NSX’s

Exclusive Content: Pics from Tony’s Feature that didn’t make the cut…

I’ve been sitting on these for a couple weeks now but I have had so much other stuff to post up that I hadn’t had the opportunity to get these out to you guys. These are the unused pics from Tony’s NSX feature that was on the cover of Honda Tuning a couple months back. It is pretty hard to take a bad picture of Tony’s NSX so these weren’t left out because of that, there probably were just too many GOOD pics of the car that the feature would have ran long. When Rodrez sent these over to me I was surprised that these weren’t used but then I pick up the copy of that particular issue of HT and the whole layout makes sense. All the better because now I can bring you the rest of the pics…Enjoy…

Photo credit of course goes to Rodrez…

Love this rear shot, makes the car look so meaty and aggressive…

This one is pretty cool…a rear rolling engine shot, haha…when was the last time you saw one of these?…

Wait until you guys see what Tony has planned next year…oh man…I can’t wait!…PEACE.

The Top 10 Hondas of 2009…A retrospective…Part 1…

Well, it’s a little over the halfway mark of 2010 and I thought now would be as good a time as any to take a look back at the Top 10 Hondas of 2009 and catch up with them to see where they are at now. I did the same thing last year for the 2008 class of Hondas and the cars that year remained basically the same. This year however is a little different. There’s a bit of change with some of the cars of the 2009 class and I’ve taken the liberty of updating you guys with more current pictures of the cars. We will go over 10-5 today and then 4-1 the following day. It’s always good to get an update so let’s begin…

10. HBK Jon’s Honda Civic hatchback and Mr. Coupe’s Honda Civic coupe…(Tie)

What he’s up to now: Kinda funny that both of these guys ended up tied for the tenth spot because neither of them are active anymore. HBK Jon sold the car awhile back and has moved on. The interesting thing is that his feature finally came out in the current Import Tuner mag that’s on newstands now. It took awhile but Jon’s feature finally made it. You can actually see how long it took because the smaller photo in the above picture was taken the day his car was shot for IT and his feature barely hit the stands this month. Probably would have been cooler to see the mag when he still had that car but oh well, it’s cool to see nonetheless. The feature and pics by Luke came out really well so make sure to go grab a copy and check it out…

What he’s up to now: When I had posted the Top 10 list in December, Mike’s car had already been parted and out of commission. Today, it’s still the same. Just sits there waiting for Mike to rebuild it. He’s working really hard on getting his own shop, Track. One, up and running so his time has been 99% completely devoted to that. The other 1% of course, is devoted to Mike posting Facebook pictures of himself flexing, haha. I swear that’s all I see everytime he updates. His shop is looking good though and was built completely from the ground up with Mike overseeing it. The guy knows what he’s doing and I wish nothing but the best for that guy…

9. Dagreenek aka Steve Kwan’s Honda Civic hatchback…

What he’s up to now: Steve is still at it. The Honda Tuning magazine cover boy is still going at it and his Civic is looking better than ever. It’s great to see guys that continue on with their projects after their features. Nowadays it’s so hard to find an owner who actually keeps their car. Most of the guys I see usually sell their Honda right after they get mag coverage or even go as far as to put the car up for sale before their feature even comes out! The most obvious change at first glance is that rare First Molding front lip. It gives Steve’s Civic such an aggressive look and the new wheel set-up and seats flow much better than the old set-up. Everytime I see pictures of this guy’s car he’s got something different…

8. Phil Anastacio’s J32-powered Civic…

What he’s up to now: Here’s another guy that decided to keep his car and continue on with it. Not only is he not parting his car out, he’s also pushing the envelope even further. Phil now has a blower sticking out on top of his J32 swap. You know this car wouldn’t last 10 min in California without it being impounded but in Canada, I guess it’s all good. There’s even videos online of him driving around with this supercharger sticking way out of his non-existent hood. Phil posted pics up on NWP and he says he’s gonna cut out another hood for it but he might as well just not make one. So much is going on up top that there’s almost no point. This Civic looks crazy. I wonder how much power he’ll be able to make when he gets this thing dialed in…Jesus, there’s a fucking supercharger sticking out of this thing…

