Currently indisposed…
Sorry guys, don’t got anything for you today. I’ve been busy moving all weekend right after the Thanksgiving holiday and things are pretty hectic over here. I won’t even have my internet set-up at my new place yet until Wednesday afternoon but I’ll try to get stuff up when I can. Currently this is my set-up at my old place because the internet and cable are still up…

Yes, I normally do have a table and yes, currently my shit is on top of a box. Pretty sweet right?…Ahhh so much to do. I seriously hate moving…I’m dead tired, time for some rest…I don’t even have my bed right now since I’m still at the old place and I’m sleeping on the floor tonight…I’ll be back soon.
For those of you who are wondering about your stickers, they should be arriving shortly. I was gone for SEMA for a while and with the holidays and all, I haven’t had a chance to push them out as quickly as usual. And now with the moving and all, it’s not helping either but it’ll be there. Trust it. I’m out.
JTuned/Formula D Pro-Am Coverage…
Time to get back into the swing of things…I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving and had a great time. Mine was cool, just ate with family and watched everyone play Wii Fit and shit like that. Always good to hang out with family, especially when you get older and don’t have as much time to be around one another. Can’t say I really do much other than that. I would have updated but the computer at my parents house is awful. When you type the computer is so slow that there’s actually a delay when you type…imagine how annoying that would be…
Anyway, these are pics from the JTuned/Formula D event last weekend. As you saw from the post with Billy’s IS and JDMEGO Jay’s Evo, I showed up a little too late and the majority of the cars were gone already. There were probably about 20 cars or so left over so I basically went just to talk to the homies and snapped some pics and took off. There were some interesting cars out that day though. I even got to meet John Peterson, the guy who runs the Mayday Garage blog all the way from Texas. Really cool guy. I guess he was in town to support his friends who were competing in the Formula D Pro Am. When he found out I was the one who writes up The Chronicles, he seemed a little surprised…Shit, I didn’t even know people knew about this spot out in Texas so if anything I was the one that was surprised. Pretty cool that people from all the way out there recognize this site. Alright, time for pics…

Of course everybody knows Billy’s IS by now…He even ran at Battle of the Imports the next day. Everyone thinks this car is a dyno queen but it’s not, it’s actually fully functional…

This old school Cressida was cool as shit…I love builds like this. Totally unique with it’s own sense of style…

I’ve been seeing alot of this Civic this whole year now and it sure has come a long way. I’m not a big fan of the wheels (for obvious reasons) and he’s got a lot of random things going on, but all in all, it’s coming together slowly but surely. I hope he cleans it up more because the car has a lot of potential…

…he started out with a supercharged d-series to now having a N/A b-series. Even has a Bisimoto header on it…

The catch can as a coolant resevoir is a nice touch as well…

Karen’s Evo with all the Voltex gear, Advans, Endless Brakes, and T1R lugs….$$$…Love it…

This RX-7 is one of the quietest rotories I’ve ever heard…damn thing purred like a kitten…

I didn’t get a shot of the whole car cuz it wasn’t much to look at but the valve cover and intake pipe are kinda interesting…I don’t know, just kinda screams for attention, and not necessarily the good kind. Looks like dry-wall primer or spackle paint or some shit…either way, looks like a brick of Spam after you’ve left it out too long and it dries up…ehhh…

Your eyes don’t deceive you, that tire really is thin as fuck. Like pubic hair thin. Like if you hit a pothole the fuckin tire wouldn’t blow out cuz it’s so thin that it’s basically a rubber wrap…I can go on if you want…haha…

15 series!! So thin that if you drove over a reflector on the road your ass might fly outta the fuckin car…

Another nice Cressida at the event….Don’t quote me but that might be a Mark II front end…I’ve been away from Toyotas for a minute now so I’m not too up to date on my info. Speedhunters actually has a feature on this car right now so make sure you check it out here….

This is the car that actually ended up winning the whole comp that day. I gotta say, it might be the first time I’ve seen a 4-door R32 in person. Always loved R32s…another car I’ll never own…haha. If it were up to me though I’d drive a 4-door R33 all day. When I say “all day” I mean I’d buy it and put it in my garage and never drive it, because when I bought my Q45 I told myself I’d drive that shit “all day” too and now look at it….

I leave you with some more pics of one of the coolest cars there…Thanks for looking, I’ll try to update accordingly, I actually have to move to a new place this weekend so it might get kinda hectic…

Peace.
Happy Turkey Day!…
Everyone be safe and eat well…thanks for all the generic text messages you send to everybody, it means alot, haha….Anyways, back tomorrow with the daily grind…
Never been a fan of white meat…but I guess we can make exceptions…

SEMA 2009 Coverage…Part 8…The last of it…

Ah finally, we are at the end of the SEMA coverage. What a trip it was….got to see alot of homies, ate like there was no tomorrow, won some money, spent some money, and of course, saw some car shit…This last batch is pretty much just random pics and stuff you might have seen before but at better angles. The amount of people died down at the show towards the last couple days and it made picture taking a lot easier…

Still one of my favorites at the show, I recently saw pics of this at Super Lap Battle and it did very well…

I was showing this Scion to some other friends that had come later who hadn’t been inside SEMA yet that week. Just in terms of pure ingenuity, the Scion booth is definitely a landmark at the SEMA show…

Also had to take another look at the VIP Legacy. I don’t know what happened but they took the two Fusas they had hanging on the mirror down and kept the hood closed that day…Hopefully nobody stole that shit…

Damn…

The infamous Ken Block Gymkhana Subaru…

This is an interesting look…I mean, it doesn’t look bad, but it almost looks like it’s a rear bumper installed on the front…

This Focus was really nice. All caged up on Work XD9s and everything…Finally was able to get a clean shot of it since the Ford area was so packed all week…

Here is the Flex that Autofashion built with the custom Falken bandana print interior…

Ryan from Eibach aka Vtecvoodoo was busy being a businessman all week…

One more shot of the Bomex Camaro…I like how they jacked the idea of the exhaust outlet from the new Lexus LF-A…

Lisa Kubo’s new Integra…

Greddy Peter North nutshot Genesis…

Best of show…

Enkei did Rota one better and decided to do custom colors before they ran off with their designs…

Speaking of wheels, these are probably the ugliest wheels I’ve ever seen…Good job Forgiato…

This of course is the LF-A that everyone was talking about all week. I didn’t even know it was there until I accidently walked outside and saw the Lexus area. They got a pretty shitty spot I might add. There were no signs or anything and you would only see it if you were trying to go outside to smoke or something…

A trio of IS convertibles…

David Huang’s IS300…

That’s about it…We spent the rest of our trip eating at The Earl of Sandwich inside Planet Hollywood…best sandwiches ever…Other than that, we had a couple drinks here and there and just chilled…

Rudy Falcon and Rywire came by our room to shoot the shit for a little bit as well. Not really sure what was going on here, haha…

Somebody called out Ryan and emailed Super Street claiming that Rywire was “Lywire” and rocking Rotas and claiming them to be real Mugen wheels. Rywire just wants to clarify that he put on the Rota centercaps as a joke and even though he really does have Mugen wheels, he’s a big supporter of Rotas. That’s also not a thumb in the picture, I photoshopped it to look that way, use your imagination guy who emailed Super Street…

