-up as well. I mean, on a full race car or a car that never sees the streets, it’s possible, but for a car like that to be driven everywhere? No way…Shit would get jacked or impounded by the police the moment it sets foot on the street…I mean, do you honestly think you can drive around here with a big nitrous bottle attached to your cage and your side exit exhaust screaming down the road?

Anticipation mounts…

Man, this year’s Top 10 Hondas of 2009 is definitely gonna be a difficult one and I’m sure there will be a lot of talk about the picks and why or why they shouldn’t be on there. I’d like to thank everybody for the feedback so far and it has been very helpful to see what everyone else thinks. I’ve narrowed it down to about 15 cars at this point so 5 will obviously not make it but that shouldn’t discount their builds this year. It’s hard to figure out whose gonna go where but each and everyone one of them are deserving…For those of you who are not apart of The Chronicles on Facebook, this is the logo that I’m currently working on for this year’s list….

Gonna try to add some stuff here in there as well but I will be cutting these as stickers for the guys who are on the list this year and hopefully they rock them on their cars. Gotta order some special vinyl too. Not really don’t to just make them the chrome on black like the regular Chronicles stickers. Not a bad look right?

Anyways, I’ve had quite the busy weekend and I have some magazine work to finish up this week as well so that should be interesting. Also gonna touch up the logo and clean things up as well as a bunch of other things. Be on the look-out, I’ll get stuff up periodically throughout the week. Out.

Long Beach Represent…

I normally wouldn’t really go shoot a car in a random place unless I really know the guy. When I went to go snap pics of Sheepey’s car, I went all the way out to Perris in the middle of nowhere to meet up with him to shoot. I go a long way for my friends. When J.P. from DPK hit me up awhile back to help him take some pictures of his new set-up, I really didn’t have any idea where I would do it because I don’t wanna continue using the same spots over and over again. If Mikeyyyy and I know anything about taking pics of cars for private use or for mags, we understand that it’s very easy to burn up a spot real quick. I’m pretty familiar with the Los Angeles area, but still, I’m originally from SD so I don’t know all the private spots to shoot at. I’ve found a couple, but like I said, I don’t wanna burn those spots up. Once I found out that J.P. didn’t have any headlights, well it’s was pretty obvious at that point that I had to go where he was. I’m not about to make the guy drive all over the place with no headlights, especially since he has like copper wheels, bars everywhere, a big fucking intercooler, and well, no headlights. So I just headed down to Long Beach to pay him a visit. The weather has been pretty ridiculous lately, and it’s been super cold. Plus with the rain and all, it’s been getting dark super fast…

Larger Version (1200×800)

Now the pics I’m honestly not that happy with. I took alot more but they ended up in the recycle bin. We spent alot of time looking for spots to take pics at and it basically killed the light that we had left from the day. Along with that, it was cold as shit and the spots we found were pretty smal and limited. Either that or there was traffic going in and out. It was kinda rushed but here’s what resulted from that day. By the time we finished it was night time and I don’t even know how he drove around in the dark like that, haha. He really wanted me to get the new little details he added and hopefully I got that. If not, hell, we can always shoot again…On with the pics. You guys know the routine. I’ve sized them to fit within the frame but links to the original sized versions are below each pic. It’s not rocket science people. Thanks for looking….Hopefully I get to finally get pictures of DPK David’s Civic soon…

The Chronicles….Sub-par pictures, asshole who writes it, but great cars. Yes…great cars.

4th Annual Norm Reeves Honda Car Show and Toy Drive…

Finally had time to go through these pics. I wasn’t really there that long, maybe like two hours? But the Norm Reeves shows are always good. I’ve done them in the past when I had my car and I still enjoy coming out to them. It’s really small compared to other events but Honda guys love when they have events specifically geared towards them and it’s for a good cause, so there’s nothing wrong with that. It was relatively close to me too so I wasn’t in any rush to get over there. I brought all my camera gear and everything but managed to somehow forget my memorycard so I had to use May’s handheld digi but it’s all good. It’s a really nice camera actually…

May picked up some donuts on the way so of course our first spot was to go see Tony and his NSX. Ojay was already there to hanging out so we just chilled and ate donuts and people watched…It was nice and cold so I’m sure Tony’s NSX ran great that morning…