7. S2kjay’s Honda S2000…

What he’s up to now: Of the 10 Hondas on the list, Jay’s S2000 has probably taken the most aggressive transformation since the list was made. He completely re-did the car with a new Spoon front bumper, wheels, and Laguna Seca Blue paint. The bay was tucked also courtesy of another guy that we mentioned early; Mike from Track.One. The yellow was great but the new paint definitely stands out, almost as much as Jay’s air jack set-up. Jay loves Hondas and even came out again for Eibach to hang out with the west coast heads and plans to make another trip out for Nisei Showoff. He’s one of the guys who is always looking to change up his car and I look forward to what else he has up his sleeve…

6. Rywire’s Honda CR-X…

What he’s up to now: Ryan’s CR-X has not changed at all and with good reason. He’s busy putting in work  on some of the best cars (not just Hondas) in the West and also putting together his insane K-swapped ITR. With so much work to do, Ryan has had little time to work on his own car. The CR-X is perfect the way it is though so there’s also no reason to mess with it anymore. A couple of progress pictures of his ITR have popped up on the internet and that thing is definitely going to be a sight to see when he finally finishes it…

5. Tony Khamly’s Sorcery NSX…

What he’s up to now: We’ve had two guys that no longer work on their Hondas, three guys that have gone on and made their builds even better, and now with Tony, two guys who really haven’t done much to their cars since then. Tony’s has had some minor changes here and there but it remains mostly the same. He was finally happy enough with the car to have it shot for a feature and deservingly landed the cover of the current issue of Honda Tuning. Tony plans to redo the Phaze2 NSX and when he does, trust me, you will know about it. He’s got some crazy plans for this thing and I’ll keep you updated when he decides to start the major makeover…

That’s it for today, hope you guys are entertained… the rest of the list tomorrow, stay tuned…

Exclusive Content…A first look at the upcoming issue of Honda Tuning…

Today we’re gonna take a first glance at the new issue of Honda Tuning. Of course you have all heard about this from me already and it’s a significant issue for me and the rest of the Phaze2 guys because one of our very own, Tony Khamly, will grace the cover. You have all seen the NSX out and about at events for the last year or so and it’s definitely deserving of all it’s praise. It is also very special to us since this NSX was the labor of love/love child of Tony and Ross at Midnight Garage. Ross put this car together with Tony and did all the paint and bodywork on it. Now that Midnight Garage is gone, it’s good that we still have this NSX to remember all the good times we had over there. I have so many great memories with this car, from putting Tony putting on the supercharger and then driving to Norcal immediately after, all the awards and accolades it has received at shows, and just cruising around alongside it. It has become a staple in the Socal Honda community and we all couldn’t be happier to see finally immortalized in print. I had a chance to see the layout of the issue a couple weeks ago at the Source Interlink office and it looks amazing, so I can’t wait for you all to see it. Until it hits the newstands in a week or so, Rodrez has been kind enough to pass these images onto me to show all of you. It’s just a quick teaser of what’s to come…thanks for looking and make sure to grab the issue when it comes out!…Support Hondas, support magazines, and support Phaze2 and The Chronicles!!

Actual…Honda…News…?

Ah man, I know there hasn’t really been much to update lately. Mainly because it’s the beginning of the year and well, everyone on this half of the coast is going nuts in anticipation for the 2010 Wek’Fest event. It’s crazy to think that most of us just hang out now and all we can talk about is how anxious we are to go to Norcal. Not only is it coming up soon but my birthday is that week as well along with Big Mike and Jeremy’s. It’s gonna be fun just to be able to get away and explore San Francisco and see good friends as well as meet new faces. All is well and everyone looks to be heading in the right direction as far as getting their cars prepared.

Besides that though, there is actual Honda news from the rest of the world. I know it’s hard to believe but occassionally, on this Honda-dedicated site, there is actual Honda content, haha…And though this is a Honda site, I actually had to find these pics from a non-Honda guy, Jon Sibal. He’s someone who I respect very much for what he does for a living as well as his view on all things automotive so be sure to check out his site.