Here’s Rudy walking into the room where his intervention was taking place…stop doing drugs you ass!…
That’s all folks, back to normal daily duties tomorrow…
Oh man I miss this…

Oh Prelude skate ramp, how I missed you so…haha…Man I kinda miss making dumb shit like this now that I actually have stuff to show you guys and pics and what not…Anyway, just thought I’d throw that up again for old times sake…Got more SEMA shit for you guys in a couple hours…
Quick hits…

So I went over to the JTuned Formula D Pro-Am event on Saturday to go check it out and hang out with some of my homies, but I had prior engagements so of course I showed up late. I got there with like about 2 hours left until it was over and a majority of the cars had left already. It was actually a meet but they donated the proceeds from the event to cancer research. Good to see that our industry is trying to give back and support good causes. They also had the Formula D Pro-Am where amateur drifters competed for an opportunity to participate in next year’s Formula D comp. They were probably a little over 15 cars left over and I got pics of that stuff, but I also had the chance to take some pics of my boy Billy’s IS300 as well as Karen’s EVO. If you’re not familiar with the Evo, it’s the one that was dominating the show scene for the last couple of years. Karen and Jay from JDMEGO built this thing and it recently got some new wheels and Jay asked me to take some updated pictures of it. It’s rare to see Jay come out to anything because he’s usually bumming it at home or incredibly busy, and it’s even rarer to see the EVO driven andywhere so it was definitely cool to be able to get some picture of it. You know the routine, most of the pics have links to click to enlarge and what not. I’ll be back with more coverage from the actual event once I go through the pics as well as continued SEMA coverage…

Did you see the $500 T1R lugs…gotdamn, haha…back with more stuff tomorrow…Oh and make sure to check out JDMEGO’s new blog since it’s moved over to the Fatlace network….The guy’s been blogging forever now and now he’s got a whole new layout and everything…
SEMA 2009 Coverage…Part 7…
Are we still doing this stuff?…

I love IS250/350s, just the style of them and how they sit when they’re lowered…Definitely one of the cars I plan to own in my lifetime. I actually want an IS-F and at the rate I’m going, hmm, I think I should be able to afford one in let’s say….10 years from now? I also like Weds Kranze wheels so whoever owns this car, good job…

This guy is awfully happy to be photographed next to this S14…maybe he’s the owner, who knows…

There’s so much sunlight in this picture that I’m pretty sure it would fuck a vampire up…I’m just sayin…

Interesting matte blue S2000…never seen it before so I’m wondering if it’s from California. I’m also wondering why the bay is silver still and if the matte blue is a wrap or not…Okay I’m done wondering…

This bB belongs to Dan from BBsquad. He used to have a white one that was really nice as well but he crashed it and now he’s building up this one…Mikey was explaining to me everything that was on it but it’s been awhile so I think I forgot, but the whole front end is JDM stuff like the lights, grille, etc….

I really like the new Genesis, because it’s one of the first times Hyundai took something and made it look nice…

Here’s the Camaro I talked about a couple posts back that came all the way from Japan. Pretty badass right? It even has Work LS wheels on it…

Super clean…when I was in Japan a couple years ago I also saw a couple lowriders and other domestics that were imported that they modified and made look absolutely amazing. Really shows their ability to build anything, Japanese or not…These guys who owned the Camaro didn’t even speak english, they had to have someone translate for them when people approached them to ask them questions…

Look at that center exit exhaust…

Even had their own poster…

This probably belonged in the SEMA post before but this is the bay of that black S2000…

Man I kept going back to this car over and over again pretty much everyday that I was there…such amazing craftsmanship and ingeniuity…

Seriously, where would you ever see anything else like this if you were involved in the import scene. That’s why it’s cool to go to SEMA because you get to see both sides of the spectrum….
Moving on…here’s a bunch of BMWs…

Asuka widebody…

This thing is badass…
So after I finished walking around that day, we went to go hang out with the BBsquad guys again because I had to shoot one of the Scions for a magazine. I pretty much just spent the rest of the night hanging out with them while we waited for Tina, May, and Ojay to show up later that night…

We met up with everyone and then we headed over to the new M hotel to eat dinner too. That buffet is the business…oh man, probably right up there with the Wynn buffet with alot cheaper…I ate so much that day I think I almost threw up while eating…yeah, it’s possible…

After dinner is when we went off to go shoot…There’s actually alot of nice areas to shoot off the strip in Vegas because it’s such a huge empty place…

Here’s a sample of the xB I shot… Really clean simple car built by Gene from BBsquad. He’s on air and just rides dumped all day, it’s awesome, dude doesn’t even care…
After I finished up with that, we just hung out in some empty parking structure and took random pics….One of the Squad guys was doing the majority of the shooting but I had the camera on me so I took some as well. They’re not very good but they never are anyway…

That’s it for today….back with more SEMA coverage over the weekend…
Battle Prep…
Now for a break from the SEMA 2009 coverage…
So last Monday, I headed over to Sportcar Motion to drop off some stickers I had cut for Loi and decided to bring the camera along to show you guys what he was doing. He and his crew were actually getting ready for Super Lap Battle that Wednesday as well as Redline Time Attack. He had just picked up the EG from Robispec a couple weeks back and was hard at work on it to try to get it ready to run at SLB. The hatch had seen some major changes since the last time you all saw it and it’s definitely gonna be a force once everything is dialed in. Those of you on NWP have probably followed his thread and seen what had been done lately and those of you who haven’t, I’ll leave a link at the bottom for you all. These pics are just of them getting the car ready and what not, nothing special, but it’ll give you guys a good idea of what’s going on down there…

New reinforcement bar welded to the chassis as well as the new oil cooler set-up…

949 wheels…

Wilwood brakes…

New front splitter and canard set-up…no more wood haha…

Installing the sideskirts…

Loi and I putting on the new Sportcar logos on his car…

No dash, all gutted…

Accu-sump…

Cage by Robispec…

Battery shut-off…

Random shot of the new Autopower cage for his other Civic that will be running street class…

New mirrors for the DC2R…

Loi loves his stickers, haha…

…including this gigantic NWP sticker…shit took like 2 hours to put on…

Shameless plug…
That’s about it…this is how it looked at SLB…

I’ll prob post the rest of these pics up that Loi took later on after the SEMA coverage, who knows…alot of nice cars out there like the Sierra Sierra Evo and what not…

Unfortunately during practice runs they had a little mishap and spun out at 120mph. Luckily no real serious damage to the body…Loi and the crew are already back to work on it and getting it ready for next year…Once this car is dialed in, oh man…should be quite a sight to see…

Thanks for looking, back tomorrow with more SEMA coverage…yes, even more…
SEMA 2009 Coverage…Part 6…
Words – Joey Lee/ Photos – May Miranda & Joey Lee
Need I say more?…

Probably one of the most talked about cars of SEMA was this all carbon Zonda R…

Ridiculous…

370Z sitting in the Falken booth…

…along with this Porsche…

Alot of people are iffy on the new Porsche Panama but I really like it. Sure the idea of a 4-door Porsche seems a little weird but hey, can’t blame them for trying. I think it’s executed really well….I’d rock it, especially on some HREs…hah…but then again I’ll never own one, so wishful thinking…

