Ahhh, we’ve really come full circle now in The Chronicles coverage of WEKEAST 2013… Today we’re going to be taking a look at some of the cars that you may recognize from the roll-in portion of our coverage. I had already taken a bunch of photos of these cars early on so I made sure to go explore the show and do coverage of other cars before getting back to some of these cars after they had finished setting-up. I’ve detailed my trip from Cali to Jersey, our adventures in New York City, the morning of the show and the roll-in, and now we are in the deep, deep, heart of the show. Tomorrow will conclude the WEKEAST coverage and I hope you guys have enjoyed it. I tried to be thorough and make the most of my time covering the show and I think I did the event justice. I’ll give everyone my closing thoughts tomorrow but enjoy more car coverage for now. As always, thanks for looking and I appreciate the support!…
There were five other posts of WEKEAST ’13 coverage before this so make sure you’re up-to-date on everything. Here are the links below for Parts 1-5…

Just one more part to go after today so let’s continue with the photos…
A coupe more shots of the Varis widebody Subaru BR-Z on Advan GT wheels. Very intricate design with a ton of vents front and back. The wheel arches on the custom fenders and rear quarter dwarf the 19-inch Advan Racing GT wheels and almost makes them look small. Consider that the BR-Z and the FR-S aren’t very big cars to begin with so the Varis kit definitely gives it much more of a bulky appearance….
Big Ty’s GS400 from Libery VIP and a glimpse of his lavishly-done custom interior…
Really liked seeing someone take the Acura RL chassis to another level with this Mode Parfume-equipped VIP-styled KA9 on Luxury Abstract wheels…
Mike’s Jaguar X300 XJ8L from Liberty VIP…Random but I just remembered that I bought my head rest monitors for my Y33 Q from him and didn’t even realize this was his car until now, haha…
Jan Villanos’ GS430 from Liberty VIP with a custom front bumper that is part GS and part E-Class Mercedes Benz. Makes for a interesting look, especially with the custom bronze finish on the Junction Produce Scaras. If I remember correctly, this GS was at WEKEAST last year as well but with a more traditional Junction Produce aero kit and Work Ryvers..
Another 2GS from Liberty VIP o Leon Hardiritt Ordens…
Official Wekfest spokesmodel Elissa Alva stepped away from the Wekfest booth for a quick minute for photos…
Rick Gonzalez’s Subaru WRX STI…
Some more detail-shots of William Chau’s Lexus SC430 convertible including a look at his custom interior and trunk set-up. Highly-detailed build with a ton of custom work…
Honda F20C-swapped Toyota AE86 on Work Meister CR-01…
Luxury Abstract wheels seem to be a very popular wheel choice among the VIP/luxury crowd out East…
Miss Chanè’s purple GS300 on Work Equip wheels from Liberty VIP…
Bagged Subaru WRX on blue Work Emotion XD9…
The bright pink camo Subaru WRX STI that you saw during the roll-in coverage in Part 2…
Subaru BR-Z looking clean and simple on Volk Racing TE37RT…
Another BR-Z, this one on WED’s Sport SA15R wheels…
GM LS2-swapped Kouki S14 with Vertex Lange widebody kit from TM-SPL…
Beautiful combination of black Work Meister S1s and brightly colored Project Mu big brakes in their signature tone…
BNR34 Skyline GT-R also on 3-piece Work Meister S1…
Love the finish on these….
Z34 370Z with Varis front lip and Powerhouse Amuse sideskirts. I’m not 100% sure, but I believe the front fenders are Amuse pieces as well. Wheels are Work Gnosis HS202…
Dave Tormey’s Honda S2000 running a Powerhouse Amuse front bumper and Advan Racing RZ…
Marty Chen’s AP1 S2000 on silver Mugen MF10s in 17×9 NSX rear wheel-specs all the way around. People always ask me every time I post a photo of Marty’s S2K asking what front lip it is and if it is a Gears lip. No, it is a BackYard Special front lip. The BYS is slightly bigger in size and cuts straight across the top while the Gears lip curves upward on both ends….
