Stuff you should really look at…
Outside of all the events that have gone on lately, there’s actually quite a bit of stuff you guys should check out online that you might be interested in. Some of it you may not have heard or seen yet and there’s also a chance you’ve seen and heard all of it already, regardless, here we go…

It’s actually been out for a couple weeks now but if you haven’t had a chance to check it out, please go pick up the newest issue of Super Street magazine…

…Not only does it have a cover feature about an RX-7 from Japan owned by a surgeon…

..it also has this S2000 from Team Emotion that I had the pleasure of writing up the story for. It’s Spoon’d out S2K from the east that’s definitely worth checking out…

This issue is particularly special to me because I had the opportunity to shoot this Honda F20C-powered AE86 Corolla. I did the story and photos for it and in my honest opinion, I think it represents my best photo-work yet. I started out almost a year ago not knowing shit about taking pictures and I think I’ve learned a lot during that time and the shots of the Corolla in SS really show how much I have improved. Even if you don’t agree with me, the car is totally badass and worth looking at anyway. One of the reasons why the photos came out so good is because the car was incredibly easy to shoot. I couldn’t be happier with it and when the next issue comes out, I’ll probably put up the shots that weren’t used in the mag. There’s a bunch of pics leftover that weren’t run in the magazine and The Chronicles will definitely be the only place where you will get the chance to see those shots…

Here are some quick shots of PG+K Jay’s S2000 during a track day out at Road Atlanta. I love the way the car looks and to see it out on the track is truly a treat. It’s good to see one of the 2009/2010 Top Ten Hondas still doing big things and all in one piece. People are so quick to part-out/sell/build another car that you never get to see the owners use the cars to their full capabilities…

Fucking love it!…shout out to Jay, can’t wait to chill at Wek’Fest 2011 this coming year!! Look how focused he is in the last shot, haha. Dude almost stared a hole through his windshield…

Speaking of being on the track, the 5Zigen FD2 Civic Type R recently broke the FWD lap record at the Tsukuba Circuit during the recent RevSpeed Super Battle. The K20A turbocharged FD2 on nitrous ran a best time of 58.222 at Tsukuba and I’ve heard that this Civic makes around 500hp. It’s a pretty big deal for 5Zigen, especially on this particular track. I wanna build one of these Civics so bad…oh man, you guys have no idea….
Here’s a video of the record-setting lap at Tsukuba. Remember to turn up the volume so you can hear this thing scream, it sounds fucking nasty!….I love it…
If you want to see more pics of it and read more about the 5Zigen FD2 Civic, check the link here…
Before I go, I think you guys should also check out the JDMYard meet coverage held down in Australia. They certainly know how to build cars down there…

Great looking Mugen Integra on aggressive Volk CE28 wheels…The meet marked the debut of this project for them and they’re not nearly done with it yet so it’s worth keeping an eye on…