After we finished up at the wheel section, we headed back outside to look at the cars out there before taking off…

Jimmy’s Previa of course…

Another shot of his homie’s coupe…

A couple of S2000s…

White guy picking his nose…

This G37 belongs to JR from High End/Auto Concept. He passed away a couple months ago and this is the first time his car has been out since, especially with the new paint. Such a shame that a great car builder and human being had to go before his time…His car as well as his memory will be immortalized in the new Gran Turismo game so look out for that….RIP…

The graphics for this car was actually designed by someone in Forza 2….the owner held a contest to determine the final design for his car on the Forza forums and in-game copies of the car was even distributed to gamers all over the world…pretty cool stuff…

Those three guys are probably staring at it thinking, “what the heck is happening right here?”…haha…

Airbrushed vent on the fender…interesting…

Kia Euro Civic Type R, haha…

C6 Corvette GTR…

My boy Billy’s supercharged M3…

Ronzilla’s bB…

Suzuki Kizashi?…Imagine if you owned one of these things. Someone would ask you “what kinda car you drive?” and you say…”I drive a Kizashi”…hmm…not a good look. Car is pretty cool looking though, name…eh, sounds like a name for a character from Killer Instinct, haha…

I’m trying some new effects with photography…it’s called “put as many huge gigantic shadows as possible in ur pictures and even get a shadow of yourself in the car that you’re taking a picture of”….

That’s all for today…might switch it up tomorrow and take a break from SEMA stuff and put up some other shit, just to switch it up you know…we’ll see…
SEMA 2009 Coverage…Part 5…
Damn, and we’re only a little over halfway through the pics…

So we last left off at the Honda section. Though the size of it was pretty substantial, they really didn’t have too many cars on display there other than some newer models with HFP stuff on it. Towards the back of the wall was where the good stuff was…

…including this original Mugen 1st gen. CR-X…This is the one that sits in their museum and it has 11k original miles on it. I took a picture of it but as you all know, I have the uncontrollable shakes and of course it didn’t come out clear enough for you guys to be able to see it…

…this Civic was pretty cool too. Looks like it’s frozen in time…

…and of course you gotta have the Honda N360s. These are always a delight…as you can tell from the two dudes in the background, they’re having the typical conversation most people do when they see these cars…
Guy 1 – “Oh man, this is so tiny…can you imagine driving one of these things?…” *creepy chuckle*
Guy 2 – “Yeah I know right!”
Guy 1 – “….”
Guy 2 – “…..”
Guy 1 – “…so..umm..yeah, that’s…uh…small…”
Guy 2 – “…yeah…”

Next to the Honda area was the ENEOS booth. They had a nice group of cars there and models that didn’t look like old shoes and they also were giving out a bunch of free stuff…

They had this kitted out Honda Insight with Rays Eco-Drive wheels. Not really sure what kit it was. I tried googling it but I didn’t find anything, probably because I kept typing in “Prius bodykit”…

Ahh, with all the drama going on lately with Ross’s xB getting keyed, I’m sure alot of Scion people don’t really like me right now, but oh well…it didn’t stop whoever owned this car from putting the world’s smallest intercooler into the largest vents on a front bumper EVER…Kinda looks like those still pictures of people’s faces when they’re going at high speeds, you know, when their faces are all stretched out? Like when their mouth’s are open at high speeds…I attempted to find a pic for you guys to show you but when I typed in “high speed facial”, I got undesired results…

hmmm…

I don’t know if the owner or one of the head guys at ENEOS owns this ASI Ferrari but when they ran out of free stuff to hand out, one of the guys grabbed a new box and pulled the Ferrari key out and used it to open the box. That’s when you know you’re ballin’ out of control. When your Ferrari key is a box opener…

I love 370Zs, so much so that the Chronicles was originally supposed to be about 370zs and not Hondas…okay not really, but I do like them alot. This one with the Zele kit is definitely one of the best looking ones around. You might as well call it the Joey kit, cuz it’s good looking, get it? Haha…stupid…

Uhhh… I don’t know who owns this but I’m willing to bet that he owns some guns, so I’ll reserve my opinion for myself. No I’m not saying he’s got guns cuz he might be black, but because the owner is from Indiana and their gun laws are pretty lenient over there. Come on, they tried to rob Reggie Miller one time…REGGIE MILLER. The guy was the only relevant sports figure to ever play basketball there besides Larry Bird, and that motherfucker probably never even seen a gun in his whole life. No, and it’s not cuz he’s white…it’s cuz he’s LARRY BIRD. He can probably kill you with a fucking basketball…Shoot a free throw at your neck and your head would explode…

I didn’t even know Razo was still around…I remember everybody used to have their stuff on their cars. I always wanted their automatic shift knobs but I didn’t really want to spend like $200 to make my shifter look like a robot foot…

I don’t know where I read it but I think this is the World’s Fastest GTR…Damn, can’t remember where I saw it… I think it also ran a 10.48@134.30…Don’t quote me on that though…

I wrote a feature for this car for Super Street…I think it should be on newstands soon…Definitely in interesting take on widebodies. Not my taste, but hey, keep doing your thing. The owner is a military guy and he defends our asses everyday and makes sure we can have the freedom to say whatever we want…

I heard somewhere that this was the world’s only 4-rotor RX-8…again, not really sure where I saw it but I’m pretty sure that’s what it is…

Love AMS, they build the sickest EVO shit in the country, hands down…

Nilo’s xB…Ross calls him “The Godfather of Scions”. Super nice guy…he’s getting a kidney transplant this week too so best wishes to him and his recovery…The car is wrapped all the way around and even the brushed aluminum sections are wrapped as well. If you touch it, it even feels like real brushed aluminum…

Oh here’s that artist I was telling you about who was drawing the graphic on the Genesis sedan…I’ll have a picture of the finished product later on cuz I came back one more day and it was finished…
So next I wandered off into the last building, which was the wheel and tire section. This is where all the big companies like Falken and HRE were at…

Sutong China Tire company was there. I have never heard of them before…but just look at that bear’s face. You can totally trust that your family is in good hands with good ol’ Sutong bear! Look at his face, dude doesn’t even look like he’s paying attention..haha…and his hand is fucked up.

Uh…

Finally, the holy grail of wheels…ROTA. When you walk into their booth, you just get the full ambience of the filipino spirit. I don’t know if it’s the aunties that are working the booth, or the gorgeous wheel designs, none of which they created on their own…but man, you really get the full Rota experience. Ohh they were giving out Rota baseball caps too so you know we had to cop some of those…

Rota makes dreams come true. Now you can have all your favorite wheels of all time in pink, purple, yellow, pink, or pink…

It’s ROTACAL!!!…
That’s it for today…funny story before I go though, after I stopped by the Rota booth (the people were super nice by the way), I walked over to the Sportmax/XXR booth with their selection of fake wheels. They have come up with this new genius idea to just pretty much make every fucking wheel possible have a concave face on it…anyways, I tried to snap some pictures and some guy like ran up to me in a stern voice and was like “No pictures sir, our boss says no pictures.” Haha, wow….I’m pretty sure he didn’t know who I was so that can’t be the reason, but I guess he didn’t want me to take pictures because he didn’t want people to steal their designs…oh the irony…
Back tomorrow with more stuff…
SEMA 2009 Coverage…Part4…
Back to the daily grind… I think I might be the only guy out there still doing SEMA coverage haha, oh well, better late than never…

I didn’t even notice this was the new TSX until after I took the picture. Wonder if this thing is quick or not cuz they newer TSXs are incredibly bulky looking…

This was at the booth of some company that produces “Chrome paint”…Alot of interesting stuff in there, especially this bike. Even has a chrome seat. Even though it’s a tiger and tiger’s are usually pretty manly, this bike…hmm…not so manly. A little fruity actually. Like something that would be apart of a Vegas show, not one of those shows but one of those shows…haha…

Here’s the Tjin Edition Camaro that was at the Air Lift booth. Alot of similar styling ques to their previous cars but that’s just their style. Very unique to themselves and not too many guys out there can build cars like these guys can….

