Man, Georgia was hot as fuck. I figured I’d be used to the heat since it’s been pretty hot out here in California but boy was I wrong. Humidity is a real game changer and I don’t think I’ve been in as much heat since I was in Wisconsin last year for Final Bout 2. Anyways, I got a lot of photos to post up here for you guys so let’s jump right back into the Wekfest East 2016 Coverage. After I spent much of the morning shooting the cars outside, I had to begin judging the Honda/Acura classes once the show started at 1 PM. Tiffanie arrived and we walked around for a bit, looking over the cars parked inside the show, and then I handed off the photography reigns to her. She’s been quickly getting acquainted with shooting a ton of car events since she’s always with me so I trusted her to capture most of the great cars in the building that day. I didn’t resume shooting until the end of the day so a big chunk of the photos today and in Part 4 will be all her work. Enjoy the shots. I gotta go grab some dinner and then plant myself in front of the computer again for the rest of the night to edit the photos from Gridlife South, as well as the next Vlog…

This Lexus 2GS caught my eye from a distance because the bright purple finish could only really mean one thing: HKS goodies. Once I walked around and got a good look at the exterior, which featured a Vertex aero kit and custom front/rear flares, I took a detailed look inside the bay…
Under the hood of the GS300 is a shaved engine bay hosting a 2JZ-GTE engine swap complimented by an entire catalog of HKS components. I haven’t seen a 2J this complete with HKS stuff since my boy Billy Shea’s IS300 from back in the day…

One of the builds that I was interested in seeing was this twin-turbo 6-speed manual Accord coupe built by TechnologyR. Crazy to see a almost brand new Accord torn down and built from the ground-up with Mugen front end, front/rear big brakes, custom interior and everything…
Gato Performance went nuts on this engine set-up, which features custom turbo manifolds, twin Precision turbochargers, and a custom metal engine cover all plated in this gold hue to make the entire engine bay pop. I think the current set-up at 17lbs of boost is good for about 650HP with the clutch slipping. Once they get the transmission dialed-in, it should be good for close to 800HP…
Full custom interior of the twin-turbo Accord featuring four racing seats…
I always wanted to build one of these IS300 Sport Cross wagons but they were just too expensive when I was in the market for one. Still, I enjoy seeing them and when this pulled into the New Jersey Exposition Center, I was super excited. You don’t see these modified very often so it is great to see someone really put some effort into making it a solid all-around build…

One of the more unique finds at Wekfest East was this ST204 Celica coupe on Volk Racing RE30s. You rarely ever see these things modded anymore, let alone at a car show and this one looked great. One would think that the owner would go for a full GT-FOUR style conversion and look but he definitely went his own route with this build…
Awesome to see a newer BEAMS 3S-GE motor swap in this Celica…
Nifty center-exit exhaust set-up on the Celica with a custom rear diffuser mounted under…
Acura TSX Wagon converted to appear as a Japanese Honda Accord Euro Wagon bagged on Luxury Abstract wheels…
Custom trunk set-up in the TSX Wagon with dual subs and an Accuair set-up mounted under a false floor with windows…
This white Civic Ferio was pretty unique in many ways, starting with the billet aluminum wheels paired with OEM Honda Access accessories. The headlight covers and front hood protector pieces are pretty rare. Interesting to add the roof rack with the surf board but it all kinda works to the owner’s vision of the car just being a street cruiser from Japan…
That’s all for today. Still more photos to come, thanks for looking!!…
very nice, what an epic set. So refreshing to see the jdm style cars on show.
i really want to like that TT accord, but i just don’t lol