This EG hatch is one of the sickest builds to come from JDMYard. Everything about it is on point, fromt he J’s lip to the K-swap. If it were over here stateside it would give a couple guys a run for their money…I love the way the 949 wheels fit as well. Nothing to retarded crazy though, it’s just a clean build with a nice swap and all the right parts…
Photo credit goes to the dudes that shot the pics and you can see the rest of them on the NWP4Life forums here….
That’s all for today, I hope this rain goes away soon before the holidays come this weekend…I’m out for now, Peace!
The Chronicles/It’sJDMYo!! present…The 5Axis/Airrunner Lexus GS460…
Got something cool for you guys to check out today. I’ve known Tony from It’sJDMYo!! for almost a good decade now and since he’s started up his own site with Billy Shea, he’s managed to get in contact with a lot of different people and aftermarket parts manufacturers. It may seem like he only talks and deals with aspiring import models, but the dude is one of the hardest working people I know. He always goes above and beyond and really often times extends himself a little too much for people. That’s just the type of guy he is. Luckily he has an asshole friend in me who always tells him to not let people take advantage of his kindness. He’s a good dude so I look out for him and he does the same for me. Anyways, he’s recently developed a pretty good relationship with Shin from Airrunner. Airrunner, as you all know, is one of the more notable air suspension companies in our industry and have been so for the last couple years. Shin needed some pictures taken of the 5Axis GS460 that he’s been working on and Tony hit me up to see if I was down to shoot it. I had some extra time on my hands and the GS was sitting at 5Axis, which was a shop that I always wanted to see for myself. He just needed some shots for promo purposes as well as to document the work he had done on the car so it was a win-win situation for Shin, Tony, and I. Shin gets some semi-decent pictures of the car, Tony gets to post something other than ass and titties, and I get the opportunity to check out 5Axis and this GS460. It also happens to be one of the cars that I have had my eye on for quite some time now and I honestly had no idea Shin was even working on it. The last time I saw pictures of it the car was sitting on coilovers. Shin also wanted to show off this new iPad application that allowed the air suspension to be controlled wirelessly through the iPad. That shit is way beyond anything I’ll ever have but it’s cool to see people progressively coming up with new ways to change-up something as timeless as a simple air suspension set-up.
Alright, enough talking from me, if you guys want more history on the car itself and what Shin has been doing to it, make sure to check out “It’sJDMYo!!!” for more. It’s a collaborative effort between him and I but I have a couple different shots that were taken with a different angle/lens that I wanted to keep for The Chronicles. Other than that, the shots are basically the same, except I have all the higher resolution pictures available to you guys. I was pretty satisfied with the pictures considering the limited space that was allotted to me. Overall, I’m happy with it and I think Shin and Tony are pretty happy with the final result as well. The pics are actually processed for the largest size so obviously those would be the best ones to look at, especially if you have a screen that can handle it. Enjoy…

Dirt smudges on the iPad just means that the app is working, haha…

Quick hits…
Just a remind to everyone that FF Battle is this Friday and Saturday. The dyno portion is today but that is a private event so you guys won’t be able to see these cars run just yet. I’m actually gonna head out in the morning so I’m actually gonna try to sleep early for a change.
Other than that, just a quick update for you guys. I had a chance after the Stance:Nation shoot to go take some pictures of Linda from Team Praxis’ Toyota Matrix. It’s not a Honda, I know, but it’s definitely a cool build. It’s complete and the paint and bodywork on it is flawless. I didn’t get that many pictures that night because a cop kindly showed up and I wasn’t really in the mood to shoot with him just parked in the lot where we were at, even though he was actually a nice guy. You’ve probably seen some pics that I shot before at the same spot, it would be much nicer if there weren’t so many fuckin lights and shit there. Oh and there was also like some couple in their car that night while I was taking pictures. Must have been two people having some kind of strange illicit affair to be meeting up at a train station to mess around. These two were like mid-20s-30s already, fuck, get a hotel room. Don’t beat the dude off at the train station damn…anyways…pics…just a few…enjoy…
This Matrix is on air, custom kit, TRD supercharged, gold-plated parts, Rywire-equipped, everything…best Matrix ever. And the only modded one in the country that doesn’t have lambo doors and fuckin tribal graphics on it…

“It’s JDM Yo!!!” presents the Power Preview meet…

On Sunday, I went out to Power Toyota Cerritos for the “It’s JDM Yo!!!” Power Preview meet. The homies put the meet together last minute and it came out really well. It’s not a Honda thing or Honda event at all but it’s still good to go and check out some nice cars. I’m a fan of all things automotive and even though I have a deep appreciation for Hondas, anything that’s built the right way will always catch my eye.
Here is Tony from “It’s JDM Yo!!!” blog’s description of how the meet came about…
“Last Monday my friend from Power Toyota Cerritos approached us about helping them throw a car meet but with only 2 weeks notice. Something we weren’t too thrilled about. Reluctantly we agreed to help them only because depending on how this meet does they’ll let us host the next meet which they want to use as a kick off to what will eventually be a monthly meet. Pretty much how Norm Reeves Honda next door has their monthly Honda meets. Another reason we want to help them is because this location is pretty bomb. They have a 3 story parking structure above the service department and with the popularity with indoor parking structure shows we see great potential here…”
I had already ate earlier in the day because my parents came out to visit but from what everyone was eating, they had some great food at the meet because it was all catered and what not. The meet was a great success and I’m sure the future ones will be better and better. On with the pics…
Walked over to the Midnight Garage booth area and saw Tony’s NSX. If you’re wondering why an NSX is at a Toyota meet, I couldn’t tell you. I guess they invited him out anyway just because they wanted to see his car in person and they gave him a nice spot inside the building…