This Transformers looking thing is actually the Bomex Camaro….yes, BOMEX CAMARO. They used to have a robot alligator graphic on the side of their cars, now they make cars that look like robot alligators…we’ve come full circle people, we really have…

Razzi kit, not bad looking, considering some of the stuff they’ve done in the past…

This thing is pretty sick…Cadillac hot rod…

This is the Genesis I’ve been talking about in the previous post…Mid engine, Rhys Millen built Genesis…fucking crazy stuff…

4-door Genesis… The graphics are actually hand painted on by a woman that was there. I have a pic of her as I was coming back of her painting the other side, pretty cool…

Greddy Genesis is not too shabby either…

Mikeyyyy doin business…

Lisa Kubo’s new Integra….

Finally got to the Honda area..they were in the corner and had a pretty big display set-up…

Does anyone remember this Civic? Man, it must have been a good 8-9 years since I’ve seen this thing. If I remember correctly, this thing was built by Super Street for one of the Civic competitions between all the magazines…They turned the car into a die cast toy and everything… Oh and special appearance by Rudy Falcon in the background…haha…

Mugen stuff on display…

More to come over the weekend…plenty more actually…
The Final Word…
Alright, I really gotta get back to putting the rest of the SEMA pics up so this is the last time I’m gonna speak on the issue. What’s said is said and the facts have been put out there before you. What happens in the future with both parties has yet to be determined. I must say to everyone that has followed the previous days post: PLEASE DO NOT RETALIATE ON ROSS’ BEHALF. As in, DO NOT ATTEMPT TO VANDALIZE THEIR CARS IF YOU SEE THEM. The last thing we need is some vigilante going around keying cars with revenge in mind. That’s not what we do, and that’s not our style. We’re all adults and we know better than to vandalize another man’s car out of anger or revenge. We know better than to bring our foul-mouthed mothers around to verbally assault people. So if you’re walking around with your mom and you run into these individuals, tell her to keep walking, haha. Again, don’t do anything stupid that will get you in trouble or get me or Ross in trouble. Don’t go chasing after them with molatov cocktails or something and go “THIS IS FOR MIDNIGHT GARAGE” and start torching shit, again, that is not our style. We merely stated what happened so that the public knows what really went down and how things got to this point. It was Martin’s intention to go on the internet and “ruin” Ross’s reputation and to put him out of business. Some friend right? Judging from people’s comments who have actually encountered the guy or know him, it almost doesn’t even seem like a surprise. It’s sad that it had to come to this but things happen for a reason I guess…
Seriously, with friends like these, who really needs enemies? Shit…
Now onto the next issue…Someone posted a comment that I was being one-sided and not posting (her) comments. I’m not being one-sided at all. If you want to state an argument or a point, I’m giving you every opportunity to do so. If I was being one-sided, then everyone wouldn’t have seen Martin’s comments. Even he posted on here and was given an opportunity to respond. I don’t care if you state your case, but be man enough to state who you are. Don’t hide behind a fake user name and say a bunch of stuff and expect people to believe you. Like Jimmy said in the comments section, I have no reason to lie, it’s not beneficial to me either way whose right and whose wrong in this situation. Your points aren’t valid if you say it in hiding, you know? I figured out who you are though…it doesn’t really help your cause to post as “anonymous” and then post your real email address. Plus when you post, it also logs your IP, which also shows who you are, so again….yah, kinda already figured out who you are. It is rather sad however, that you decided to post what you did as “anonymous”, slandered Ross and his business practices, and then go to Ross and tell him that you were inpartial and keeping your opinion to yourself. That’s playing both sides kiddo….
I honestly feel sorry for the two of them. I hope they get their shit together and figure things out without having to cause harm to others. I can understand how some would see what has occurred as being “harsh”…I get it, but we can’t take threats lightly, especially when it comes to business. This puts food on the table for Ross, a place to eat and sleep for him and his significant other. These two threatened to RUIN their own friend, a person they supposedly looked up to for help. Their friend continues to tell Ross that “they wouldn’t do something like that, they’re not that type of people”….Yeah, well that’s what WE thought too! Benefit of the doubt is eliminated when you threaten people and verbally assault them. I’m all for being diplomatic and letting two parties work their issues out…but diplomacy is thrown out the window when you put your hands on someone else’s property and invade their personal space.
Oh one more thing….there was also another “anonymous” poster (MLK) who said: “OK really you started this post off with a MLK quote when Ross put TNB (Typical Ni–er Behavior) on blast about this whole thing on facebook.”
Uhh…TNB means “Trust No Bitch”…I honestly have never heard of “Typical Ni–er Behavior” until you brought it up, anonymous user. I don’t even know when you would use that.

