Nothing like a fun night out with friends. When I found out that Drew Manley from Cooled Collective was in town and having a terrible time getting lost, I decided to hit him up to see if he wanted to shoot the EK9. The car had been put away for all winter up until that point so it was time to take it out for some late night fun…

I still don’t know if he actually took any photos of the car or he was just trying to hang out, so I went ahead and took some of my own before we met up that evening. We stopped by Nippombashi and it was a spot I always wanted a photo of with the car. It’s like the Akihabara of Osaka and is lit up pretty well at night. We rarely ever take the Civic downtown so it was a good opportunity to capture it…

Once the shoot was done we all gathered up and moved over to Amerikamura where car people often congregate for car activities. It somehow ended up being a car meet type of deal and all kinds of interesting stuff cruised by…

Also did I mention that @cbc_ikegami brought his Orthia wagon out with an EK face on it? The thing looks pretty rad, lol. It’s like an EK Shooting Brake or not really, it’s more just a Civic wagon…

I actually made a whole episode of this night and the days leading up to it. Before we even made it to Osaka we stopped by Gunma to hang out with our friends from @moontech and also stopped by ASM Yokohama to pick up some goodies for the S2000. The episode went up last night so a bunch of people are already way ahead of you if you haven’t watched it. It’s a fun episode that gives you a first-person POV of what car life is like in Kansai…