Then I saw this thing roll up…pretty crazy set-up. I have to say it’s one of the craziest soarer/SC builds I’ve seen…

…after it parked I looked closer at it and the paint could use some work but I think once that’s taken care of, it’ll be a badass car. It has all the right stuff on it and I look forward to seeing more of it in the future…

Freddie and the Auto Fashion guys were out with the Airrunner booth….

Random fighter pilot getting food from the catering section…

Kinda wish I woulda jumped on the food so I could have eaten this…

Billy’s IS of course. He’s also one of the guys that runs the “It’s JDM Yo!!!” shindig and he helped put this meet together with Tony Lee…

…here’s Billy doing some coverage…

Goldmember’s new set-up. He completely redid the entire car and it’s all kitted-up now and everything…looks great…

Matty’s xB of course…

Serious business discussion…

The other man behind the meet. This guy right here had been stressing all week over this shit and it all paid off in the end…

Mikeyyyy and some bBSquad guys…

No gold bay, trust me…

Dancar’s JDM everything bB…hopefully I’ll get to take some more indepth pics of this car soon…

Always good to see Emerson…he stopped by because he had to bring his aunt some lumpia…

Nick’s Supra… I think he was drinking somewhere…

This guy ate tacos…

I didn’t take this.

Randoms….
That’s a wrap.
Oh what’s this…this ain’t a Honda…
I am pretty fucking tired right now. Terribly tired. I had to knock out some features for Super Street that they needed in a matter of days so I haven’t really had much of an opportunity to sleep. I probably fell asleep like 3 times already as I am typing this. Anyways, I really do have some Honda stuff for you guys but I’m too beat to upload it right now so here are some pics I shot of during SEMA 2009. The xB belongs to Gene from bBSquad. Please don’t leave me any comments telling me that a bbsquad already exists and it’s a Prelude crew. I don’t know, I didn’t think of the name. You guys need to get together and have some kind of knife fight or something to figure out who owns the name.
I edited these a couple days ago when I was taking a break from writing and I’m pretty happy with the way they came out. I must apologize to Gene and the rest of the squad for taking so long with the pics, after all it’s been a good 6 months since I took them.
Okay, I can’t type anymore I think I’m going blind, enjoy the pics… Oh yeah, man angles are the same because I shot them at different locations thinking that some of them would come out shitty. Luckily, they all came out pretty decent so here you go…

Alright I’m off to bed, hopefully when I wake up the sun will still be around…laters…
Justice strikes again!…
Thanks to Phaze2 Tony for passing this on through the NWP forums. It’s not really Honda-related but for anyone who owns a Honda and has had something stolen from them, this is great. A user fromt he MR2OC and Club Lexus forums discovers one day that his TOM’s C7 wheels were stolen. I don’t have the full story because I’m not a user on the MR2OC forums but from the CL forum, he actually finds his wheels on Craigslist and sets up a meeting with the guy to possibly buy the wheels. TOM’s C7s aren’t exactly the most common wheel and especially with that particular gold finish, he knew that they were his. So he contacts the local authorities and talks to the detectives and they determine that they are in fact his so they work with him to expose this thief. Below are the videos from the owner of the wheels himself. You can see how he pulls it off perfectly and how dumb the thief is with his excuses. Apparently, he found them on an abandoned trailer that his mom owned or something…ahh it’s interesting stuff…check out the videos and watch justice get served as this tool gets arrested for theft and attempting to sell the guy his rare TOM’s wheels for $350….
Thief’s shitty Eclipse getting towed away…
Justice prevails…for once…haha…
Some shots from the Modified Magazine Tuner Shoot-out…

