We are back in Japan for Vlog #3 to cover everything that went on during our trip for the 2016 Wekfest Japan event. It might have been just a few months since we left Japan but so much has changed already. The Exceed Japan shop is a bit further along in development and Yasu Shimomukai is working feverishly on new project cars for the Wekfest event. This time around, we stayed exclusively in Osaka, which is much like a second home to me, and spend our time with friends and fellow car people. This Vlog series will cover the entire trip and all the extra curricular stuff we did along the way….

Part 1 is a relatively easy going piece. We arrive in Osaka and get adjusted to life there. Staying in Japan is very different than our regular lives in California so there are certain aspects of every day life that require some getting used to. Yuta Akaishi and myself have been there before, but for this trip, we brought along some new friends and it is always interesting to see how they adjust to the new environment. Angel Torres seems to carry himself with a quiet enthusiasm while Tiffanie Marie not only adjusts to life in Japan, but also having the camera constantly on, which admittedly even for myself, took some getting used to. The big secret for the Wekfest Japan event was that the original Phaze2 DC2 Integra, owned once by Mikey Cristi (HeyMikeyyyy), is now in Osaka as a permanent resident. Yasu purchased the car a couple months ago and we shipped the car via boat container just in time for the Wekfest event. We were a bit worried about the schedule because there was a chance it wasn’t going to make it, but the day before we left ourselves to go to Japan, the car had already arrived in Osaka. Watch as we embark on our journey to Osaka and make sure to come back for much more from Japan.