First thing I got for you is the first pictures of the HSV-010 GT (aka the next generation NSX that will never see production) in action with completed graphics/livery schemes. You have probably all seen the HSX GT in it’s flat black form but these pics will give you guys a good idea of what they will look like when Super GT officially begins…

I don’t know how I feel about them because the car looked so menacing in black and the colored versions almost look fake. I gotta say though, it’s amazing to see this piece of machinery in action and an even greater feeling to hear this thing roar. Check out the video at the bottom. Shit sounds like an F1 car….I would use references like “oh I just came” or “oh I just shit my pants” but I’ d. You know what makes me shit my pants? Uhh…like a fucking gallon of chili. I don’t know, just watch the video, soil yourself if you must…Oh and thank god for HD Youtube, I’m tired of watching car videos on there and that shit looking like that Tony Stewart Off-Road arcade game…You know, that game from the early 90s with 4 big ass steering wheels and the trucks in the game are the size of a pubic hair? Yah that one….nitro booost!!!….

By the way, there aren’t pics of it but watch the video and catch that Raybrig HSV….goodness…shit is mean!!!

Remember to watch this in 720P!!…

Oh and I also saw these images on his site of the 2010 BTCC Honda Civic… I just can’t help but wonder how North America would have reacted if this car had made it’s way to our shores. It’s definitely an interesting looking car. With all the new Subaru Imprezas on the road and everyone fascinated with oddball looking cars, I would imagine these would do quite well over here. Great job of hiding that rear door handle too, good design….

Pretty interesting right?…

Prep for Wek’Fest…

…has officially begun. At least for Tony anyway, he’s finally getting back to work on the NSX. Can’t wait until this bad boy is finished and on the road for Wek’Fest! Should be a fun drive listening to this guy’s exhaust for 5 hours! Haha…

Stay tuned!…

Probably one of the coolest things I have ever seen…

If you guys took a look a couple posts back at the Tokyo Auto Salon 2010 coverage, you’ll probably at one point spotted a Honda NSX Super GT car constructed entirely of cardboard…yeah, cardboard. It doesn’t run or anything of course but it was actually assembled inside and out with cardboard and even has a cardboard skeleton….

Looks pretty sick right? Haha, almost looks exactly like the real thing. Sure it’s cool looking but if you saw it at the show, you would give it one look and go “oh wow, that’s neat” and then go on your way. What you may not know is all the hard work that went behind it. Phaze2 Tony posted this up on his Facebook and I took the liberty of trying to translate it to see what all went on in the process. The translation isn’t super good and I actually had to find a couple different translation sites before I could find one that worked. I guess Epson put this whole thing together by blowing up an 1/24 scale model and printing out each piece for assembly. Think of it as one of those old cardboard airplane models you got when you were a kid, just in actual life size….

I’ve linked the site below for you guys to look at and it’s the semi-translated version. It’s a bit hard to understand but you’ll get the jist of it just by looking at the pictures and the little blurbs they have below them. Stuff like this you won’t normally see in the US because we just don’t have the kind of creativity that the Japanese do, I’m serious. If Epson USA attempted something like this the company would go to Chapter 11 backruptcy and the whole staff would be out of jobs. There’s so much detail in this that it’s ridiculous to even see it attempted, much less pulled off. From reading it, the guys that put it together say that it was a lot harder than they thought it would be but the end result I think is definitely worth it. So take a look at the site, I guarantee it’ll be one of the coolest things you’ve ever seen…

Amazing…

Wow…

I’m sure most of you have heard or seen pics of the Honda HSV GT or what we knew as the next generation NSX. Yes it did get the can a couple months back when Honda decided to scrap plans to produce it, but it will be available for the GT500 class of the Japan Super GT Race series. There’s been a bit of confusion as to why it’s allowed to run because most know the rule that all participants must be production vehicles but…but….the HSV will be allowed to run because the rule also allows for “production-ready” vehicles. Meaning that as long as the car is ready for mass production, it’s technically a “production vehicle”…