Loi Song and The Chronicles Top Honda of 2009 made an appearance at the Modified Magazine Tuner Shoot-out over the past weekend. Here are some pics courtesy of none other than Loi himself. I don’t know the results and who won but even if I did I’m sure I couldn’t reveal it to you guys. They’re probably keeping it a secret until the actual results come out in a future issue of Modified magazine. These pics should hold you over for now though….some Honda and non-Honda content ahead…

Sportcar Motion DC2R…

I’m sure somebody will say something about the front wing in the comments section…

Sportcar Motion Integra parked next to Tage Evanson’s hatchback…

Really like the aero on this NSX…especially the rear diffuser…

Remix Irwindale Coverage…

Very few Honda coverage pics here because it’s going elsewhere (as I mentioned in the other post). So I’ll just put up some non-Honda stuff mixed in with some Honda stuff here and there. Plus the usual debauchery of course that comes with anything we do…

My opinion of the show? Umm…certainly I think it coud have been advertised a little better. It came outta nowhere and then some people were super hyped for it, some didn’t know what it was, and most weren’t hyped and had no idea it was even going on. The judging? Always an issue. Not really sure what was going on there but the results were sketchy to say the least. Either get better judges, or judge correctly. Overall I think it was an alright show. Every show held at Irwindale seems very similar though. I hope in the future it continues to improve, this is just a starting point and I kinda expected the turnout to be the way it was. Always good times chillin with the homies though.
I should mention, for everyone going to an event, please please please hydrate and drink plenty of fluids. You never know when the hot weather is gonna hit, especially in Socal. We had a guy who was just there to check out the show literally pass out in front of one of our friend’s cars. Not really sure what the issue was but it looked like he was suffering from heatstroke or something similar. Had to be attended to and taken away. It was kinda scary to be honest because we watched it happen and were completely shocked. I wanna say this was an individual case but there was another person that also got wobbly and/or fainted in the food line. Please take care of yourselves. The people involved with putting on these events can get into alot of trouble if these things continue to happen. We wouldn’t want anyone getting their event shutdown.
Anyways, back to the action. Remix…was cool, had some highlights, could use some improvements. I hope it gets better and better, we need more events like these. It’s starting to become scarce…
Random ass comments are forth coming…

The homie Doug representing The Chronicles to the fullest. JDMEgo Jay and Salem in the distance…

Ballin’ ass LS460 that I occasionally see on the freeway. I hope to own one of these someday…maybe in 2036 or some shit when they’re only 4 grand…we can only dream…

A car I actually currently own. This Y33 Q45 is representing Platinum VIP. Version Select kit, JDM headlights, Vienna Dish wheels…nice car. Makes me miss mine. I haven’t even seen my car in like a couple months. Hopefully that shit still starts…

Big Mike of course…

HeyMikeyyyy’s xB…

Some dude that looks like Loi from SportCar Motion…

One of my favorite xBs of all-time…as seen on The Chronicles…

The guy’s pants were so tight I can see how much change he had in his pocket…

Craziest Matrix you will ever see in your whole life. Something tells me you might be seeing more of this car very soon on this site…

Import Tuner cover model Maureen Chen posing in front of the Street Lights Civic…

Guess who…

Peep that site…

Infinit wheels CR-X…

This is the look Salem gives me everytime I bring up how much I dislike those black Regamaster wheels on his car…Seriously….sell those already…

Antonio from Motormavens always gives me love on his site when Honda stuff in mentioned on there. So I decided to pay him back (Terribly by the way) by taking this horrible pic of him…You’re welcome sir. Next time I promise it’ll be a better shot. Maybe I’ll actually prepare you for it…