Mazda RX-8 on Luminous Yellow Rays Gram Lights 57D/DR… Nice touch with the matching tow strap…
Evo X on step-lipped Work Brombacher wheels with red caps…
Volkswagen Golf GTI planted to the floor via air ride suspension on refinished Porsche wheels…
Nice color choices on this Lexus 2IS on yellow 19-inch Volk Racing TE37…
One of the more enthusiastic individuals that I met while judging the Honda Class at WEKEAST was the owner of this EM1 Civic coupe, which if I remember correctly, was named Bethany. Very cool to see girls so excited about modding cars and Hondas in general. Very knowledgeable too with a ton of information about her build to pass along to me. Her and her boyfriend I believe built this car all on their own and it features a B18C swap. She admits that she at one time was into the whole stance-fad which is why her fenders and rear quarters looked the way they do but she says she has a whole ton of replacement parts stockpiled in her room waiting to go on. She just didn’t have enough time to get it all done before the show. Nice girl and it was nice meeting her…
Loved how this Subaru Forester looked on bronze Work Emotion CR Ultimates…
Acura TL on white Work Emotion XD9…
Nawshin Basher’s “Hi STI” 2004 Mitsubishi Evolution with Voltex front diffuser , Voltex GT rear wing, and Rexspeed carbon sideskirt addition. Wheels should be obvious, Magnesium Blue Volk Racing TE37…
Mercedes CLK63 AMG Black Series on black HRE wheels…
Stunning black Infiniti M37 sedan on WED’s Kranze Verae…
Infiniti G37 sedan on Work Gnosis GS4. Love the custom front fender treatment and additional vent added to the hood…
Bagged G37 sedan looking real nice on Leon Hardiritt Friedens…
Cool to see a set of Bride seats in a Mini Cooper S. Also like how it sits on these Prima Donna-style BBS RS wheels…
One more shot of the Infiniti G sedan on Work Meister S1R that you saw previously in Part 2 of the WEKEAST coverage…
Mark Yuen’s Custom VIP Lexus SC430 …
Original Vogue Silver EK9 Civic Type R… As with most CTR builds out in America, not a whole lot done to it because the idea is to preserve the value and rarity of the EK9 chassis. The only distinguishable mods on this R are white Regamaster EVOs, Spoon Sports front brakes, CTR wing risers, and air intake. Possibly header and exhaust too but nothing major,…and there’s nothing wrong with that. I can dig it…
EBP EM1 Civic SI on Almighty Grey Regamaster EVOs. From chatting with the owner, he too wanted to maintain the value of his EM1 because it is a very low mileage car and if you know anything about EM1s, they’re starting to get rarer by the day because motherfuckers are trying to jack every one of them…
Finishing off the trio of really clean, stock-body, Hondas is this 4-door Civic sedan with SI front lip and 2-piece Work Meister S1…
Can’t forget to include a shot of Kyle Crawford’s EF hatchback. His build was one of the more talked about builds of WEKEAST and a definite crowd favorite…
I like how the owner of this Acura TL color-matched the front grille. All these newer Acuras have a bunch of chrome accents everywhere and it almost makes the cars look a bit gaudy… By color-matching something as simple as the grille, it helps to streamline the front end a little more and makes it softer on the eyes…
Awesome to see a modded Toyota Sienna at WEKEAST. These newer Sienna SE vans look sick and it’s about time someone attempted to do something with them. This one has a Skipper front lip and Work Urbanzone wheels which are specifically designed for vans…
Closing out part six of seven with a shot of Sean Bradfords UCF31 Lexus LS430 on polished WED’s Kranze Bazreias. If you remember Part 1 of the covereage, Sean came to pick me up in New York City so that we could go check out the SNTRL Times Square cruise. Well I never got a shot of what he was driving that day but he was dipping through NYC in this thing and he’s just on coilovers. I am not down, haha… but props to Sean for making the attempt. I think all of our buttholes got a little bit tighter that day from clinching at every single pothole or imperfection in the road because New York’s roads are far from smooth….
Anyways, thanks for looking! Back with the finale tomorrow!!!…
The wheels on that red GTI aren’t refinished Porsche wheels, those are super rare Autostrada Monza’s.
Great coverage, I keep checking the site to see if you have more updates!