Ryan aka Rywire was there too as he was already down in Socal to hang out and he decided to show his daily NSX. If you know Ryan then you know his CR-X so that license plate frame makes perfect sense…It was probably made in some random mall kiosk too haha…

Hmm…

Arn’s bay in his DC2 is a masterpiece, for real…

That infamous Zeal front bumper appears again…Last time I saw it was at last year’s Norm Reeves…

I was gonna say that there were alot of Integras that day but I forgot that they organize the show by make and model…:P

Those are some big ass tires by the way…

You’re all familiar with DPK J.P.’s Civic…Expect to see more of this car on here very soon…

DPK David finally…FINALLY…FINALLLLLLY…finished his car and decided to bring it out. Finally. Good thing he did too because it looked amazing and people were all over it…

…Finally!…

The ever mysterious 5Zigen lip…

FINALLY…

Clean…

Next up are the S2000s…

JHP Time Attack S2000…this thing is badass…I love it. Fast as all hell too from what we witnessed at the last event…

Spoon’d out S2k…

Rodrez S2000…

I believe this car won Best S2000…

Concave Advan TCII…

BOWL’s also had a Ruckus display at the event…

Kraftwerks Supercharged Fit…very nice…

Some EFs…

CR-X with excellent wheel fitment…

EKs…

Another Fit…

…and another hatch on Dori mesh wheels. I’ve always been a fan of these wheels and they look right at home on this Civic…

Around 11:30am or so they started doing the raffle prizes and awards of the day. The event was only 4 hours long which was cool, because sometimes events go on for too long…

We really weren’t expecting anything…

…but Tony and his NSX took home the Best NSX award as well as the DSport Magazine Editor’s Choice Award…

…and after getting passed up for the Civic awards, David ended up winning Best of Show, which was awesome. First big award for him too so big congrats go out to him and Tony for doing big things…

…and Ryan was happy about it.

That’s it, it was a cool little show overall. Great to come out and support a great cause and see some really nice rides. Again, congrats to Tony and David for winning and hopefully it’ll carry over to next year and success continues…Thanks for looking.

Back in business…

Oh man, Taylor Swift album? So goooood….haha. Anyways, finally got my computer back and it seems to be in working order. I can’t really say for how long because they really didn’t find anything seriously wrong with it but it’s working so I’m gonna leave well enough alone. I’ve been struggling with this Mac Power G4 or something that my sister has and it just frustrates the shit outta me. Nothing wrong with it really except it’s a bit dated now as far as the operating system goes. I can’t even get any of the browsers on there to load up Facebook correctly. Safari just doesn’t fucking work with any site apparently and the version of Firefox displays the page itself but won’t let you do anything like comment or anything. I can’t even log on to this site because the login box doesn’t even work. Shit is irritating I swear but it’s good to have a working computer back. I’ll be back later today with the pics from the Norm Reeves show. Just have a couple more to edit and I’ll get those up. Promise.

I also had a chance to go snap some pics of DPK J.P.’s Civic and his new set-up. He’s got a lot of nice little touches that he’s added recently that you guys should definitely check out. Once I get the Norm Reeves stuff up I’ll be working on those pics so expect to see those coming soon. Also little things to do like ship stuff out and update the banner and what not. Just maintanence stuff….it’s been awhile since I’ve been able to sit in front of a computer for more than 15 minutes with all the moving and computer issues. Alright well anyway, be back later today….Time for some rest and to finish watching this episode of Saved by the Bell…

I’m sure you guys remember this episode. It’s whe Zack is having problems with his grades and he hires some guy to play his dad to talk to Mr. Belding and vice versa. Then at the school carnival, they meet and Zack gets in trouble. Then his dad talks to him about how he needs to just tell him when he’s having problems at school and Zack is like “You know, it’s not that easy to talk to you dad.” And then his dad’s gigantic cell phone rings and Zach is like “See dad, that’s exactly why!”…and then proceeds to grab his gigantic brick phone and call his dad just so he can talk to him…Good episode. Not as good as the one where they go to a party and they drink and they crash Lisa Turtle’s mom’s car and they get caught. Then they have some public service announcement afterwards about why you shouldn’t drink and drive or some shit…alright laters…