Everytime I look at this car it reminds me of chilli cheese. I don’t know what they’re talking about with the giraffe thing. Personally I want to eat Wienershnitzel when I see this car. Funny thing about Wienershnitzel is that it comes out the exact way it goes in. Now most of you may think that it means that I think this car looks like shit. That is untrue. I just like to eat Wienershnitzel and study my dookie. The fact that any car reminds me of chilli cheese should be a great compliment. What the fuck am I talking about. I like Guillermo, he’s a nice guy. I just don’t like that I can’t spell his name for the life of me and I always have to go on Facebook just to check if I’m spelling it correctly…

Meeting of the minds…

Billy’s IS300 of course…

I’ve been waiting for someone to do one of these new Maximas up…looks great!…

F50 Q45…
Okay, now I’m sure any of you who have followed the Wek’Fest coverage has already heard that Tony with the Phaze2 NSX is getting a new hood. Because he’s getting a new hood, he came up with this idea to get all the well-known models to sign his old hood. Well you heard about the Lisa Fleming gag that they did but this time the joke was on Tony. He asked Maureen Chen to sign his hood and she accidently signed his fender in the process. She was so upset about it that I heard that she cried about it but it’s okay, I mean, it’ll come out. No biggie…

Tony got a bunch more girls to sign his hood at this show because frankly, there were more models at this show than cars. And on top of that, Tony was parked right next to the model booth area so he had access to everyone he every fantasized about…haha…

Horrible angle for facial identification, I know…It’s actually Jeri Lee. I normally don’t take pics of models because that’s not what this site is about, but I will if they’re defacing Tony’s car or sitting on his headlights…

Here’s a less perverse angle…

Smell check?…

Tony probably would have put those stickers on his hood anyway…

Ursula Mayes came by and signed too…

Back to car stuff…

Salem and Doug…

Saw this Mini at the Auto Concept area that was fucking AMAZING…Honda K-powered as well with all kinds of crazy fabrication…

You can spot the K here through the rear window…

According to Billy everything is titanium as well…$$$$$… Crazy….

Infinit Wheels Civic hatchback…

Custom widebody GS…rear looks almost stock. I saw the build for this car on VIPstylecars and the rear was chopped up and extended…

One more of Mikeyyyy’s xB and Big Mike in the background with his Monopoly man-stache…
That’s pretty much it. I’ll post the rest of the stuff that was unused later on if I get the chane to….Thanks for looking.
I’m proud to say that I’m pretty good at what I do…I think…
Oh man, what a hectic week of work it has been. Mr. JDM Wong sure knows how to give me the most interesting cars to write about. Started out the week doing a feature on a pretty bad ass RX-7 from of all places, Green Bay, Wisconsin. Now I don’t really know too much about Green Bay other than the Packers, who I really don’t care for by the way, but I really had no idea they had an import community out there. Not sure how strong it is but this car makes a good case that people out there know what they’re doing with their cars. So I did that, knocked it out and was presented with another gem. The Super Street guys rarely have me writing about Honda stuff, because they have a resident “Honda guy”, so I get to write about all kinds of other cars, which I really enjoy. I may have a fondness for Hondas, but I’m a car afficionado afterall and love anything that’s tastefully built. I’m not gonna turn down Honda work, but whenenver I get to write about something else, I’m always interested.
So I get this AE86 that no one really knows about and even the tech sheet was nothing more than a couple mods. Like for the engine mods it wasn’t even filled out. I ended up doing about 2-3 nights straight of all internet research just so I could come up with something on the car. Man, I gotta say, this AE86 is something else. There was nothing on the internet about this car at all. I had to come up with random search terms about the car just to dig up anything on it. When I did finally come up with something, it was GOLD. Man, I learned so much about that car and the country of Japan that I almost felt a sense of accomplishment finding out that information. Turns out that this AE86 I was writing about actually used to be this car…

Those of you that recognize it, good job because this car hasn’t been relevant or in the public spotlight for I don’t know, like over 6 years now? Apparently the internet wasn’t around 6+ years ago because I couldn’t find shit on this car either! I definitely do remember it though because I was a big fan of Tarzan Yamada back in the day and remembered all the cars he drove. Anyways, it looks nothing like that now and the only resemblance it has to this look was the Maziora paint. I did so much random ass research in Google translator (for the Japanese) that I even learned a shitload about Maziora. Most of it wasn’t even relevant to what I was looking for like…
a Maziora saxophone?….