Thanks for your random opinion though…you can have your race card back now…yikes…
Anyways, like Kimbo Slice said, it’s “done-dada”….shit is over with. Let the law handle it if it comes down to it…let’s get back to what we’re all here for….the cars.
More SEMA coverage later today….Enough drama for the week. That’s why I don’t fuck with (enter car brand here) people…Honda guys, they don’t do so much scheming, they just talk shit to eachother on Honda-Tech and call it a day….haha.
Do you understand the consequences of your actions?…
“…The ultimate measure of man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy…”
- Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
I was gonna go ahead and post up some more SEMA coverage for you guys, and what I’m gonna tell you is SEMA-related…but let’s take some time to air out some dirty laundry shall we? Now let me begin by saying that I’ve known Ross for quite awhile now…The guy is a stand-up dude. I don’t really keep large amount of people around me because I’ve been burned in the past and I like to keep my network of friends small. Within that group, Ross is definitely one of the guys in my tight circle of friends. The guy is a self-made business man. Came from nothing and runs a business on his own and does all his own work. He doesn’t take short-cuts and he doesn’t screw people over. It’s not in his nature to do so. The man will stay up for days just to complete a project because that’s the type of guy he is. When I say that he’s a homie, I trust him and I back his business venture. I’m sure you guys have heard me mention Midnight Garage more than once. We worked together to throw his grand opening and it was great. From time to time I’ll try to help him out and give him advice. One of the things I tell him all the time, is to weed out all these extra motherfuckers around him. Sometimes you can tell when their are people around who are of no value. They’re leechers. They cling to you and take everything you have. These people are suspect. What I’ve noticed from hanging out with Ross is that he tends to have some people around him that are these types of people. I don’t own a Scion. I honestly don’t give two shits about them unless my friends own them. I mean like the cars and the things done to them, but the community as a whole, ehhh, I just don’t relate. There are alot of younger cats in there that are these leechers that I speak of. I won’t name names but I noticed this from hanging around at Ross’s shop that there are some people that that just aren’t any good for him. “Weed these people out” I’d tell him….
Two of these individuals, I will name…One is a guy by the name of Martin Trujillo and his girlfriend; Melissa March…Now I name these two because they fucked up. And today, the world will know who they are. When I first met these two, I didn’t give a shit about them. Honestly, I have enough people in my life, plus the guy came off kind of a douche because he constantly made fun of one of the other Scion guys because he swore the guy was gay and was gonna expose him. Whatever. Over time, from hanging out at the shop, I got to know these individuals. At first, homeboy came off better than thou like his shit didn’t stink, but once he found out what I did for a living, he magically became nicer to me. Funny how that works right? Anyways, all good, if you’re cool with me, I’ll talk to you. I got to know them because they were always hanging around at the shop, using Ross’s shop space to eat, hang out, smoke hookah, generally make a mess. They were Ross’s “friends” so I guess it was fine for them to just get in the way and take up space and air at Midnight Garage. They were also apart of a pretty large Scion crew; “Scion Evolution” so they always hung out there because of that, along with a few others. Martin’s Scion xB was also at the shop for a repaint and little repairs here and there in preparation for SEMA 2009. He’s got “big sponsors” apparently and claimed that his car would be high profile and his spot at SEMA was paid for. Now the agreement he made with Ross when he originally brought his car in was that he would help Ross out with the car, afterall they were friends. It was also agreed upon that he would rock the Midnight Garage banner for a year and Ross would hook him up with the price on all the work. This was written and signed by the way. Business is business afterall…
He agreed to fix and repair the bumpers, paint the Scion “Laguna Seca Blue”, and install some gauges along with some NRG stuff Martin got from his sponsorship. Now I’ll be honest with you, the car sat for a while, a couple months to be exact. Why? Because cash is king. Ross needed to do small side jobs here and there to pay the rent, and as a friend, it was okay for both parties. Some where inbetween that time, his girlfriend’s car came into the picture as well, and it was also gonna be apart of SEMA. Mikeyyyy’s car was supposed to be apart of SEMA as well and needed to be repainted but Mikey eventually decided to give Ross the time he needs and told him to just finish the other two cars. There was also some Clazzio shit that was coming in for Martin’s car and the interior pieces needed to be rewrapped and the headliner done. But that stuff was never agreed upon to be done. I guess he just assumed Ross would do it for him, because they were “friends”…
So the month of SEMA rolls by and there was a minor delay in the paint while Ross was finishing up other cars. This whole time, Martin and his chick are there at the shop almost daily, just hanging out, eating, generally not doing shit. I’m no expert on building cars or anything, but if I know I got some interior shit to install and some panels to be rewrapped, I probably would have gotten to it already and started working on it, regardless if the car was being painted or not. the interior has nothing to do with the outside of the car afterall. And if I’m just sitting at Midnight Garage and picking my ass, I probably woulda tried to knock that out first knowing that the paint was gonna come down to the wire…Plus the guy was getting some Memphis Audio sponsorship and it probably would have been a good idea to maybe do the audio stuff to in the meantime, but again, what do I know?…
Me personally, I’m always at the shop because I use Ross’s sticker machine to cut my Chronicles stickers so I’m always around seeing what’s going on and pushing Ross to get these cars done and making sure he stays on track. Not that he’s losing focus or anything but having a bunch of Scion kids hanging around at the shop can be a distraction. The whole time I’m there, I see these two (Martin and Melissa) just sitting there talking the night away and not doing shit. Did it ever occur to you that you should probably be working on the car? The guy says he was gonna come by and help out on the car and just pulls up a chair and sits on his ass and watches the days go by. Wasn’t the agreement made that you would help out to ensure your car would be finished in time?…
Fast forward to the week before SEMA…Martin’s xB is in paint. Door jams done, engine bay done, basically everything but the kit. Melissa’s xD needed a Five:Axis kit painted, done. Interior? Not done. Audio? Nope. Are they at the shop everyday not doing anything? Yup. I’m literally there when Ross is painting Martin’s car so I know it’s getting done. My boy Billy needed his sub enclosure painted for SEMA as well, came up last minute,…DONE. This was Thursday to Friday before SEMA. Melissa’s kit is painted and cleared, installed, etc…car is ready to go, Ross even put the wheels on for them. Melissa is stressing out but where’s Martin? “Ohhh, he’s sick, he’s bed ridden…when’s he’s sick, he can’t even get up.” she says. Alright, but your car needs to be finished and you guys need to do the interior still. “Oh I’m gonna do it for him.” she says. That’s a loyal girlfriend I thought. But you need to wrap the interior and do the headliner in one night….and you’ve never done it before…and you have no tools. Does that make any sense to you? “Oh Ross will do it for us” she says….Uhh, don’t think so. Ross agreed to paint the car and he also did alot of little things that he didn’t have to, but did it out of courtesy, but there’s no fucking way that he’s gonna wrap an entire interior for you when he’s gotta finish the outside of the car, you know, the part that you paid for and he was contracted to do. This is supposed to be a SEMA feature vehicle, and your girlfriend is wrapping your interior and she doesn’t even have a clue how to do anything of the sort. Are you fucking serious? Your car needs to be finished but you have her sitting in the middle of the shop staring at panels waiting for someone to help her, while you’re sleeping at home because you’re sick. Gotcha….It’s so important for this car to get painted but Ross has to lend your girlfriend tools, air compressor, industrial strength interior glue, etc. so that the interior, which should have been done long before, can be finished. Again, by someone who has no experience touching any of that shit….
So I wanted to help out, because I’m not an asshole. I don’t even fucking know them that well but I’m willing to help out so the car is done. So I take time outta my schedule to stand there and teach her how to wrap panels while her boyfriend is sleeping. Somewhere along that time, she mentions that she still has to pack and they want to drive up early Saturday morning because “they don’t want to rush” and want to have a smooth drive up….At this rate, I’m thinking that they won’t even leave by late Saturday night. Needless to say, the interior pieces didn’t come out so well. SEMA car…riiight. Big sponsors but I got a noob wrapping my shit. Man, I just wanted to see these cars finished so as an incentive I agreed to do their vinyl stickers for them. Actually Ross asked me to help them out and I agreed. I’d do what I can. I don’t really know what kind of SEMA feature car has sponsors that can’t supply them with the proper logos and sizing but of course I didn’t get any of that shit until late Friday night. She tells me “YOU BETTER DO THE STICKERS. YOU TOLD ME YOU WOULD AND I’M GONNA BE PISSED IF YOU DON’T DO THEM FOR ME”…..What the fuck? All of a sudden I’m obligated to do that shit? I’m helping them out and I’m not even asking for anything in return and now this chick is fucking yelling at me? Haha…you gotta be kidding me. I said “I’ll do what I can.” I only mention this because I heard them talking shit saying that they paid me and I didn’t come through. No bitch, you didn’t fucking pay me shit. And at SEMA you looked me in my fucking face and hugged me and was cool with me. If you felt I wronged you in some way, speak on it…
So the stickers weren’t done….and well, neither was Martin’s car. Obviously they were gonna talk shit. This is being written so that everyone knows the real story as to why it wasn’t finished. I’m gonna beat them to the punch before they can run their fucking mouths. Honestly, if anything the car would have been finished, it would have been done maybe early Sunday/late Saturday, but it would have been finished. It didn’t get finished because that night, around 3am, Ross and his girlfriend Sara’s puppy got loose and ran into the street. They just got this dog not too long ago and it was just a puppy. I was still there as well as a couple other homies because we were helping out trying to get shit done, and my ass was cutting stickers still. Well I see Ross come back with his dog clinched super tight in his grasps. I thought he was just holding onto it because he didn’t want it to get away. Something was definitely wrong. he walks to the back of the shop with the dog and he has blood on his face. We thought the dog had bit him or some shit, so we walk back there to check what was going on. What I saw next was pretty fucking gruesome. The dog was hit by a car and it died in Ross’s arms as he carried it back. There was blood everywhere. On the carpet, floors, all over Ross. I can’t even recall the last time I saw so much blood. Ross laid it down on the table and blood was just everywhere. Me and the homies just stood there not knowing what to do as Ross placed his face on his dog and was just shaking. Like he was in shock. His girlfriend Sara, was hysterical. At this point, car shit didn’t matter. Nothing really mattered. We cleaned the blood up, placed the dog in a box and they had to take the dog to the animal hospital to take care of the corpse. We were kinda speechless after that. I don’t know about you guys, but I kinda don’t feel like doing shit after that especially cutting stickers. Sara was crying, Ross was in shock…car shit, didn’t matter. He even tried to get back to work on the cars and we told him to stop. The rest of us took off and gave Ross and Sara their space. That dog was like a child to them. Fuck some car shit. Martin and Melissa came back a couple hours to check on their car…remarkably, Martin’s crazy illness had passed apparently, and he was able to walk again…and Ross explained the situation to them and what had happened. They knew the dog well and Melissa was always there to play with the dog and she had a dog herself, so it was understood….so we thought anyway….
So her car is ready and is off to SEMA. The week of SEMA (last week), Martin doesn’t hit up Ross or anything, doesn’t say what’s up, anything…Guess he was mad about his car not being finished. Understandable, but considering he didn’t lift a finger to try to finish his own car, he can’t really say. I run into him and he seems fine, says what’s up, whatever… We get word that he’s talking shit about why his car wasn’t finished. We also understand. We know he’s upset with the car not being finished. He goes to everyone within their Scion community and bad mouths Ross and his shop to anyone that would listen. Ross hits me up about it and I tell him…”It’s expected. I mean, it’s easier to tell people that you didn’t finish his car and that you fucked up, then for him to tell the story about what really happened and the circumstances that came about.” Clearly, knowing that weak-minded kid, he would talk shit…it wasn’t a surprise to us. We knew he would talk, but we didn’t know the extent of it. This dude and his girl went and put Midnight Garage on blast to EVERYBODY. Ross takes exception to it, considering all he’s done for Martin, but he understands that he’s got a business to run, so as soon as he comes back from SEMA, he got right back to work on it…
I get back from Vegas and I hit up Ross to see what’s going on, and he tells me he’s sick, as most of us are lately, and has a bit of a sore throat so our conversation is short. Monday and Tuesday, dude is pretty sick, I talked to him today and he’s still sick. But he knows he’s gotta grind so he locks himself in his shop and gets to work. At this point he’s a little tired of all the shit talking that Martin and Melissa are doing so he deletes them from his Facebook, along with a couple of other individuals that were talking. Facebook is serious business of course, so these two flip out. Being deleted from facebook is the end of the world. A bunch of other Scion people get involved when they shouldn’t be, and some guys try to mediate the situation and try to arrange for a dinner to occur where both parties and talk. Ross says he’s got nothing to say to them so he passes on it, just says that he’ll finish the car and it’ll be the end of it. The car is probably 70% done. It’s in the middle of wetsanding and the kit had to be painted, and the contract would be fulfilled…
I’ll even post a pic of the car as they were waiting to tow it home…Just for reference and to prove that they didn’t allow Ross to finish the car before they took it away…

