I can’t really call this the Formula D Round 7 coverage because I really didn’t get any coverage of the drifting itself. I didn’t even expect to go to this thing. I had slept like 3 hours the night before and had to wake up early to shoot a car for work and I had no intentions of going to this. I actually went home after the shoot, ate breakfast and even took a nap before I went to this. It worked out that gates opened around 2pm because if it had been any time earlier than that, I wouldn’t have made it. Even so, I still managed to get there 2 hours late but luckily my entrance was taken care of and I didn’t have to wait in line to get into the event. Honestly, I didn’t expect to see such a huge turn-out but the parking lot was pretty much packed to the brim. I guess drifting is starting to make a huge comeback. It’s a good thing that events like Formula D are still around to keep the sport alive since D1 doesn’t seem to want to have anything to do with the U.S. anymore….

Now I mentioned that I didn’t get any drifting pics and that’s mainly because I didn’t really stay long. I just wanted to show up and meet up with some homies and check out what might be the last show of the year. There definitely wasn’t a huge Honda turn-out and there normally isn’t at a drifting event. I don’t blame them, it’s just not their target demographic so the lack of Hondas definitely isn’t a surprise. There were a few though but of course I managed not to get any shots of them. People were all over the place and it was hot as shit, plus I hadn’t really slept much so I wasn’t in the mood to go scour for Hondas at a drifting event. Can you blame me? Anyways, here’s my coverage of the event. There really isn’t much because I left early to go chill and there weren’t too many cars that really caught my eye. This is just random stuff that I caught while I was walking around. If you’re on The Chronicles expecting to see some drifting…man, you are in the WRONG place…haha. Oh believe me, I’m a big fan but this isn’t what the site is about…Anyways, enjoy…