It’s a shame that it will never actually see production in the mass market though. Such a beautiful car… Not to say that the production model would have looked exactly like this or anything, but at least it’ll carry similar styling-cues. Phaze2xDoods Tony with the NSX and I were talking about this earlier tonight and we both came to an agreement that even if it were produced, we would never even be able to own one until like 20 years later when they’re relics and not worth anything, so it’s better that they don’t produce it. Tony would just buy it and put it in his garage where he will turn it into another closet/storage unit like his current NSX…

I would never own one if it came out because I can’t drive for shit. I mean, I couldn’t drive a nail into a wall if I wanted to. I tried to angle my car out of a Denny’s driveway one time and I almost flipped over. I’m kidding of course. I just wouldn’t really own one of these things unless I knew how to make full use of it you know…Anyways, this thing looks amazing. The front end still has a distinct NSX look to it and the rear still retains the one-piece rear taillamp like the current NSXs…

Just imagine if this thing was painted a bright red color or championship white….oh man…shit would be crazy. What would be even crazier is if this thing ever did go into production and you can grab a copy of Best Motoring and see this car battling the Lexus LF-A…damn…

I thought it was the V10 in there but to conform to GT500 class rules, they had to pull that and swap in a 3.4L V8 that’s good for about 500hp. The original concept car was to have an all-wheel drive system too but again to conform to rules,  the system was removed for a real-wheel drive layout…

Alright enough talking, you guys should really watch these videos if you haven’t by now. They’re all over the net by now but if you haven’t had a chance to see them, make sure to check them out now. Just to see this thing in action and to hear that motor scream…oh man, amazing….There’s a 3rd video but it looked like it was shot with a cell phone or something blair witch like and I almost threw up from all the shaking. Feel free to find it if you think you need to see more….

So sick!…

Tony’s neglected NSX…COMPLETED…

It should be clear to everyone by now that Tony’s NSX is well, no longer neglected. It was a race to the finish but it indeed made it’s way to Nisei Showoff after a two year absence. Not only did it make it, it made it in a HUGE way and even went as far as to take home the 1st Place Acura award. Not bad for a car that was basically a stationary automotive closet that was rotting away inside a garage right? We couldn’t be happier with the result so a couple days after we had a chance to recover from the show, I met up with Tony to take some pictures of the NSX. They’re nothing special but I just wanted to get some better pics out there besides the ones from the show where there were swarms of people around it. I hope everyone enjoyed the Nisei coverage though. From what I’ve been hearing, it’s all been good things. Think of this as a post-Nisei follow-up to Tony’s road to Nisei. Without further ado, I present to you…. The Phaze2xDoods!/HotStuffInternational Sorcery Widebody NSX…

Thanks for looking guys. I hope to have some good shots of Big Mike’s Prelude when it’s all finished up too…For those of you who think these pics are pretty whack and would like to see the NSX in person, make sure to come out to Mega Matsuri this weekend and check it out for yourselves…

The road to Nisei…Tony’s neglected NSX…Part 4…

The NSX is officially at the bodyshop now getting all the aero back on and getting a nice buff. I was there earlier tonight when the tow truck dropped it off and got a chance to check on everything. It all looks to be on schedule and with only a couple days left. The most important thing was getting this thing started first and with all the bad gas in there it’s still running a little weird but by show day everything should be straight…It’s an awesome sight to see this thing running after so long. I don’t even own it and I miss it…haha.

Thought you guys might like to have been there when it started as well, so enjoy…

Sick right? Ha…

Anyways so I was at the shop at night just to check on how the aero came out before paint. I brought the camera but then realized that I was a dumbass and forgot the memorycard so I had to resort to using my phone camera, which kinda sucks dick. So sorry for the quality…

This is how the NSX looked fresh off the tow truck…everything is not bolted in obviously but it sounded nasty when Tony drove it around a little…

Front bumper is looking good, especially with the vents filled in. Can’t wait to see it back on the car. Even the carbon lower piece is repaired. Just waiting on paint which has probably already happened by the time you’re reading this. I’ll see what’s up with it Friday and how far off it is before showtime early Saturday. Stay tuned…

The road to Nisei…Tony’s neglected NSX…Part 3…

Oh man, things are starting to get pretty hectic around here. Big Mike’s build is coming down to the wire and the NSX is close to being finished. Today we’ll look at Tony’s stuff because Big Mike just has so much shit going on that I haven’t even been able to sort through all the pictures with me having features to write this past weekend….

