Wrapping up the season at the biggest car show in Los Angeles…

November 17, 2024 0 comments

It’s been a pretty big year for us when it comes to car shows but it was time to close out the car show season in Los Angeles for the annual Wekfest event. Since this is one of our biggest shows and one happening in our hometown, we wanted to do something major by having a big display for Battlecraft, Exceed, and The Chronicles. Our brand new Voltex GR86 Street Version II was set to make its first public appearance at this show so we created a full floor display for it so the car could sit center stage. Our actual wheels were still on a boat somewhere in the Pacific Ocean so we decided to present the car on a brand new set of dead stock bronze Volk CE28N wheels. In our heads, we knew this would look good but still ended-up shocked when we finally saw the wheels on the car for the first time. After our excitement calmed we loaded the car up onto the trailer and were off the next morning to the Los Angeles Convention Center…

Wekfest Seattle 2021 Coverage… Part 2…

I was really trying to get this post up before I left for SEMA so I could just press the “Publish” button while I was in Vegas but I just simply ran out of time. The night before I left, I actually didn’t even get a chance to sleep. There was so much going on over the weekend that I didn’t even pack my suitcase until 4AM Tuesday morning—and my flight was at 9AM, lol. It’s been a crazy month, I swear. It went from being a 2-year layoff to everything happening all at once. Two Wekfest events, Japanese Classic Car Show, SEMA, all in the span of about four weeks time! And next month I have another Wekfest event in San Jose plus Super Lap Battle…

Wekfest Seattle 2021 Coverage… Part 1…

It feels so good to be back on the road again. With all that has happened the last two years, I couldn’t have been happier to hop back onto a plane to go see some new things in another city. To be honest, it almost felt normal. Getting to the airport and feeling that intensity from the hustle of everyone on the move felt a little intimidating at first, but then that old familiarity came back. I was busy again, but like, a satisfying busy. Where you lay your head on your pillow at night and you feel accomplished. Boy did I need that…

Back On The Road For Wekfest Seattle!!… CHRNCLS Vlog 2021 #20

Boy does it feel good to be back on the road again! It seems like forever ago since we’ve traveled for Wekfest but the show series is back now to close-out 2021. This was an interesting one because we go back-to-back for Seattle and Los Angeles for the first-time. We made sure to find some time to relax and just hang-out however, before the madness begins. Like my other visits to the Pacific Northwest, I make a traditional visit over to my friend Terry’s house where they were prepping their cars for the show. There’s plenty to see in this one, enjoy!

Positive momentum. That’s what we’re in the midst of right now. We’ve only had three Wekfest events up in Seattle thus far and we’re on an upward trajectory. I was having dinner with Ken from Wekfest earlier tonight and I was telling him about how the excitement for this tour […]

Wekfest Seattle 2019 Coverage… Part 2…

Before I started putting this post together, I went and took a trip down memory lane, pulling-up some of my older posts back when I first started traveling to the Pacific Northwest. Those were very different times. Back in 2013, I was knee-deep in magazine print work, often looking for […]

Wekfest Seattle 2019 Coverage… Part 1…

I wanted a slightly different approach this year covering the Seattle Wekfest event. The previous two shows had been pretty amazing content-wise but I always remember the roll-out being so much more memorable than the set-up phase of the show. Perhaps that has more to do with the stress of […]