Oh wait one more thing, a little known fact for you guys…In the original Saved by the Bell series, you know the early years with Ms. Bliss, Zack’s parents are divorced but in the later series, the one with AC Slater and Kelly and what not (Not the later whack ass season with the biker chick), his parents are together still. His dad is played by the actor in both shows but his mom is different. Even in the final “movie” when he marries Kelly Kapowski. Random right? Haha, seriously, time for some rest…

Oh damn, wait, another thing. Thanks for all the feedback on the Top 10 list stuff. It’s great to hear from everyone. Keep them coming. Some of you guys even mentioned some cars that I forgot about…good stuff.

“Gray skys are gonna clear up…”

Damn, the weather over here has been pretty crazy. I mean by California standards of course. It’s 39 degrees or so at night and it is fucking freezing for us. I know people in the midwest and what not would probably go out shirtless in this kinda weather but we are freezing our asses off. And on top of that, it’s been pouring rain today… So as you all know, my computer took a huge shit so I wake up this morning to some IM’s from HeyMikeyyyy about a guy he knows that fixes computers. First thing I ask of course is if this guy works out of his house or something. Cuz usually that  might be the case when friends suggest this kind of thing to you. Second thing I asked about is if this dude is trustworthy. Last thing I need is some pervert trying to out perv me by watching my porn. Something about a man beating off to the contents of another man’s computer that leaves a unnerving sense of weirdness in my stomach. That and I just don’t like people looking through my shit, period. That’s why I always try to fix my own computers. I’m kinda computer-savvy but with major hardward stuff, I just don’t know. I mean I can take shit apart but do I know what the fuck it does after it’s in pieces? Well, no. So I just want my computer fixed so after 25 more questions about whether dude would look through my computer, Mikeyyyy convinced me to go. He’s like “oh yeah, this guy is some nerd asian guy, he doesn’t do that.” Uhh..What? I think the first guy that would look through a computer for dirty ass porno would be a nerdy asian guy. How do I know? Well I’m definitely not that nerdy, but I am asian and I do enjoy my adult movies. I look through my own computer for dirty shit that I might not even have downloaded, you know what I’m sayin? Mikey swears this guy is legit so I give it a shot. On my way to Pasadena, I’m stuck in traffic like always but the rain stops and I see he biggest rainbow I’ve ever seen in my whole life….

Shit was unreal….So big I almost crashed into that truck in front of me staring at it. It was pretty cool, I have to say. So I get there and drop my computer off for him to take a look at it, and I’ll find out soon what exactly is wrong with it and how much money it’s gonna cost me. The dude does look legit though, exactly like what Mikey said. Entrusting a man with your computer and it’s contents is like trusting a random stranger to drive your car, minus the arthritis and dick sauce. The guy looks legit though, for real, so I guess we’ll see what happens…

Once I get my computer back though, I’m gonna have to start thinking long and hard (aka thinking “stickydiljoe”, get it? haha…ugh..lame) about this Top 10 Hondas of the year business. I’m sure everyone is looking forward to it and I’m excited to put it together. I’m even gonna make custom stickers for the winners if they decide to rep it on their cars. Something along the lines of “The Chronicles…Certified Top 10 of 2009″ or something. It’ll be cool trust me. I’m artsy like that. I won’t even try to draw it in MS Paint. I have a couple cars in mind, probably enough to fill half the list while some are borderline but I really want you guys to tell me what cars you think should be on the list. Maybe I missed some cars along the way and you can help me refresh my memory. Think of the Hondas you saw this year that came out and took the community by storm. Like really made an impact. Add that with how many appearances they made. I don’t want cars that just showed up once and never appeared again. Also, I don’t want to see anything that’s just been on the web. Like, it was revealed on the web. It’s best that the cars on here were at events and were actually seen by large quantities of people on more than one occasion. So we’re talking

a)Impact on the community this year

b)made appearances throughout the year at events

c)Not based solely on internet pictures

d)And if you’re not familiar with the car, don’t be a fucking asshole and suggest it and talk it up all big and you’ve only seen one picture of it or something. I’m not stupid, entirely. Besides, that’s my job.

