Import Alliance Summer 2012 Coverage…From Varying Perspectives…Part 3…

It’s good to see that a majority of you are enjoying the coverage from this year’s IA Summer event. There are so many different events going on out here on the west coast that it’s sometimes very easily to forget that there are also events going on out in the east as well as other parts of the country. I’m trying my best to be at everything I can, no matter what part of the country it is. Time and monetary limitations will of course affect that, but I’m making a cautious effort to see what is out there. As you all know, I attended last year’s IA Summer Meet and had a blast. Just from looking at the photos from various sources, it does seem like this year’s was smaller than in year’s past. I think the new location change may have thrown a lot of people off and made them change their minds from making the trip but I think over the next couple years things will pick up again. It’s a shame that it isn’t in Nashville anymore but hey, that’s just how things are. You move on and you adapt. I’m interested to see where the summer meet will take place next year as I will once again plan to make a trip out there to visit everyone. The cars aren’t always my taste but I am happy to have had the opportunity to meet many of you out there because you are genuinely nice folks. Though it may not seem like it at times because I am so focused on what is happening out here, I do have my eyes on the automotive community east, midwest, northwest, wherever. Just keep doing what you guys do and I’m sure one day we will have the opportunity to share some words in person…

For today, we are going to take a look at the second half of Eric Badis’ photos from IA. He was excited that the event was held in his hometown this year and produced some pretty great shots. People are enjoying the shots and a couple of them have begun to pop elsewhere on the web. It’s cool that he’s receiving some recognition for his time and work because he usually just snaps photos and posts them up on the forums. You see them here on The Chronicles this week because his work deserves to be here. I strive to have some of the best content on the web here so I wouldn’t just toss up any shots. Eric was able to get these great shots and I’ve carefully gone over them and cleaned them up for you guys to see. Credit to him for allowing me to even touch his photos…

Tomorrow we are going  to move on to another set of photos from a completely different person and hopefully another set with some cars you haven’t seen yet from another photographer. Enjoy everyone…

Speaking of S2000s, here’s a LEGO version of Aaron Badis’ Spoon S2000 that Eric made. Eric is responsible for these photos but he actually runs a business where he builds custom LEGO versions of everything. Pretty cool stuff. If you guys remember a couple years back, there were some photos on the web of the LEGO Spoon/Type One facility. Well, that was a creation of Eric’s and he actually has all kinds of cool stuff on his site, click here to check it out…
