Import Alliance Spring Meet 2013 Coverage…From Varying Perspectives…Part 4…

Well, we are finally winding down our week-long coverage of the Import Alliance Spring Meet. You’ve seen photos from two of our guest photograhers, Anderson Rajavong and Dipesh Gohil, and for the final two parts we are going to hand it off to enthusiast Shawn Dees. Admittedly, Shawn isn’t the most experienced photographer and just does it casually for fun, but I think he did a good job of capturing the two events I’m going to show you today and tomorrow. Like Dipesh’s set, he covers both the SOUTHRNFRESH “Welcome To Atlanta” pre-IA meet as well as the actual Import Alliance Spring Meet itself. Since he got a good chunk of photos at each event, I will divide it into two parts. He actually took a lot more but honestly, after three parts that cover a lot of the same cars, I’m worried that you guys may be a little tired of the redundancy. I myself don’t have a problem with it, because it gives me a better opportunity to see some of these cars from different angles, but I can see the more casual viewer growing weary of seeing the same stuff repeatedly…

In any case, I really appreciate Shawn taking so much time to covering his entire trip from start to finish. I think I made a mistake in not using his photos first but I’ll take it as a learning experience for the future. I don’t use that many guest photographers ever but I definitely do like the ones who document their experience in a way in which I would do mine. Thanks to Shawn for everything and I admire his enthusiasm. He’s actually been messaging me on and off on Facebook since the day he sent me the photos because he’s been excited to see them here on the site. I don’t know why but I’m happy to oblige, haha.

Here are the links to the previous three parts. There’s a lot of content so be prepared…

Now, onto the “Welcome to Atlanta” pre-IA meet through the eyes of Shawn Dees…

Something seems wrong in this photo… I can’t quite put my finger on it…but something doesn’t seem right….hmmm…

In Atlanta, you’re likely to run into all kinds of different cars. Like this lifted 4WD Civic Wagon for example…Nothing says “I’m nowhere near California” than a offroad Shuttle…

RX-7 Convertible on gunmetal Volk TE37V…

David Dowdy’s Integra with C-West front bumper…

NA1 NSX with Marga Hills front end…

A variety of different Honda builds were present at the SOUTHRNFRESH meet…

Some, like this coupe, had really clean engine bay set-ups…

Steve Thomsen’s new 4-door Civic project on HRE wheels…

Green/purple two-toned Civic on CCW Classics…

Turbo B-series drag Civic…

Right-hand drive EG Civic with J’s Racing front lip and wing. Nice functional bay set-up also…

Rami Qasem’s S2000 from “Low-Weezy-Ana”…

The Miata that you’ve seen prominently in the previous three parts of our coverage…

Nissan S15 Silvia on one of my favorite wheels of all-time…Advan AVS Model 5…

Dylan Outlaw’s Integra Type R… Those Gram Lights 57ProS wheels are really growing on me. They looked pretty much like concave TE37s…

Another Civic that you’ve seen multiple photos of in our coverage this week…

Black AP1 S2000 on white Work Emotion XD9s…

I guess it just wouldn’t be a meet in the woods if people weren’t doing burn-outs…

KJ Drapeau dropped by to hang out for a bit in his S2000…Looking real good with the Mugen hard top…

Finally we get to see some better shots of this K-turbo CR-X after being teased in the previous posts. Turbo set-up looks pretty beefy with custom-fabbed components from All-In Fab with the help of Vibrant Performance…

Naturally-aspirated K20 Civic on Kosei K1 wheels…

Mike Paz’s Civic coupe, also K=swapped. I posted up this exact photo on Instagram and mentioned that it would benefit from better brake lines and Mike replied and told us that he plans to switch it up soon. His car was previously boosted and the soft lines were used to clear the turbo manifold and he just hadn’t had the chance to redo them yet. Very nice, clean build overall though and I dig it…

I really like the custom valve cover he did and how it is an ode to Hybrid Racing…

This CR-X was also K-swapped and turbocharged. I don’t have a side shot of it in this post but you may remember it from Dipesh’s coverage. It’s a the CR-X on Volk TE37Vs. Very cool build…

Oh, don’t mind me…it’s just time for another fucking burn-out bro!!! Camaro ATL style!! Guy in the background with his hands raised was the only guy excited for this and he later got ran over (okay, no he didn’t)….

Brian Heusinger’s carbon-clad Civic build…

Nice tidy bay…

Fender flares front and back with spike bolts that everyone seems to be raging about…

Huge PCI rear diffuser…

Candy-red Civic from Kindred Impulse with Mugen front lip and other Mugen accessories. K-swapped with Hybrid Racing products and a custom color-shifting valve cover…

Re-barreled and re-finished Mugen M7 wheels…

A couple more of KJ Drapeau’s ASM-themed S2000 and his Prodrive GC-05F wheels…

Civic sedan on some aggressive Work Meister S1…

Seriously, there’s something about this CR-X that just doesn’t seem right….hmmm…I…just…can’t…figure…out….why…

It’s a shame because the engine bay and turbo B-series set-up is actually pretty nice…

You’ve seen plenty shots of this slammed MX-5 Miata by now but this one is definitely one of the better shots of it…

I really liked this NSX on Enkei RP03 wheels. The rears look really nice because of the concavity of it. The exhaust and rear diffuser are also nice subtle tou….

…BRAAAAAHHHPPP…fucking burn-out time!!! Burn-outs and exhibition of speed make car meets so much more exciting BRO…BRAAAAAHHHPPP!!! Fuck you…

Haha, seriously though. What a fucking tool. Thanks for looking, the second half of Shawn Dees’ coverage coming tomorrow…Burn-out free I hope…