Fuckin’ crazy….That’s not all either. They even have a Maziora cell phone…

I mean, how much extra money do you even have to be able to spend on something like this. Seriously, it’s like either in your pocket or in your purse most of the time, one or the other. The only time you need a Maziora cell phone is when that shit is glued to your fucking face. I would ruin that the first 2 hours I owned it…
I really can’t give out too many more details on the 86 though because I’ll probably get in trouble, but man, it made for a couple interesting nights. So be on the look-out for that issue when it hits the stands. I put some hard work into that, the least you can do is buy the issue! Don’t just read it and put that shit down. One of these days, if that shit keeps happening, there won’t be anymore magazines because we’ll all be out of jobs. BUY THE MAGAZINE. You spend 5 bucks to stuff your face and then shit it out, the least you can do is spend another $5 and have something to read while you do that…
Before I leave you guys to get some much needed sleep, I also found this old pic of the Speedmaster/Maziora EK Civic. Does anyone remember this thing? I haven’t seen it in ages!…

Wish I could find more info on this car…damn. Oh that reminds me, I also found the Car Service Hiro blog…those guys do some incredible work with Maziora paint…amazing stuff…alright, goodnight finally…PEACE.
Stupid busy…
To say that I’m busy would be an understandment. With the holidays fast approaching, magazine deadlines have been cut in half and we’re trying to complete all the work as quickly as possible. No one wants to work on the holidays but magazines have to go to print. The only way to keep the schedule consistent is to work work work….I’m doing exactly that and hustlin’. I wish I had more for you guys but you all understand how it is. I need money on my table and money to buy gifts for my loved ones so I can’t just sit around and put things off.
I did manage to get an early Christmas gift in the form of a big ass 24-inch Samsung monitor. This thing is so big I can feel my vision getting worse and worse as I stare at it….haha. It’s not as big as Mikeyyyy’s but he’s got a Mac and I’m too dumb to know how to use those things efficiently. All he ever uses it for is to answer PM’s on NWP and Honda-Tech anyway.
I did find some time out of my busy schedule this week to meet up with my homie Billy though. I known the guy forever now and every time he calls me to go somewhere I’m usually down cuz I know that dude will come through whenever I need him. It’s only fair that I reciprocate. I hate people that just call when they want something or some shit and when tough times come, they don’t even bother to offer help. I just don’t need those types of people in my life. Billy is my boy and though we’ve gotten older and have more things to deal with now then just going out and partying, we always find the time to hang out to shoot the shit.
He needed to get his car corner balanced and with some suggestion from JDMEGO Jay, he decided to go to Evasive Motorsports. I personally have never been to Evasive so I decided to go over there and check it out with Billy. I brought the good camera but I don’t know those guys over there very well so I didn’t want to intrude and just start taking pictures of everything. I just left the camera in the car and watched the guy do work on the IS300. Billy asked if it was okay to take pics and the guy didn’t seem to mind, but still, it’s kinda weird to just kinda intrude on their space and take pics of stuff that might be important to them. So what did I decide to do? Take out my cell phone and take some creepy spy shots…haha. Pretty messed up but I figure I looked more like a noob that way and they won’t get mad at me if they saw me taking pictures. A simple “hey asshole, stop taking pictures” would have worked. Not like I need anything from them or could possibly steal secret data from them. Just thought I’d give you guys a glimpse of what goes on over there. It’s a really nice shop. They have a lot of parts that are pretty rare that most shops wouldn’t have in stock. And they also have a lot of stuff that you wouldn’t normally see and would only see on the internet or something…

Here’s Billy’s IS on the rack…it was surprising to actually see the numbers on this car. We both thought that the car would be top heavy because of the iron block and turbo and what not, but weight distribution was still pretty even with the front holding 51 percent of the weight. That’s almost 50/50 weight distribution. Probably helps that he has a heavy ass system in his trunk. The car itself is a boat though and easily weighed over 3500lbs…

