Okay, so I know the short description of this event in the previous post seemed very confusing, but allow me to shed some light… XS Car Night is actually an event that was put on my a German online automotive publication called “XS Mag“. It’s like a mobile app that serves as a digital magazine which covers the Euro tuning segment. How we ended up there was very random because our cars do not necessarily cater to that demographic, but it was certainly an eye-opening experience. The XS Car Night “Fight Club” event at EuroSpeedway Lausitz coming up in June is actually billed as the “Biggest Car Show In Europe”. I don’t have too much information on it but their event in Long Beach was a much smaller event compared to most other major shows out here in Cali with a location that you’d never suspect there to be an car event at. This “Car Night”, held at the scenic Long Beach harbor, is more typically used for weddings and tourists as opposed to a car show. There was actually a wedding going on during that time as well right next door so it must have been a little odd for the wedding attendees to try to drown out the sounds of loud exhaust tones to listen to wedding vows…
It felt a little weird driving up onto the sidewalk and onto the grassy areas of the harbor. It almost felt kind of illegal in many ways because its not everyday that you are allowed the opportunity to drive in an area that is very much considered a historical landmark of Long Beach. We’re used to the Queen Mary lot because it is used every year for Wekfest LA and the Japanese Classic Car Show so we initially thought the event was held there. To our surprise, we were guided into this lot where we drove up into a little passageway that lead us to this lot. The event was short (5 pm to 8 pm) so we didn’t really worry about whether the show would be overwhelmingly entertaining or not. We actually parked the cars and then went to go eat for a couple hours down the way because this area of Long Beach features a ton of really great food spots. By the time we got back, it was starting to get dark already and we spent the last hour or so just walking around the pier. Overall I think it was a good experience. The day seemed really long because we spent most of the morning and early afternoon over at the Formula D Tech Day event but it was almost fitting that the second half of the day was spent by the relaxing waterfront. I still don’t have any idea how or why they were able to pull off this entire event for free to all spectators and car show exhibitors but I would venture to guess that it was done this way for promotional reasons. It was their first event ever so why not kick it off for free and have a good event. That way, the next time it comes around, people will be onboard because they heard so many good things about it and would be willing to pay a fee to be a part of it. It makes sense. If you have the resources to do it, why not, right?…
I didn’t capture very many photos but here is what I got from XS Car Night. The environment was pretty scenic so it made for some great photos. Enjoy and thanks for looking….
We kick things off with some shots at a local gas station after we left the Formula D Tech Day event to head to Long Beach. Everybody loves gas station photos so we all pulled up to fill up and grab some pics….
Noel’s Varis FR-S airred-up alongside the SSA Rocket Bunny NSX…
Matt from M’s JDM Motors’ damn near-perfect EF9-styled build….
Keychain’s Accord perfectly filling out the red, white, and blue theme…
Mikey has been driving his Integra everywhere lately and without his hood as well. For those wondering, yes he does own a hood, two of them in fact. I know because I see the car every fucking day, haha. We are lazy so we never put the hood back on and he is willing to drive it everywhere without it….
Eventually we did make it over to the show after sitting in traffic for a while. It was pretty hot that day so luckily I was able to relax in the comfortable confines of my air conditioned Q45 but the other guys were not so lucky…
Mauricio originally planned to just go to the Formula D Tech Day event but Mikey tricked him into going to the XS Car Night event where he was stuck with us until the end of the day…
My Aimgain Y33 Q45 on SSR Professor MS3 wheels…
Yogi’s GS430 has been making the rounds everywhere lately attending every car show and meet. He may have even shown up to the Pomona Adult School Car Meet BBQ last weekend hosted by a Harley motorcycle club consisting entirely of blind retirees…
Mikey’s Integra doesn’t really need any sort of introduction here on The Chronicles…
Captured this perfect moment of widebody and white booty…
We also conned Matt into showing up to XS Car Night with us. He had somewhere to be at 530 pm but was trapped at the show until it ended at 8, haha….
I’m not sure if Ken Jeong from The Hangover was dressed as a cop or if this was legit Long Beach PD but whoever he was, he took quite a liking to Mikey’s engine bay. So much so that he pulled his iPhone out to capture some photos of it….
His partner did not seem equally as amused….
Matt and Mauricio together. Crazy to think that these two builds span the length of over ten years. Matt’s EF debuted at the end of 2014 and Mauricio’s Civic, once built and owned by his friend Chad, has been around since 2002-03….
Really dig this Tic Tac-themed E36 M3 on Rotiform wheels…
New Rotiform CCV wheels…
Jon Tran’s custom Hyundai Genesis that later got stuck on the grassy hill behind. It would have made for a pretty epic fail video had the car actually rolled into the water but we sort of like Jon and probably wouldn’t wish that on him…
Matte brown (Not the UFC fighter) Mini Cooper on VIP Modular wheels….
Two very different generations but very similar themes……
Audi A7 bagged on the Rotiform CCVs you saw above…
More of the Dekra Tic Tac E36 coupe…
BMW 5-series wagon slammed on old school BMW M1-inspired Rotiform wheels…
Noel’s Varis Arising Scion FR-S on SSR TF1…

Brand new BMW M3 sedan on HRE wheels…
Keychain’s Accord sedan came out to soak in some sun…
One more of my Aimgain Y33….
Jon’s Genesis before it hit a pole and fell into the water…
Custom rebuilt Work Emitz wheels on this sport VIP-styled Lexus IS…
Subaru Forester looking pretty good on some MemoryFab MTechnica wheels…
This Forester STI sat nicely on custom step-lipped Blitz Type 01 wheels… Sorry for the pole photobomb…
This Audi looked stunning with the lighthouse and sun setting behind it…
1st generation Lexus LS400 from Low’N Slow crew on Work Emitz….
One of my personal favorites of the event was this 3-series BMW wagon on custom BBS wheels…
Liberty Walk BMW M4 coupe with the Long Beach Pier in the distance…
Captured this photo of Matt’s EF engine bay during golden hour. Definitely one of the best out in 2015 right now…
Mikey’s UCF20 LS400 on concave Rotiform wheels…
Allroad Outfitters Audi S4 on Volk ZE40s. Very interesting carbon pieces on this car and an even more interesting livery….

The Dapper booth hosted this Porsche 964 hammered on BBS mesh….
Insert some quote about “booty everywhere” or some shit…
…and closing it out with a quick snap of Mikey’s DC2 engine bay as the sun set on the scenic city of Long Beach…
That’s a wrap on that. Thanks for the support…
Thank you
