Birthday Season…

It seems like there’s been more birthdays lately than there have been shows/meets to attend. It’s always good to see everybody though and attempt to talk about other things non-car related. The greatest thing about what we do in this hobby is not the cars but the people that we meet. I’ve met plenty of great people in all my years doing this that I am proud to call my close friends. We really shouldn’t need birthdays just to celebrate our friends but it’s always a good reminder of the people that are important in our lives.

This past week as DPK David’s birthday as well as Keith aka Keychain’s. I hardly ever drink anymore like I used to when I was around Keith’s age so for David’s birthday, I had planned to go on a complete bender at David’s house party and just wreck myself. I devoted the day after to recovery and feeling like absolute shit but it turns out that it was totally unnecessary. I don’t know what it was but I’m pretty sure I drank for a good 5 straight hours, drinking mixed drinks and taking shots, and it just did absolutely nothing to me. I even had Big Mike assigned to be my designated driver but at the end of the night I just drove home because I was completely sober. Oh well, in any case, it was a great time and it was good seeing a lot of people I hadn’t seen in awhile. Even guys like Mike G. showed up to hang out and that dude doesn’t show up to anything anymore, haha. It’s actually a good thing though that I didn’t get wasted because I had a better time just being alert and sober. It worked out anyways because I didn’t really know about Keychain’s birthday until Tony told me about it. It was the next day at noon and I definitely wouldn’t have made it if I was piss drunk. We did the Korean BBQ thing and the food was great. Just good to spend time with friends on their special day and show them that they are important in our lives…

May had the Canon S95 with her so she took care of taking pictures from David’s birthday. If you guys care or want to look at pictures from that night, head on over to her personal blog here…

For Keith’s I really didn’t bring a camera or attempt to get photos because I was too busy eating copious amounts of meat. This Korean BBQ spot called Cham Sut Gul was one of the best KBBQ spots I’d ever eaten at and I’ve been to quite a few. It was a good meal and there was cake provided by one of Keith’s friends so that was cool. His other friend Rocky, was nice enough to get a shot of us with Keith after the meal…

Cool photo, especially since it was the first time David wore a shirt that had a color that wasn’t black, haha…

Happy Birthday to both Keith and DPK David, hope you guys had a good one!!…

Figured you guys would want to see at least one thing related to Hondas so here’s a recent shot of the homie S2kJay’s S2000 from ATL. The car was headed to the IA Spring meet and is looking as good as ever with the addition of a J’s Racing rear wing…This guy is always doing big things and it’s good to see that he’s finally decided to get some Rywire products on there as well…
