Track and Show Japan 2013 Coverage…

“Track and Show” is a new series events for Japan in 2013. The name is a little basic to be perfectly honest but it perfectly describes the intent behind the event. This was their first event of the year and was held at the famed Fuji Speedway. Track and Show consisted of a dedicated car show with your typical classes, but also included some new ones that included a “Loud Exhaust” class and “Grand Slam” ride height competition. Partnered-up with the car show is a time attack battle with open classes that featured a host of different makes and models. You’ll probably recognize some of the cars in the photos, as you’ve seen them once or twice before here on The Chronicles. One of them is Kazuhiro’s E-AT from OsakaJDM and the other is a green coupe from Craft-A. There is also an Integra Type R in there as well but I don’t know if you guys are going to recognize it or not. It was in the Slammed Society Japan coverage from last year but I think there were only one or two shots of it…

Other than that I don’t have too much info on the event itself. I really didn’t even know the event had happened until I noticed that my Japanese contributor Shota Mori had covered it. As always, Mori comes through big for me and provided some really crisp shots. There are a lot of photos included in this set but since it’s a little confusing as it is switching back and forth between race/show stuff, I figured it would be best to just unload all of them on here today. I wish I knew all about every car featured in these photos but I just don’t. I wasn’t actually there but as always, I will try my best to describe what you’re seeing…

Enjoy and if you would like more information on the Track and Show event series (and read fluent Japanese), feel free to check out their event page HERE…

It’s a little rough around the edges but it has an interesting look to it, especially with the aggressive front stagger. The name of the wheels elude me right now but I suspect them to be Work Emotion 11Rs. In the rear are SSR MK2 wheels. Also notice the center-exit exhaust…

… and we’re gonna close-out the coverage here with one more of Kohei Taguchi’s Integra.

Shota mentioned that he would have liked to have covered more of the event but the rain made it difficult so he focused mainly on capturing photos of his friend’s cars. Either way, I appreciated the fact that he took the time to shoot and upload the photos for me. I went through and processed the photos for him so they fit the format of the site, but he’s always been great with the camera. Huge thanks to him and thanks to you guys for looking….