What happened next, is probably the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard and what they did to Ross, well, let’s just say that it caused irreversible damage…
After the whole Facebook ordeal, Melissa and Martin hit up Ross about the car….Ross is sick, dude doesn’t want to talk to people, especially these two clowns. So they actually go as far as to come to the shop and bang on the door and shit. Real classy individuals you know?….Funny how when Ross is sick, they come banging on the door asking for shit to be done, but when it came down to crunch time for SEMA, Martin was apparently so sick and bed-ridden that he didn’t even come by to finish his own car. It’s funny how that works, right?
Earlier tonight, they lost their fucking minds. They show up at the shop in a fury looking for Ross…It’s not just them two though, Martin’s mother is there as well as Melissa’s brothers. Yes, Martin’s MOM. What they plan on doing with two extra guys there, I don’t know. But I assume they wanted to appear like they had the numbers to make Ross feel intimidated. Another wise choice… Ross isn’t at the shop at the time and Sara comes back from work to see these characters waiting at the shop. She rolls up and Martin’s mom is ranting and raving calling Sara a “slut” or “ho” and cussing her out. That’s a real classy mother I guess. I don’t know what being a slut has to do with painting a car, but then again, why is the guy’s mother there? Sara doesn’t want to deal with the bullshit so she tries to leave and they block her car in! Threatening her and repeatedly asking her where Ross is….It got so bad that Sara had to call the police to get involved…
Ross arrives and Martin, like his mother, also goes on a tirade claiming that he’s gonna ruin Ross and report him to the BBB. He also claims he’s gonna take Ross to small claims court. Report what? Gonna take him to court for what? Because he was still finishing the car? I’m no lawyer, but you can’t sue someone for nothing. Midnight Garage didn’t deliver the car in that condition. Work was still being done on it. Martin tells Ross that he wants the car back and he’s pulling it out of Midnight Garage. Good luck with that lawsuit…You do know that you can’t sue someone for not finishing a car when you pulled the car yourself and took it home and didn’t allow it to be finished, right?
While they wait for the flatbed to take the car, Ross and Sara go back into the shop because they have nothing else to say to them…When they walk back out after they leave, this is what they have to greet them…

Wow…..you dumb motherfuckers…

I can understand being unhappy about a car not being finished in time, but to go and vandalize another man’s car….is on a totally different level of stupid…

It’s unbelieable the levels these people will stoop to….and for what? Martin mentioned that his SEMA sponsors were mad at him because his car wasn’t finished…
Homie, your car ain’t that special. Nobody would have cared either way if that shit made it to SEMA or not. You got a Memphis sponsorship, and you would have arrived with no audio…You have a Clazzio-sponsorship, and you have door panels hand wrapped by your girl who doesn’t know the first thing about wrapping anything. You have a Hankook sponsorship, but they didn’t feel you were important enough to give you four matching tires. You had a SEMA deadline to meet, but you couldn’t even get out of bed to lift a finger to finish your car. Your shit ain’t that important. Trust me. The automotive world would have been fine without your car. And if you think you disappointed your sponsors, imagine what they’ll think of you now when they see this. A cowardly kid who brings his mom to fight his battles for him and vandalizes people’s cars. That’s a real good look for you. You do realize what car you messed with and the people associated with that name it represents right? Whoever decides to finish your car, make sure to let them know that if they dont do a good job in the right amount of time, that your mother will be there to talk shit to their significant others.
I hope the best for you because you’ll need all the help you can get.
You, your girl, her brothers, your mother, whoever decided to carve the “fuck you” on the hood… FUCK YOU too, you insignificant fucks. Go facebook about it. We know you planned on “exposing” Ross or talking shit about him to the Scion community or whoever wants to listen to your dumbass. We got you.
Got your plates too….smile….
Everybody be on the look-out for these vandals…

Kids these days….

