Okay, the madness has officially begun. I’m on my way back from Chicago as you’re reading this and then I have like, a three day window to prepare to fly out to Japan. In the coming days, I’ll try to get the Wekfest Chicago 2016 coverage up for you guys to see and if I find time, maybe put a Vlog together on the YouTube channel so we can get that going again. The previous two months have been relatively slow but things are picking up at a crazy rate right about now. After I get back from Japan, the annual Eibach Honda Meet is happening so forgive me if I look like a tired, cranky, asshole because that is probably how I will be by the end of May, haha…
In the meantime in-between time, check out the final set of photos from the Type_K Spring Tour that Shota Mori captured. There are some great shots in here, just like in the previous two posts, so make sure to give them a good, detailed look through…
Time to get back to work so make sure to check back for updates…
Thanks as always to the great Shota Mori for sharing his work with me so I can showcase them here for you all to see. The man definitely does great things with a camera and it would be a shame if people didn’t see his work…
Daisuke Ito’s DC5 Integra Type R…
Kentaro Unuma’s EG Ferio…
Nothing wrong with getting some good ol’ fashion 90s Hondas together in one place…
DC2 Integra Type R on Work RSZ-R…
Kohei Taguchi’s DC2 Integra Type R…
Takehiro Hasegawa’s Black Mugen Integra Type R…
Complete with Mugen Twin Loop and all…
J’s Racing rear diffuser and J’s exhaust….
Daisuke Ito remounting his front plate before leaving…
Afternoon hangs at Twin Ring Motegi…
The subtlety of Mugen Active Gate brakes…
…and don’t forget about the Spoon Sports front brakes peeking out behind the spokes of the Sprint Hart wheels…
A lot of these are just for artistic value and don’t require much explanation…
Amazing.
Love the Hilux Surf (4Runner) with the “No Equal” decal on it, haha…
The many faces of DC2R…
Ito and Unuma…
Ito messing with Taguchi’s Integra…
Hmmm…
Takeshi Kobayashi’s Acura Integra Type R…
For those that never read captions and all of a sudden had an epiphany, deciding to start now out of the blue, this is a legit U.S. Acura Integra Type R that Takeshi purchased in California years ago. He transported it back to Sendai and this R is parked inside his house which also serves as his shop space…
Kobayashi’s U.S. face R and Hasegawa’s Mugen face…
Funny thing is that I’ve known Takeshi for years now and often go to Japan, but have never seen his ITR in person…
Factory Type R face…
Seiya Suzuki’s girlfriend and her CTR on WED’S TC005….
I would be happy too in the presence of such great Hondas…
The couple that builds together stays together…
Notice the Mugen Twin-Loop…
Saito’s R…
That was about it for the TPK Cruise…
The next day however…
Shota Mori decided to meet up with some friends from L2P for some photos. Takeru Tojo owns the Mugen RR and the silver DB8 Type R is also Seiya Suzuki’s car…
Suzuki has a yellow DC2R as well but I think this might be his father’s car, perhaps? I am not 100% sure about the back story on this Integra…
Pretty cool to see a DB8 Type R in its natural habitat, lightly-modded with traditional Mugen components…
Classic bronze Mugen MF10 on Potenza RE-11…
..and the remaining shots are just some snaps of Tojo’s Mugen RR. A Mugen RR doesn’t realy need much explanation or introduction. It still blows my mind that Takeru even owns this car since he used to cruise around in a really cool Element before just deciding to one day purchase a rare Mugen RR…
…oh and then he put Volk TEs on it as well. It just doesn’t get any better…
Well, that’s a wrap. Thanks for looking!!…
What lens did Shota use? Love the photos.
Damn, that EG Ferio is hella clean. Love the different faces of all of the the Intgegras too. Thank you Joey and Shota! <3
