We’ve been getting a closer look at the two Civic Ferio builds from Tactical Art lately and as promised, today we are going to take a look at the finished products. You guys should be well-acquainted with the fab work involved in getting these cars to their finished states by now but if you haven’t, I’ve attached the links below for both car builds. There isn’t much else that needs to be said that hasn’t been stated already so make sure you catch-up with the links below to see the detailed work that went into these cars. They look relatively simple from an exterior aesthetic standpoint but there is actually a lot more than meets the eye. The build photos show the details and even if you aren’t a fan of the aggressive wheel fitment, I think we can all appreciate the work that was put into these two Civics. As stated before, they are kind of a mix of the traditional Osaka Kanjo style mixed with Americana, as well as current trends in our community. It all comes together nicely and they stand out in their own way. I like what Tactical Art is doing over there and I look forward to seeing the rest of Atuki’s circuit EG6 build, which is unlike these two in that it isn’t meant to be a street cruiser. It is a dedicated weekend track toy and you’ll see exactly what I mean when I begin to detail more of that build this week…

Basic mod list includes: B16B CTR engine, Tactical Art coilovers, Tactical Art custom stainless exhaust, cold-air intake, roll cage. Interior is completely gutted including the rear deck with only one Bride seat installed. Interior has been painted in a custom grey tone and the exterior is a deep candy red. Wheels are CCW Classic…
Not sure what happened with the color-matched valve cover. I can only assume that their was an issue with the paint or something along those lines…
Below is Tomoyuki Sasaki’s Civic Ferio. I believe the motor is also a B16B R motor. Interior is painted in grey as well but the exterior is a sharp orange tone. Everything else is essentially the same as Kawashima’s build in terms of what Atuki and Tactical Art incorporated but Sasaki has a carbon hood and lip. The major difference is his conversion to 99-00 Civic Ferio front end, doors, trunk, and rear bumper. Everything minus the OE quarter panels and roof are 99-00 spec. Wheels are 15-inch CCW LM20…

Clean vehicles, I must hate on the rear camber of the eg however. You can see how little contact patch there is from that night shot. Might as well roll on some spare donuts… To each his own I guess.
I have to say, as much as I can appreciate the immense work that has gone into these, I can’t say that I love the very-‘USDM’ inspired exteriors. By taking that approach it has stripped away much of what I originally enjoyed about Japanese Honda’s. Both cars seem to have a split personality, with lack of flow or theme. Awesome interiors, but with a strange mix of candy colours and the CCW’s. I much prefer the subdued approach of the original EK on Work Meisters, or Atuki’s very obviously focused EG.
I agree with Phantom on the split personalities of both cars, but coming from am opposite point of view. Love the clean exteriors and custom paint, especially on the EG. a breath of fresh air in a sea of grey, white and black cars that all look roughly alike. still like CCW’s albeit with a little less rear camber. And although I appreciate all the insane fabrication work, i’m not a fan of gutted and caged interiors on a street car. again, to each his own.