As you can see the front bumper is now patched up. The carbon piece on the bottom stills needs to be repaired and painted. We kinda discussed plans to fill in the two outer vents and Tony went ahead and had them do just that. Just have a much sleeker appearance with the two vents filled and shaved…

Both fenders have been fixed and are back in one piece. Can’t wait to see it painted and back on the car…

The door panels had to come off because Tony and the shop are working on getting some custom mirrors on there. He had some tear drop carbon fiber ones but decided it wasn’t going to work because they were too small. He ditched those and plans on using some other ones he already had…

While Tony still had the NSX at home, he took the headliner and trim pieces out cuz he planned on replacing them. Doesn’t look like there’s gonna be enough time now so I think he’s probably just gonna clean it up and put it back in…

The car’s been sitting for over a year now so it definitely doesn’t start anymore. Tony drained the tank last night and fixed a small oil leak on the motor. Today he was gonna get some new gas in there, get a new battery, and try to get this thing running again. Once the car is moveable, it’s off to the bodyshop where the aero pieces will go back on. Then it’s gonna get colormatched, sanded, and the entire car buffed. Then baring any surprises…off to Nisei. Everyone has there fingers crossed at this point, shits getting serious!…More pics soon….

The road to Nisei…Tony’s neglected NSX…Part 2…

Finally, an update on the NSX…Last time we checked-in, the NSX was being used as a storage unit with all kinds of shit stuff inside of it. Well Tony finally emptied it out and being to tear off the front-end so that it could be sent off for repairs…

Don’t think many people got to see the rear of this NSX before with the rear diffuser installed. He had actually just put this on last year before Nisei but as you all know, the trailer fucked this thing up pretty badly so no one ever got to see it. You can also see the custom center-exit L-Con exhaust…

Nice to see the interior again after all the clothes and shit were taken out…

Front-end off…

Here’s a better look at the damage that was done…Alot of cracks and chunks missing. Hopefully once it’s fixed it’ll be as good as new…The biggest issue is the carbon lower piece. Most likely won’t be able to keep the complete carbon look anymore and will probably have to be painted once repaired….

Gotta figure out the audio too since this thing used to have a complete audio set-up. Most of the stuff was sold and or moved onto his other car…

Look at the damage done to the fender…yikes. I can’t imagine the feeling watching that shit tear apart like that. Even the sideskirts were damaged because it’s all essentially one piece…

Everything that needs to be fixed has been removed and sent off to the bodyshop for paint and repairs…

While all the body stuff is being taken care of, it’ll give Tony a chance to finally install this ARC oil pan that’s just been sitting in his garage for ages now…

He also just got these mirrors recently…

That’s it for now. Basically just needs to fix little things here and there, umm…get the car running finally haha, battery is probably shot, and of course the bodywork. Stay tuned….

The road to Nisei…Tony’s neglected NSX…Part 1…

Takin a break from the Big Mike rebuild series to give Big Mike a breather and to hit you guys with some other shit that’s going on. For those of you guys that have been keeping up to date with our group (Phaze2xDoods!/HotStuff International), you’ll probably remember our supercharged Sorcery widebody NSX that hit J’s Gathering a couple years back. Well Tony, the owner, ran into a couple problems with it shortly after that event and the car really hasn’t seen the light since then. We attempted to get the car out to Nisei for the past two years now and it just hasn’t happened. Unfortunately, soon after those events occurred, Tony kinda just lost interest and took a break for awhile from the whole car community. With this possibly being the last Nisei and all though, I kinda got on his ass about getting his car up and running again since it’s always been his goal to make it to Nisei. I think I had to remind this guy to register for the show like fuckin 20 times or so before he finally did it and on top of that, he recently took some pics of his NSX to show me what state it’s in and well uhhh….what….the….fuck…..