e)Don’t suggest your friend’s cars. Seriously…I’m cool with it if you know the guy but don’t start talking about how great the guy’s car is cuz his lip is broken or it’s all beat up and it’s cool because he drives it everywhere. This is the Top 10 Hondas of the Year, not, who’s the most hardcore for driving around and breaking stuff list. You know what, if you break your lip while you drive, you either don’t know how to drive, something unfortunate happened where you hit something or someone, or you should probably just get it fixed.  You know what’s hardcore? Setting yourself on fire and fighting the dragon-looking motherfucker from the Neverending Story movie. That’s pretty hardcore. Driving around slammed and cracking a lip? Ehhh….it should be a given that it happens. Are we clear? I don’t care if the car is driven all over town or parked in the garage. It’s the build and the build quality that matter to me.

So, let’s hear what you guys have to say. I’m an open book. Let me know which Hondas YOU think belong on the list. Leave comments here or post it up on The Chronicles Facebook page.

*There’s a chance it won’t make the list even if you suggest it though, but hey, input is always welcome!!

Can’t help but be disappointed…

Man, a day or so before I was set to move, I noticed I had some problems with my computer but really didn’t think anything of it. When I moved in, I tried turning on my computer and it happened again but I managed to get it working again a couple hours later. Today, it completely took a shit and now does not work at all. Looks like I’m gonna need a new motherboard or something. I can’t help but be disappointed because this month is supposed to be a big one with the Top 10 Hondas of the year and what not. Alot of work goes into that list and I would have just liked to have been able to do it without issues. And my computer not working, is definitely a big issue. I’m using my sister’s G5 Mac right now and I’m sorry, I just can’t stand Macs and their layouts. Shit is more irritating then anything. What makes it worse is that the Panther operating system is no super outdated and I can’t even update to a browser that supports alot of the sites nowadays. Kinda whack….

I even went to the Norm Reeves Honda Show today and took pictures. I uploaded them and even started editing some of them and I come home from dinner and my computer doesn’t even work. Such a shame because the show was pretty cool. Small, but many high level builds there that represented. I wish I had more for you right now but I have to figure out a way to get some money so I can get a new motherboard for my computer. I’m gonna go tinker with it some more so that I can possibly get it working long enough to back up all my stuff on to my external HD. Hopefully the harddrive is okay and I didn’t lose anything. Man, it would be such a shame to lose all that stuff I’ve had over the years. Stupid computers.

For now, head over to The Chronicles Facebook page to see random ramblings and which homies took home awards from the Norm Reeves event. Wish me luck. Out.

Norm Reeves Car Show and Toy Drive!…

The exclamation point was placed there not because I was excited, because I’m really not, but I thought it would put more emphasis on the title. Like if I put “dog shit”, you’d be like “oh that’s gross”…but if I put “dog shit!”, you’d be like “oh fuck, where?!” and duck like that shit was coming at you…you know?

So anyways, not much going on towards the last months of the year other than some minor shows, but the Norm Reeves show is definitely something to check out. I’ve gone the last couple years and they’re pretty cool. Last year was particularly interesting because it was around the time when the California wildfires were blazing everywhere and ash was falling out of the sky the day of the show. We had to wear masks and shit to protect ourselves and the sky was orange. AND WE STILL WENT OUT TO THAT SHIT. That’s when you know you’re too deep into the car community. Air quality is dangerously bad and we hanging out for some car shit…haha.

Read the flyer, it’s got all the information you need. It’s for a good cause so that’s always cool to go and support those type of events. Really cool raffle prizes too from what I saw…

Don’t ask me why, I don’t know what it’s only 4 hours long. Probably a good thing though because it gives us time to go do other stuff afterwards and/or go home and watch football by myself…

I will be attending for sure though. Maybe we can finally get some real Honda content up again for a change!…See you there.

Facebook?…

Well I’m still settling into my new home and finally got my internet working again which means I have time to download porn and update simultaneously. Not much today but I did find the time to create The Chronicles facebook page. So if you see one of those “become a fan” link things come up for it, please be sure to click on it and support this piece…

If you’re a friend of mine it should be pretty easy to find the link. If not, it should pop up or click the link here. Hopefully that link works…Alright, I’m out for now…Try to get something quick up tomorrow too…Laters.

