Eibach Honda Meet 2017 Coverage… Part 3 of 3…

I actually had a pretty good conversation with Rodrez and Ryan from the Eibach Honda Meet series today. Rodrez just recently finished his answers to the questionaire I gave him about the event and Ryan is working on his as I type this (hopefully). We had a chance to have a light-hearted conversation about what was going on in the Honda community recently and I also had a chance to look over Rodrez’s writing. He has a very unique perspective on things, being that he grew up messing with Hondas in the 90s, and you’ll be interested to know how long he’s been able to stay in this car community without losing his damn mind. Ryan still works at Eibach currently and he’s been busy dealing with everyday family stuff, but I expect his story to be interesting as well, being that he’s never really had the opportunity to talk much about himself before. It will be a good read on The Epilogues, I promise. If you’re a West Coast Honda enthusiast, it’ll bring back a lot of memories. For those outside of the West, or who may be under their 30s, you’ll want to read it to learn more about this great event and how it came to be, currently in its 13th year. I look forward to sitting down and writing it all out actually because it seems like it has been a good few weeks since I’ve had a chance to really write. Take a look at the final set of photos that I captured from the 2017 event and please come back for The Epilogues!

The photos below are from the second lot which was right next to the vendor area. I didn’t get a photo of every Honda out there because it probably would have been impossible just based on time alone, but I did try to snap some shots of some of the hidden gems out there in that massive crowd of Hondas. Check it out…

DB1 Integra sedan on rare SSR Hiro V2 Libra wheels as well as a OEM optional front lip…

Truly rare to see a set of V2 Libras this clean…

Midori Green Civic hatchback with SiR bumpers and thin side moldings…

Silver Ferio-inspired Civic sedan with a set of rare OEM Honda Access headlight covers. Also rare (sometimes unwanted) Desmond center caps for the Regamaster EVO wheel…

Weekend Playerz Shuttle crew brought out a slew of nicely-modded Wagons as usual…

Some curb-feelers on this white Civic Wagon sitting low on SSR EX-C Fins in white with gold hardware…

This Wagon had a Japanese Bull Bar with dual PIAA headlights and Work Meister CR01 wheels…

Interesting to see a set of Renoma Turbo Direction wheels at the Eibach Honda Meet…

Nice and simple white Civic coupe rocking a set of Sprint Hart CP-R wheels and some ARC side splitters…

This Civic was pretty insane-looking with the huge blower up top on the J32 V6 engine…

The blower is so big that the belt-drive pulley is literally millimeters away from the headlight. The core support has already been cut to make room for it as well. Makes you wonder how he’s able to drive anywhere without getting pulled-over every block…

Right next to it was probably a little cleaner example of a J32-swapped Civic, this one a EM1 coupe running a First Molding front lip and CCW Classic wheels…

The engine bay has been cleaned-up and at the center of it is the 3.2L 6-cylinder engine featuring a polished intake plenum…

This blue Integra looked pretty great with the USDM Type R front lip, 15×8 Volk TEs in black, and Mugen Gen. II rear wing…

Under the hood was a turbocharged K-swap set-up with a custom oil breather sitting right up front…

I actually shot Brian Arias’ Civic a couple years ago for a Import Tuner magazine spread. I haven’t seen this car in quite some time since then and I honestly didn’t even know he still had it. It was pretty simple back then, just had SiR bumpers and a set of BBR Comp wheels but now it has some new bits added to it that gives it more of an aggressive appearance. He’s added a J’s Racing front lip and rear wing…

The BBR Comps are gone now as well and in there place are a set of rare 15-inch (J’s Racing) RAM’S PR-6 wheels…

EF8-styled Honda CR-X with a J’s Racing front lip, custom front splitter, PCI side skirts, and a J’s rear wing. Also notice the Wilwood brakes and Mugen MF10L wheels…

Nice engine bay set-up on this Honda Prelude on SSR Professor MS1 wheels. The cooling hoses are routed in a very interesting way, with the top inlet right in the center by the exhaust manifold. I also still find it very strange why people don’t run intake arms/pipes on their tucked bays. I understand the want to make it look cleaner but it ends up looking a bit incomplete overall…

Here’s a super clean Integra Type R with Mugen front lip and bronze Mugen MF10 wheels. Also has a Mugen Gen. 1 spoiler…

Christopher Warren’s Super Street-featured Civic build now sans Rays Garcia Tune Speed Choppy wheels…

Spoon Sports-styled Integra Type R….