Jesus….look at this thing. It turned into a fucking closet. R. Kelly is hiding in that shit. If you didn’t know, which I’m pretty sure you didn’t, the reason the car just sits in the garage is because of a mishap with loading the NSX onto a trailer last year the night before Nisei. To make a long story short, it caught a gap in the trailer ramp and basically tore the whole fuckin front end off. The way the kit is, it’s basically all one piece up front so when the front end got caught, it tore the front fenders in half. I’ve never seen this guy so angry in my life, and I don’t blame the guy, so he basically just parked it in the garage and it’s been a closet ever since…

I hate to say it, but he’s had a string of bad luck the last two years and we’re definitely gonna be keeping a close eye on it this year to make sure nothing happens to it. All we wanna do is get this thing safely out to a show for once because when it did show, it took home awards everytime. It would be a waste for it to just be a storage unit and waste away in a garage. Tony added a bunch of new shit to it last year too and it was truly disappointing to see the accident happen to it. Man everytime I look at the pictures I feel kinda sad haha, what fuckin horrible state for an NSX to be in. I don’t want to say that the guy hates his car because it’s not true. It was his dream car and he adored it, just all the terrible mishaps kinda wore him down you know. Hopefully we can get it on track this year…

Dude, is that a torque wrench sitting on top of your carbon fiber wing? Haha…Starting to make it harder and harder for me to defend your ass….You can’t see me but I’m shaking my head right now. This thing was so ridiculous back in the day….supercharged and water cooled, custom one-off exhaust by L-Con, concave CE28s….man….Anyways, from what Tony tells me, he’s pretty excited about getting this thing running again. He’s finally getting back into the swing of things and assures us that it’ll be ready for Nisei Import Showoff with even more goodies….

Really Tony?…An SC400 bumper just sitting on your car and shit…haha…

Big Mike’s build is of course the priority since he’s completely redoing his whole car but I’ll be checking in from time to time with Tony and updating you guys on the progress of his repairs. It’s not gonna be 2343982 parts like Big Mike’s but I’m excited to see this NSX come back to life. From what Tony tells me, it’s gonna be pretty legit. Everyone just cross your fingers and hope and pray that this thing makes it out to Nisei this year. I’m tired of watching stupid random accidental shit happen to this car and preventing it from getting the spotlight it deserves. Stay tuned everybody….

Mugen NSX RR Concept at TAS 2009…

Sorry for the lack of an update the other day, I’ve been pretty busy with my best friend’s wedding and dealing with all the groomsman/best men duties. Like the J’s Racing S2000 debut, this is also one of the biggest Hondas to hit TAS 2009. Not much info on the NSX other than the fact that it’s more than likely Mugen’s celebration of the NSX’s anniversary. Don’t really know if this thing even has an engine inside but the outside is beautiful…

More TAS 09 stuff as I find it….

2010 NSX Cancelled….

_

Holy shit, talk about terrible economic conditions affecting all aspects of life….

Honda CEO Takeo Fukui on Wednesday said his company has been forced to cancel the next-generation Acura NSX sports car due to poor economic conditions. The news came during a speech about the automaker’s revised financial forecast. Plans to bring the Acura brand to Japan have also been shelved permanently, the Nikkei news service has reported.

“The situation is worsening by the day, and there is no prospect for recovery, is our understanding,” Fukui told reporters.

The NSX was a much-anticipated V10-powered sports car in the late stages of development. Designed as a successor to the original model of the same name, the new NSX was slated to be launched as a 2010 model. The project was subject to multiple delays related to the vehicle’s exterior design, but those problems were recently overcome.

Fukui previously characterized the new NSX as “necessary for Honda.”

The company indicated its operating profits will be 180 billion yen ($2 billion), down 67 percent from the forecasted 550 billion yen. There’s even a chance, according to Reuters, the automaker will report a half-year operating loss — for the latter part of 2008. If that happens, it will be the the first time in at least 11 years. Also hurting the income forecast is the yen’s strength against the U.S. dollar, which further compounds the U.S. sales problem.