Gonna miss this look…Phaze2 Ross bB gonna come back better than ever in 2010…
SEMA 2009 Coverage…Part 3…
Words – Joey Lee/ Photos – May Miranda & sections done by Joey Lee and Michael Cristi

More?…

Brushed aluminum lips were a pretty popular item this year…this truck just happens to have a huge brushed lip in the rear…

This truck and rat rod was ridiculous, probably my choice for the best of SEMA. There were constant camera crews around it and people snapping pics so I didn’t get a chance to get some better pics until a day or so later when the crowd died down…So keep an eye out for those later on….

More brushed aluminum….

Randomly walked into the Mackin/Rays booth… They had a lot of good stuff. I don’t know why but that day I was intrigued by wheel spacers, haha…You’ll see in the pics…

Some nice ass wheel spacers…probably cost like 300 dollars or some shit…

Saw this new “MXP” or “Mackin Xtreme Products” stuff up on display…Not really sure whose producing this stuff for them but it looks really good…

Advans…

Project Mu…

Abbey Road Company…

Brushed aluminum?…

Crazy ass bay…look at all those Wiggins clamps!…$$$$

APR widebody Mustang on Work VS-KFs….

Stumbled into the House of Kolors area and saw some colors…a house full of them…

…and also saw this creepy airbrushed piece about gun rights or something but comes off more like a trucker trying to devour a boy scout…

Legit RHD VW Scirocco…

Tanner Foust’s Nascar-powered Scion tC…

Got more Genesis stuff for you guys coming up in the next batch I think…Including that Rhys Millen one I was talking about last time…Back for more later…
SEMA 2009 Coverage…Part 2…

Back for moreeee….

This is what happens when a million dollar company with indy car money builds a time attack EVO….The Sierra Sierra Evo is badass. Got a chance to get a close look at it finally and it doesn’t disappoint. Can’t wait to see how this thing does at Super Lap Battle this Wednesday too…

Quick shot of just how crowded it was the second day at SEMA…

Ford had a crazy ass display this year…They had a giant section all to themselves and had a bunch of new Taurus SHOs on display as well as some new Focus’. I gotta say, I really like the way the new Focus looks. Of course I haven’t gotten to the pics yet because I had to come back and take them since it was so crowded. Literally like large white people everywhere, haha. I don’t know if it’s a Ford thing or not or all the executives decided the clutter up the floor but gotdamn it was crowded…

Galpin Ford had center stage as they reassembled a Mustang in front of the large crowd. You probably remember them for doing all the cars in the later Pimp My Ride seasons. In this pic you can see the giant with the spikey hair from the show, Mad Mike, guy, and the other guy….haha…

I remember going to Auto Fashion maybe a month ago and seeing some Ford Flex parts at their shop and I asked Freddy about it. He told me he was building one for SEMA and I guess this is the end result. Again, I have more pics of this later on in the coverage but it was too crowded for me to take a pic. Here’s the interior though, with bandana themed seats and all…

I thought it was regular bandana but I got a closer look and it’s like some special Falken print. Pretty cool…

Apparently this truck went to the same buffets I did while I was in Vegas…haha…

Beautiful…

Stopped by the Samco Sport booth and saw this EVO X from High End. Very Nice…

Here’s another one in the Seibon booth…

Interesting hood design on this one….The Genesis was another popular car at SEMA. For those of you who weren’t there, wait until you see the one from Rhys Millen in the Hyundai booth…good lord…

This VIP-themed Legacy has to be one of my favorites of the show…

The new Legacys are crazy looking. So much more aggressive than the WRXs…This one is something you totally wouldn’t expect to see and it’s executed wonderfully…

Even has wrapped engine covers in true VIP fashion…

Love it…

Here’s the Legacy wagon….I hope these cars do well over here in the states. With the popularity of the WRXs and EVOs, I don’t see why not…

This thing is badass, haha…one of the BBsquad guys told me about this the first night and I had no idea it would look like this. If that’s not crazy enough, look at what’s attached to it…

…this shit is bananas!…

Forgeline wheels seem to be really popular at SEMA. I guess they were doing a big sponsorship campaign or something because they were everywhere. Almost as common as Memphis Audio stuff was. Practically every car had Memphis stuff on it and the Forgeline wheels were on both imports and domestics…Really nice wheels too…

Walked outside to take off for lunch with Mikeyyyy and I stopped by to snap some pics of Linda’s Matrix. Needs a little bit more work but once it’s done it should be really nice…

Here’s a Civic that’s also from Linda’s crew. You probably remember it being blue before….

Alright that’s it for today…back to knocking out the rest of the pics….stay tuned…
SEMA 2009 Coverage…Part 1…

Ugghhh….so many pics. Barely even scratched the surface so far but here’s the first batch of them…
So I headed out Sunday night to HeyMikeyyyy’s house to stay over because we were gonna take off early Monday to Vegas. I have a terrible time waking up early to do anything so getting up and driving over there early just didn’t sound like it would be a good idea for me. I got there pretty late and just hung out there and played Forza 3 with Mikey until like 3am. We woke up and grabbed all our stuff and took off…

I took this pic in the morning of Mikey’s collection of all our mag feature plaques. Only got a couple so far but once the rest come in, his wall should be pretty full. Just to give you guys a look at what we’ve accomplished as a group…and a couple more to come next year as well hopefully…
Anyways, off to Vegas…Got there in about 3 1/2 hours and we stopped by Primm to grab some food before we went over to help out a friend during SEMA set-up. In hindsight I should have brought my camera down during set-up to take pics because it was pretty empty at that time but oh well, next time I guess. It was pretty cool to see people setting up for the show though. First time I’ve ever been to SEMA and got a behind the scenes look at all the happenings. I even saw Chip Foose there and he was busy putting up his own shelving and stuff for his booth. That’s when you know that guy gets down. One of the most respected guys in the automotive industry and he still does his own work and builds his own displays. Also got a chance to see some old acquaintances that I probably wouldn’t have been able to see the rest of the week with the huge crowd so that was also good. We helped Billy put on his stickers that I cut on his M3, walked around for a bit, picked up our passes for the next day and then proceeded to go back to check-in at our hotel…

I wish I stayed here…haha…
But we ended up staying at the Grandview Resort. It was a time share spot that had a full kitchen, bedroom, living room, etc…pretty nice for $64 a night…

Shot of the living room…not bad at all…
Ended up not doing much the first night. Just hung out in the room for a bit, ate dinner with Billy and his girl at the Wynn Buffet, and then kicked it with the BBsquad guys for the rest of the night….
Next day it was off to SEMA bright and early (around 12:30 =P)… I’ll let the pics do the talking…

Shitloads of Camaros this year as expected. This one is on Airrunner…

I don’t know why but this shit reminds me of Starfox for Super Nintendo haha….
Ran into this Euro-R that caught my attention. That and it was probably the first Honda I really saw inside the building. Pretty sick though, notice the front hood spoiler…Maybe Jeremy will see this and get some ideas for his TSX. Then he can build it half way and then sell it or drive it around with no driver’s license haha….

