The Chronicles Vlog 2016 #8 (Part 3): Auto Enthusiasts Day & Nisei Showoff ’16…

August is not only the hottest month of the year for us, but also possibly the busiest. Wekfest San Jose 2016 had just taken place at the end of July, but not two weeks later, I was already off to the East Coast to attend the Wekfest New Jersey event. This time around, Tiffanie Marie and I were the only ones to make the trip with the Wekfest staff. This Vlog series documents our adventures to NY/NJ for Wekfest, the Nitto Tire Auto Enthusiasts Day back in California, and for the first time ever, we head to Atlanta, Georgia to check out the Gridlife event…

Okay, so I honestly wasn’t sure if I was going to go to Nisei Showoff because last weekend was supposed to be one of those weekends where I didn’t do anything car-related and relaxed before flying out to Atlanta this weekend. Instead, I found myself at both Nisei Showoff and the HKS Speed Ring event (which you guys will see probably in the next Vlog). The weekend before Nisei Showoff, the Nitto Tire “Auto Enthusiasts Day” was taking place and I made sure to attend that particular event because I freelance for Nitto Tire’s “Drivingline” magazine. Many of my friends were also in charge of running the event as well so I wanted to make sure to go out to Anaheim to show my support. It was hot but it’s August and we pretty much just expect it to be hot as fuck everywhere we go. The Auto Enthusiasts Day was a great time but we honestly spent most of our time just hanging out and staying out of the sun. Nisei was fun as well because it was in a new venue that we hadn’t visited before and the show had a really good vibe. I have a lot of respect for Ken Myoshi, who runs the Showoff event series, and always want to be at every event he puts on. The problem is that I am usually out of town around this time so I have been unable to attend the past couple of years. All in all, both events were a good time but there is more footage of us just being our usually selves and the coverage isn’t as car-oriented as some of the others you’ve seen lately. Just think of this as more of a “behind-the-scenes” look at some of the many events that go on throughout the year here in Southern California…

*I am not a videographer and this wasn’t meant to be a visual masterpiece of any sort. I am merely capturing bits and pieces of my life for you guys to see.