Fun with cell phone pics…

Ahh, day 3 no internet at my place…I feel so disconnected from the rest of the world. I should be getting it up and running by Thursday afternoon though so that’s something to look forward to. Since I don’t have anything up and running, I haven’t really been bringing the camera anywhere so whenever I see something interesting, I’ve resorted to pulling out my cell phone and taking pics with that….so let’s see, umm, what have I been up to lately….

So Tony finally picked up some Buddy Club stuff for his sponsorship deal with him and last night he actually decided to work on his car again. We came back from eating Korean BBQ and Tony was waiting at the shop with his new goodies. Here he is trying to put his new seat brackets in. Hopefully we’ll get this car cleaned up and ready for his mag shoot…

After that I went home and cleaned up my room some more and got around to getting my computer put back together. Apparently, shit is fucked up though cuz it took my like 11 times to finally get it turned on and working. I guess either the motherboard is going out or there’s a discrepancy with the videocard driver and what not…

I got the blue screen of death and after a couple more restarts and messing around with it, it started up again. I guess maybe the problems stems to a couple months ago when it got really hot. The computer still works perfectly fine as long as I don’t turn it off haha…Man, time to start backing up all this Chronicles stuff or else it’ll be gone forever. That and the movies…yah “movies”….

As you all know by now, I’ve been going over to Midnight Garage to use the internet. It’s not too far away and I can use it whenever. As I’m sitting here right now, Ross ain’t even here. He went to go take care of some errands and detail a car so I’m just typing this up while listening to the Taylor Swift songs that he downloaded…yeah…I’m gonna copy this into my USB too so I can listen later…

When I got here Ross was just leaving and he left me with his friend’s dog and it pretty much just stands wherever I go and just stares at me…

Like this…

He’s still doing it too as I’m typing…Doesn’t respond to anything and kinda just stares at me like I’m a nice set of titties or something…

Anyways, while I was catching up on my daily sites and perusing the internet, I came across this pic and thought it was perfect for Ross. He loves dogs…and what does he love more than dogs?…

…Tits. Especially the tits of an angel. Ahh, Joanna Krupa, you dog loving naked Angel lady…Sorry for the not work safe pic but you don’t come on this site thinking shit is gonna be safe for work right? Haha…It’s a PETA ad, it’s safe, and your boss will understand…

So this pic is so perfect for Midnight Garage, that I left a present for Ross and set it as his desktop pic…

So when he comes back, he’ll have a nice gift on his desktop. I’m outta here, late…Hopefully I get everything back in running order by late tomorrow, until then, enjoy…

Still indisposed…

So uhh…yah, I have no internet at my place still until Thursday. Moving was kind of a bitch but it usually is so I haven’t had much time to do anything other than move shit and sleep. I really don’t have anything Honda and/or car related for you today and much of this week will probably be just random ass stuff like it used to be…

I gotta show you the bathroom at my new place though, it’s pretty interesting. It’s a 1 1/2 bath but for whatever reason it’s all in the same room…so uhh…it’s kinda weird….

How many people can say that they can double deuce in the bathroom? Seriously…You can have a nice private conversation in the confines of the bathroom while the two of you deuce the night away. That’s not even the kicker….the shower, which you can see is to the left of the toilet in the back, was apparently designed during the era when the average height of a human being was 5’2″. I’m 5’9″ and I feel like fucking Shaquille O’Neal in this fucking thing. Like my head sticks out past the top of the glass shower doors. When I shower I gotta lay down cuz the shower head pretty much just reaches my chest. The only time I had to do this was at Mikeyyyy’s house because he also has midget showers. Oh and another thing when I get out I usually get out on the side where the towel rack is and I guess I wasn’t paying attention because when I stepped out, I fuckin Sagat Tiger Knee’d the toilet so hard that the porcelain lid flew off the top. Shit kinda hurt. I guess it just takes some getting used to but the place isn’t bad. You can double deuce, watch TV, and lay down while showering. It’s a triple threat. I still got lots of unpacking to do so I’m gonna get back to that. I’ll come back with some other stuff when I can. I gotta use the internet over at Midnight Garage and Ross needs his Facebook time. Peace.