A really nice S2000 that they were working on…I was looking around for the Voltex kit since Evasive was the first to have it but it was no where to be found…

The guy that was working on the IS at the time pulled up a chair so that I could sit down and this was my view…

I got kinda restless so i got up to take a look at their personal time attack EVO. This thing is amazing. I love built EVOs and this thing looks like it could fuck some shit up…Full Voltex aero, gutted headlights, etc…

This thing is no joke…
After that we got hungry and headed out to Yoshinoya to grab a quick bite. I’d take pics of that too but I’m sure you can use your imagination. There was a styrofoam box with some rice, some sauce you know, chicken, beef, all that good shit. We ate and headed back and went for a test drive in Billy’s IS…this thing is fuckin fast!….oh man, I haven’t been in a fast car like that in a while. The power from that T51R just puts you into your seat. My Q45 is so slow that I could fall asleep and fall off the seat. Sounds amazing to be inside too…
That was about it…we just went home after that and called it a day. Sorry for the quality of the pics. I’ll try to come back with more shit for you guys next week once I’m all down with work….
Quick hits…

So I went over to the JTuned Formula D Pro-Am event on Saturday to go check it out and hang out with some of my homies, but I had prior engagements so of course I showed up late. I got there with like about 2 hours left until it was over and a majority of the cars had left already. It was actually a meet but they donated the proceeds from the event to cancer research. Good to see that our industry is trying to give back and support good causes. They also had the Formula D Pro-Am where amateur drifters competed for an opportunity to participate in next year’s Formula D comp. They were probably a little over 15 cars left over and I got pics of that stuff, but I also had the chance to take some pics of my boy Billy’s IS300 as well as Karen’s EVO. If you’re not familiar with the Evo, it’s the one that was dominating the show scene for the last couple of years. Karen and Jay from JDMEGO built this thing and it recently got some new wheels and Jay asked me to take some updated pictures of it. It’s rare to see Jay come out to anything because he’s usually bumming it at home or incredibly busy, and it’s even rarer to see the EVO driven andywhere so it was definitely cool to be able to get some picture of it. You know the routine, most of the pics have links to click to enlarge and what not. I’ll be back with more coverage from the actual event once I go through the pics as well as continued SEMA coverage…

Did you see the $500 T1R lugs…gotdamn, haha…back with more stuff tomorrow…Oh and make sure to check out JDMEGO’s new blog since it’s moved over to the Fatlace network….The guy’s been blogging forever now and now he’s got a whole new layout and everything…
Totally NOT a Honda…
Words/Photos – Joey Lee
Well, got some more non-Honda related stuff for you guys since it’s been pretty slow around here. I guess you can say it’s Honda related because the owner once owned an EP Civic that was pretty wild. Apparently, it got jacked and he moved on to this project…This is everything but a Honda and it’s pretty rare to see one of these done up stateside. Overseas, they have the Estima and whatever and they have their own following over there. Here in the U.S., eh, you can barely call it a following. Some guys have the patience and the balls to attempt to build a Previa, and most will say “I’d build one” and never do it. In any case, it’s definitely a rare sight to see one completely done up. I recently ran into Jimmy from Team Praxis at Midnight Garage and I just said “Fuck it, let’s get some shots of it…” I’m always down to take pics of different cars, it’s always nice to expand your horizons you know…and to actually have a chance to shoot a van? Hell, why not?….
I don’t have any details on it, I apologize in advance. Uhh…It’s a Previa, it’s on air suspension, it has a kit on it, and it has wheels. Oh, and the interior has complete hardwood floors…haha, it’s pretty neat….alright, enjoy….

Pretty cool huh? Not something you would expect to see rolling around the streets of Socal…
Oh and here’s a “behind-the-scenes” shot to give you guys an idea of how the originals looked and after they were processed by your’s truly…

=P
Thanks for looking, and thanks to Jimmy for coming out…