The debut of the Acura brand — originally U.S.-only — in Japan was originally planned for late 2008, but was recently delayed until 2010. Given the economic downturn, Honda said it decided to cancel the costly program all together.

Honda also announced it will cut production by 314,000 vehicles worldwide for the current fiscal year, according to Bloomberg. It also will eliminate about 1,200 temporary jobs in Japan. -www.leftlanenews.com

Man that’s worst news than that one time when I woke up and  my cat had left a dirty asshole stain on my bedsheets….Damn this sucks. Global economic turmoil is affecting everyone and everything possible. First Honda pulls out of F1 and Subaru pulls out of WRC, now this. Now I’ll never have the opportunity for a 40+ year-old man to pull up to me at a stoplight and rub his opulence in  my face. In all seriousness though I was really looking forward to this car coming out. Maybe someday I guess….

Speaking of bad news, I got hit on at a gas station today while I was buying an energy drink. Not hit on like truck stop bathroom stall kind of hit on, though in many ways eerily similar. I was standing in line and this fat mexican bitch walks up behind me. Mind you I’m only calling her a bitch because I don’t know her real name, but anyways. She starts talking about how cold it is outside and what not and then she goes: “Is that your Land Rover outside?” and gives me this creepy smile.

NSX Dorifto?!

Have you guys ever had a chance to glance at Auto-Otaku’s Flickr page? Man….I can spend hours on there. The guy has some seriously sick photos of events that he attends in Japan. I wish I could take photos like that. I wish I had a camera actually so I didn’t have to borrow other people’s cameras all the time. Actually I have a digital camera but I have the uncontrollable shakes and the pics always come out like I’m running while taking the photo. Like a rolling shot, but the car is still and I’m the one moving. His flickr hasn’t been updated for some time now but I randomly checked it yesterday and caught these images from a recent HPI Drift and Grip event….

…I personally have yet to see a Drift NSX and this is the first one I’ve ever seen. Call drifting what you want or hate all you like, but I love drifting. I notice alot of Honda guys tend to hate on the sport of drifting but that’s probably because they just can’t do it. And the ones that do try end up under a semi-truck or something. I’m a fan of everything related to cars and drifting is definitely something I follow. I’ll admit that once I owned a Honda, I kinda stopped following it as closely. Whenever I get the chance to however, I’ll take a look at coverage or go to an event…

…It’s cool to see an NSX drifting, I just never pictured it. I tried to look up more info on this NSX but I didn’t come up with anything. I honestly didn’t really look that hard because I didn’t want to test fate and see what the terms “Japanese” and “love section” would come up in a google search. I don’t mind looking at gigantic censored blurry blocks and hairy bush but we’re talking about a culture where they have game shows where baby octopus’ and eels are stuffed into snatches for sheer amusement. Trust me, I only need to see it once….

…I notice the “International Allstars” team sticker on there which is a bit weird considering it’s an american car crew/marketing company. Guess they’ve made it overseas. Hopefully the cars over there that they support are more exciting than the ones they have in the states, haha…..

…Upon closer inspection, this actually looks to be a U.K. based car. Maybe it competes in the U.K. drift series or something. I don’t know. I don’t wanna google “English Love Section” either, the internet is a scary place. Feel free to try and let me know though…but you’re on your own if you run into kind of dookie excreting from wherever….

Notice the 02-spec taillights and pre-02 front end. Probably easier to replace the older front-end after riding the wall….

…Wish I had more info on this thing. I’m gonna ask my homie Tony, he owns an NSX….the only difference is his is more broken. And it has a big “Thai” sticker on it. Yup……And he thinks every NSX owner is an asshole. Yeah that Tony….

