Diving right into the second portion of our 2012 Import Alliance Summer Meet Coverage… Sorry for the delay, I had some issues uploading the photos yesterday and then got tied up with work so I didn’t have much time to knock out the update. The photos today and tomorrow are coming courtesy of Eric Badis. Eric helped The Chronicles out before earlier this year with the IA Spring Meet coverage and I liked his photos so much that I just had to use his stuff again for the summer meet. Let me apologize in advance because I went a completely apeshits and went a little overboard with the editing. Some of you will like it, some won’t. I decided to go this route to give the photos a different feel than what you guys are used to normally here on the site. I don’t imagine I’d go this route again because it doubles my work flow and I just don’t have that kind of time. Sleep is important and I’m sure I lost quite a bit of it going through Eric’s photos haha. All the credit in the world goes to him. He has a good eye and I really enjoyed his shots. It’s great that he covered everything during his trip and even captured some content outside of the event…
I tried to keep everything together as far as the time frame but it isn’t 100% accurate. It is probably as close as it gets though without Eric and his friends having to come in here and rearrange everything. I hope you all enjoy the photos as much as I did. I felt like I was there after going through all his photos. Today and tomorrow’s batch of photos are just a small portion of what he captured that day. I just selected my favorite photos of the bunch to use here on the site…
That’s all I gotta say for now…enjoy and thanks to Eric Badis for the photos and his friend Robbie Harper for opening the lines of communication to make this possible…
There are probably a handful of VIP builds that I like and follow out east and this M45 is definitely one of them. It’s very simple compared to a lot of the other wild VIP builds out there but I like the parts selection. I also like it because its the same color as It’s JDM Yo!! Tony’s M and Tony’s will never be modified because he’s too busy dealing with bills and tits…
Robbie Harper’s S2000 getting a nice thorough wash before IA…
R35 GTR in their hotel parking lot. I heard there were enough cars at this spot to have their own event…
R32 Skyline posted up at the hotel on some Nismo LMGT4s…
Another great looking VIP build…Love the color and the wheel fitment on his Leon Hardiritt Beils…
Matte black Evo on Volk TE37SLs with a fancy rainbow in the background…
Copious amounts of blue tape were used…
KJ Drapeau’s S2000 on white Enkei NTO3s… I believe this car was black at last year’s IA Summer event with green Work Meister S1s…
Derek Covington’s turbo widebody S2000 on a trailer… When you have as much custom bodywork as this thing, making as much power as it does, it makes sense to just be on the safe side and have the thing trailered in…
Another shot of KJ’s S2K with a rainbow shooting out of it…
Love the Auto Couture front bumper on Smitty’s M….
Thought this shot was pretty nice as the sun began to set in North Carolina…
Hopefully you all realized by now that the event was held here and not in Nashville, Tennessee….
Great shot of the roll-in line early in the AM…
One more of KJ’s highlighter green/yellow S2K with ASM front bumper…. Color is pretty wild but I can dig it…
Beautifully executed MK5 VW GTi…
Clean S2000 with Dave Tormey from Canibeat lurking in the background…
White-on-white Z33…
Supercharged DC5 from EMOTION with Backyard Special front bumper and INGs+1 N-Spec rear flares…
Zach Hazelbaker’s new Advan Racing TCIII wheels on his Sorcery widebody NSX…
Accord sedan on aggressive SSR SP3 Professors…
Michael Rabe’s 3-Series Bimmer on BBS wheels…
Joy Abdalla’s incredibly Subaru STi made an appearance…
Marvin Gerard’s Acura TL on custom step-lip Work Equips…
Kam’s Junction Produce GS400 from Team SOLO…
Mark Naylor’s 2GS that I remember seeing at last year’s IA event…
I could be wrong but I believe this is Tuan Chau’s K-swapped DC2. Reason being is that I don’t recall too many K-supercharged Integras from that area. If it is, I’m digging the new Spoon theme…
Good-looking Integra on Work RSZ-Rs…
K20 turbo built by Slowmotion Motorsports…
Eric did a great job of capturing this shot of the VH45DE-swapped S13 from Grip Royal…
Nice paint and wheel combo on this Z…
Honda CR-Z on white Meisters…
No event is complete without brizzles…
Derek Covington driving to I have no idea fucking where because I wasn’t there…. Cool shot though, haha…
Steve Thomsen’s wild turbo EJ1 coupe…
Scion FR-S on Volk LE28Ns…
Another shot of Hazelbaker’s Sorcery NSX…
NSX on Advan RZs…
Wideload coming through…
Another S2000 from EMOTION…
Boosted S2000 on black CCWs…
Closing it out for the day with a great shot of Joy’s STi…
Back tomorrow with the second half of Eric Badis’ coverage of IA 2012…
