The Chronicles Vlog #15 takes you into one of the more typical Saturdays that we experience during a hot summer afternoon. The winter time is usually a little more laid back because the car show season is over but most events happen in the summer time and as such, we try to cram in as much as we can so we don’t miss out on anything…

This particular Saturday started early in the morning when Der and I headed down to Long Beach to check out the annual Japanese Classic Car Show. I like to check out this show every year because it is so different than what we would normally experience at a usual car show or meet. The venue is the same as Wekfest Long Beach but the layout is completely different as are the cars that participate. If you love Japanese classics, then I highly suggest you attend if you haven’t already. Der and I hang out at the show for a couple of hours while he plays with his new 3-Axis GoPro Gimbal. We’re trying to improve the quality of our videos and I think the Gimbal is really helpful in stabilizing our shots as we walk around everywhere.

After the JCCS 2015 event, I head back home to wait for Jenn Q to get her make-up done by make-up marvel Julian Morales before heading up to Santa Monica for her studio shoot. Photographer Natalie Wentworth and Jenn have been playing phone tag for months and they finally arranged a Saturday afternoon where they are both free to shoot. I decided to go along because Jenn asked me to go with her so I wanted to be supportive. Der meanwhile, heads over to Santa Fe Springs where Road Race Engineering was set to tune Phil Sison’s Integra from ATS Garage. Unfortunately, we don’t have too much footage of that because he ran into ECU issues which didn’t allow him to get the car tuned right away.

We later meet up back at HQ before Yuta joins us to check out the Hot Import Nights LA event. HIN isn’t the same as it once was before when it was one of the biggest events of the year at the LA Convention Center. Now it has turned into an interesting free-for-all event that takes place on the streets of historical San Pedro. Our evening was open so why not check out HIN to see how it is now?