2010 Acura NSX…

While I was on the Playboy.com website trying to renew my subscription for my dad, I thought to myself…”Hmm I wonder what the 2010 Acura NSX is gonna look like?”….So I got up, went to the kitchen, drank some iced tea, came back, watched the Hills and then played Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix online with Katman for like 4 hours…

…Oh and then I went online and googled “2010 NSX” and came up with these pics. I’m still iffy on the design, as I’m sure many of you are. It’s no longer the mid-engine rear-wheel drive supercar we’re all used to seeing. I love the way the rear looks but the front I’m not too big of a fan of. Looks like the new Toyota Matrix or something. And then it has some concave stock G35 wheels on it to top it off. Ehhh…Overall I guess it’s a cool looking design. I’m not automotive designer so I guess I have no real say in the matter. Trust me I went to Art Center to study automotive design for a semester and it is fucking hard….And you know what? There was girl in that class. And she was not hot. Oh and you know another thing? Despite what people tell you, if you take “asian studies” in college, there’s no hot chicks in those classes either. It’s a myth. Of course, it really doesn’t make sense. Hot asian girls probably already know about asian studies so there would be no reason to take it. I learned the hard way. You heard it here first, from stickydiljoe.com…if you take asian studies courses to stare at hot asian chicks, you do not belong in college….

Here’s a cool see-through rendering of the car. I like the front alot better in this pics because I can’t actually see it. And remember those seats, because in 2 years or so, you will see kids peddling those seats online in the classified section of your favorite forum. And that shit will end up in somebody’s Civic….

I also stumbled onto Jon Sibal’s blog from my own blog roll, and saw his rendering of the 2010 Takata NSX…Seen below this is his beautiful rendering…

Pretty cool huh? I guess he didn’t like the front either and he modified it to his liking. He also included a cool shockwave file of how he rendered the car exactly and each step that it required….

You can see his rendering skills here.

I thought it would be cool to attempt my own rendering so I too did one…..And I am no professional, nor am I any good at anything, but here it is, just because I feel that if you’re already here, you might as well waste some more time….

Who’s is better? I don’t know….I think Jon Sibal has the edge because he went all out and actually colored his and made it professional looking….

You be the judge.

Spoon NSX-R GT crashes in Macau…

I’m sure everyone is aware of the recently completed Spoon NSX-R GT. If not I posted a video and finished pics of it a couple posts back. Well I guess the president of Spoon, Tatsuru Ichishima, took it to Macau for the Windsor Arch Macau Road Sport Challenge and crashed it during qualifying. He managed to qualify 9th overall but lost control during the final corner. No injuries for Ichishima but he’s hopeful to race in the finals if they can get the car back together….

FUBAR much? =P

Spoon NSX-R GT Completed…

I showed you guys the video a week or so (scroll down) of a video I found of the Spoon NSX-R during one of it’s final shakedown runs. Well I was able to find images of the now completed NSX-R GT and wanted to share them with you….Sorry about the quality, but I didn’t take them… =P Have a good one, SEMA is next week!

Here is a shot of it before it was completed and in it’s test phase during the I  Honda event a month or so back…

Here are the first completed shots of it during final shakedown runs…Looks alot better than the original Spoon NSX =P ….

Route KS “Super Madonna 999″

I spotted this thing one night when I was searching for NSX liveries. The initial pic I saw was so damn small that I had no idea what it was. What stood out to me  was the name: “Super Madonna 999″. When I think “Madonna”, the first thing I see is this freakish looking beast woman…

I encountered this mythical, haggard-linebacker-like creature many times in my search for the Madonna NSX and I had almost given up. It wasn’t until I took a closer look at the car did I realize that the yellow two-toned NSX belonged to none other than Route KS.

A quick link to their website revealed many more pics and this NSX is pretty impressive. Turns out that this is one of their new demo vehicles and the name “Super Madonna” is derived from the new “Madonna” aerokit that it’s sporting.

The Super Madonna weighs a mere 999 kg and runs 59 second lap times at Tsukuba. The hood, trunk, doors, and GT wing are all made of dry carbon. I didn’t really see to many specs on the engine but it lists that the 3.2L is tuned on a F-Con V-Pro. Overall a really impressive NSX, wish I knew more about it….

Video – Spoon NSX-R GT at Motegi

I was browsing Dino Dalle Carbonare’s blog the other day and caught a glimpse of a video his buddy made of the recently finished Spoon NSX-R GT….

This thing sounds ridiculous!
