Summer is always a busy season for us. The car show season is going strong during this time and these summer months are when most of these shows go on. Sometimes there will be shows back to back even in different parts of California. This Vlog Mini-Series (#7) documents our adventures during July of 2016…
July is always a fun month for us. We have our annual July 4th party at our private headquarters and it is always a great time. We have some of our closest friends over for some food, drinks, and other activities. I usually try to theme the parties as well so for the 2016 Independence Day bash, we came up with an idea to do a “People of Walmart” theme. The concept is to have everyone that come dress as outrageous Walmart customers, like the type you would see on the internet as some of the most bizarre people that you would only see at a place like Walmart. The people that came could dress like pretty much anything as long as it was a little odd but the one condition was that they had to have purchased the gear from Walmart. The hosts, us aka the guys you typically see here on the Vlogs, wanted to switch it up and surprise everyone by dressing as Walmart employees instead. I managed to find a website online that sells Walmart employee clothing (Like legit AUTHENTIC ones too and not just fake costume outfits) to pretty much anyone as long as you created an account and knew the unique store numbers of each Walmart. It’s all stuff that you can typically find online so we were able to buy pretty much anything that a Walmart employee would wear and it was fucking CHEAP. I guess a corporation that big would have to have a site like that available to its employees because it would take too long to have to go through corporate to get the clothing if you need something replaced. Anyways, I don’t want to dive too deeply into it but it was pretty simple. Things got a little out of hand at the BBQ and I think this will be the last one that we will do EVER. People just get too rowdy and it just got way too “lit” as the kids would say and we actually got into quite a bit of trouble for it. I won’t dive into the details but it was definitely an interesting night….
Not too soon after that, the Spocom Anaheim 2016 event took place and we managed to get some media passes for the show. It was Spocom’s 10-year anniversary show so it was a big deal for them. I’ve been going to all the Socal Spocom shows as long as I can remember so I wanted to make sure to be there to experience the show on the celebratory 10th. The show was great and we tried to cover as much of it as possible. I actually had to leave with Tiffanie for a bit to shoot a surprise engagement that Tiffanie got hired to photograph so I handed the video reigns to Der and Yuta. They covered the event while Tiffanie and I went to the beach to shoot. After the event, we still had some time left at Spocom so we went back to hang out with our friends before the show ended. Enjoy…
