Holy shit man, I can’t believe we actually crammed all of this car stuff into one full day. After arriving in Tokyo the afternoon before, we head out to do some shop visits. As you saw in Part 1, we stopped by Type One, Seeker, and Skills. Right after Skills, we made the long drive over to Saitama to visit JUN Auto. JUN is a legendary tuning company that I always looked up to so it was quite a surprise when Chiba made plans to take us there. The only downside of visiting JUN around this time was that it was Tokyo Auto Salon set-up day, and most of the cars were already at the show. Still, we walked around the facility to see what was there and some familiar vehicles popped-up. We left JUN soon after and headed over to Roppongi Hills to attend the annual Rauh Welt Begriff Party. RWB throws a meet inside the Hard Rock Cafe parking lot every year on the Thursday before TAS and since we arrived early in Tokyo this year, I was actually able to see everything. Normally, I arrive in Tokyo late Thursday and we only get to see the very end of the meet. I spent about an hour or so in Roppongi taking in all the RWB awesomeness before eventually leaving to Daiba for the Super Street “Tokyo Fresh Meet”.
This meet was pure mayhem. So many cars showed-up that it actually caused quite a stir with the police and Japanese media. The event even ended up on the news because of all the commotion it brought to the Daiba area. I walked outside for a bit and saw cars doing burnouts in the street and even saw some civilians hop out of their cars during traffic to yell at the local police because traffic was so congested. It was crazy. Meanwhile, inside, the meet was going on quite peacefully actually and so I captured some footage of some of the cars parked within.