Scion xBt truck…Pretty nifty idea. Bed is big enough to fit like, one bottle of Fiji water but cool nonetheless….

I was following this Camaro build on NWP and finally got to see it in person. Crazy tubbed out rear…so crazy that some guy actually did this…

…Mikey and I looked at eachother laughing and then some older white guy walked by and was like “well that’s gotta be the gayest shit I’ve seen all day…” haha….

Crazy…

I sounded this shit out like 6 times and I still don’t know what it says or means…For the record it had some pretty cool stuff done to it, even had like a fucking fountain or something spraying water out around the speakers….I would have captured it but the truck is the size of a cruise ship and I don’t have a lens that can capture anything that big or green…

This thing is meeeeean…Never been much of a follower of Bentleys until the ASI widebody kit came out for it and man, I love these cars all kitted up. Mikey said that this car was built by the Platinum Motorsports guys and was done in just 8 days time…

Headed over to the next hall and saw the Scion booth and the Scions that Ross was talking about. He went to some SEMA pre-party during the week before and had a chance to see all these cars up close before the public did…

Probably one of my favorite cars of the entire show. This Sema “truck” was built by BOWLS and even has a Ruckus in the bed, pretty crazy…Love the attention to detail. There’s a logo that’s on the grille that is actually etched on the underside and appears on the top portion of the grille reflected. Awesome detail…

Then I saw the Scion “Kogi” xD. This thing was really nuts. Had a BBQ grill in the trunk, audio, tvs, and in each taillight you can pull them out to reveal utensils on one end and sauces in the other. Can’t say I’m really a fan of all the Kogi hoopla because I generally like to keep my mexican food mexican, but this is a cool idea. I was hanging around this area one night when SEMA was closing up and I saw the Toyota corporate guys looking at it and it blew their minds. I’ve never seen Japanese people so excited staring at something without mosaic blur spots over bushy gentalia…yah I said it, wanna fight about it…

…I hope Scion Corp. gives me a chance to build a Scion next year. It’ll be a Scion xD Dim Sum truck. I’ll give it a brushed aluminum finish with a heated bed filled with dim sum and have an old chinese woman push it from the back and then try to tell me everything has pork in it…

5Axis came out with a new Scion DJ booth set-up thing, whatever you call it. The first one was sick and this one is dope too. I gotta say that those are some big ass flares but it kinda works. They’ve always had a style unique to their own and this one is no different…What really stood out to me were the wheels…

They look almost like old school Hoshino wheels but with an extra spoke…

Rockstar S2000…Then I walked around for awhile and tried to manuever through the huge crowds…

I was actually surprised by how big of a booth JUN had. You don’t really hear much about them in terms of doing shows and advertising but they repped it big at SEMA…

Gonna stop here for today, still have days and days worth of stuff to go through. Should be a busy week with all these pics going up…Oh here’s something with two engines in it, alright later….

One car, two engines and 4 dudes wearing the same thing….I’m a numbers guy, what can I say…
Hey there Power Outage…
Seriously, I was going through all these pics and what not and what do you know…the power goes out. Not power outage like I didn’t pay my bill or whatever but like the whole fucking block went black. It was like some horror movie shit. I bet you the security guard in the complex was shitting himself when the lights went out and he was standing in the parking lot in the pitch black. I had an LED flashlight that I waved around out my window to see what was going on and it probably just scared the dude even more to see a white light flying about in the parking lot in the dark…haha. So I attempted to go to sleep since, well, I couldn’t do anything else without power. I don’t what happened but I managed to have like the worst fucking dream in the course of a 10 minute sleeping session and woke up to the power coming back on. Then I kinda just layed there for awhile waiting for everything to turn back on. Oh yah, then my computer was tripping out and wouldn’t restart. Probably the surge of power when it turned back on suddenly or whatever. I was thinking how fucked I would be if the power outage just raped my harddrive and I lost all my content. Yeahh….so needless to say, this is where I’m at right now. So I think I’m just gonna go lay down again and wake up and upload some more pics. Out.

Finally….damn…

I’m back….finally. Haha, I would have gone through internet withdrawal if I wasn’t umm….in Vegas. Haha….I got like over 4gigs of shit to look through so it’s gonna be an interesting week for sure. Stay tuned. I had a blast, SEMA was everything I thought it would be, had some good times eating disgusting amounts of food, chillin with the homies, and even shooting some cars or two. Sorry I haven’t been around but I don’t have a computer and we didn’t have internet access regardless. I got lots of shit to go through though like I said. Just a couple Hondas at the show but I took everything that I thought was interesting, and if you’ve been following this site, you know the weird shit that comes about when I walk around anywhere with a camera in hand…So stay tuned. I’m back muthafuckaaaaaa—aaaaa–aaa
See you in Vegas…
Oh man, I swear, I haven’t slept for shit this past weekend. On top of the work I was finishing up for HT, I was also helping some people prep for SEMA and cutting graphics and shit for people. Mark my words, never again…not unless there’s some serious monetary backing in it….Seriously, if I weren’t doing it for friends, I wouldn’t have done it at all. It was quite the weekend….I spent Halloween night cutting stickers and trying to finish up a bunch of random other junk in the process. Probably got like what….8-10 hours of sleep total in the last 3 days? Yikes…First thing I do when I get my ass to Vegas is take a long ass nap. Anyways, big week because as you all know, it is SEMA week. I’ll try to update on what’s been going on from day to day at the show as well as random happenings in Vegas. Can’t say I’ll be updating with a crazy amount of pics though because I kinda just need to take a break as well. I’m gonna enjoy Vegas as much as I can and just hang out with friends and what not. Might even shoot some cars, who knows…See you guys out there if you’re comin’…if not, stick around for the coverage. Gonna head out early tomorrow and leave my ass there for like a whole week…then head back on Sunday and go to Auto Fashion for their annual VIP Festival. Should be quite a week of happenings….Which means more shit for you guys to look at when I come home. Alright, enough of this long ass paragraph…I am out.
Oh actually one more thing….over the weekend, we lost a good friend in Toyo the Midnight Garage puppy. He ran out of the shop a couple nights ago and was hit by a car and lost his life. My condolences to Ross and the Midnight Garage gang. Damn, it was quite a horrific sight to see. I have to say, I’ve seen some pretty awful stuff in my life time and seeing that poor puppy was one of the most gruesome things I have ever seen. So sad to even think that he’s gone. He was such an excited little dog…always jumping around and shit. The world wasn’t ready for you my friend, may you jump around and have all the fun you want up in puppy heaven. RIP, Toyo the Midnight Garage Puppy….