Some more of Warren’s B16A-powered Civic, featuring a Wings West front lip, carbon front intake duct, and smoked JDM headlights and corners…

Odd to see a set of Bomex side mirrors in 2017 but it is always nice to get a closer look at them and how incredibly unfunctional they are as side mirrors, LOL. Still very fucking cool to see though and a collector’s item for many EG/EH Civic owners…

Instead of the Speed Choppy wheels, Chris now has a set of custom BBR Comp wheels with his own “SLIXX No Competition” decals on the now polished faces…

Speaking of Speed Choppys, his friend actually had a set on their EM1 Civic SI coupe…

They have been refinished so they don’t look true to the original finish but still great to see a set with the ring intact…

Nick Slater’s Prelude on refinished Work Rezax wheels. The name of the front lip eludes me right now, perhaps Azect or something quirky like that…

Always thought this Tahitian Green EF was really clean with the EDM EF front bumper and SSR EX-C Defi wheels…

Right next to it was this EF9-inspired hatchback with Chargespeed front lip and Mag Blue Volk TEs…

Jose Jaimes’ daily-beater Civic with Tactical Art carbon front lip, Exceed hood, and 15-inch bronze TEs…

Jeremiah Santos’ EP3 representing the chassis quite well in this year’s annual Super Street “Honda Issue”. The front end features a JDM EP3 Type R conversion and Mugen front lip, while the body itself has been widened with flares to fit the 17×8 Work Meister S1 wheels…

Alongside Santos in the Honda Issue is Joseph Pham’s K24-powered EP3 with Mugen front lip and chrome-dipped Mugen MF10 wheels. Awesome that both of these guys got into Super Street and since they are always together, for them to be featured together as well…

Buddha Concept Designs did a fantastic job on this custom widebody S2000 featuring a Mugen SS front bumper. The rear flares look like they came that way but they were actually hand-crafted by Long at BCD. The front has been widened quite a bit as well to house the Volk ZE40s…

Here you get a better look at how the custom flare shapes into the ASM rear bumper. The S2000 also has a Mugen hard top and L.E.D. taillights from Car Shop Glow…

Bagged AP2 S2000 with a Voltex front bumper, front fender flares, rear wing, and white Volk CEs…

This Civic wasn’t nearly complete but its progress was on full display at the 2017 Eibach Honda Meet. Up front is a NBC Racing front bumper and front wide fenders, sides are PCI aluminum pieces, rear is being pulled to house wider wheels/tires…

…and the inside has been completely gutted so the chassis can be stitch-welded for better structural rigidity. The dashboard is gone with just the steering column held by the cage, along with a Sparco seat, and K-Tuned shifter…

Through the back windows you can see the custom cage and how it is welded to the body…

K-series swap in the engine bay with TWM Induction individual throttle bodies, All-In Fabrication oil breather, and full-sized radiator. Note how the shocker towers have been extended for better suspension travel up front…

Two Phoenix Yellow Integra Type Rs from Loi-Spec Garage on Volk Racing wheels…

…and Brian Hua’s Japanese ITR-faced DB8 Integra track sedan…

DB2 Integra GS-R with color-matched JDP front lip and old school SSR GP-Deltas…

DA Integra also running a JDP front lip, JDM one-piece headlights, Mugen rear wing, sides, and Blitz Type 01 wheels…

Sitting real low with this DA Integra on SSR Challenge Defi wheels…

Civic hatchback with J’s Racing front lip and front wide fenders. Under the hood is a B20B VTEC swap in a cleaned-up bay…

SYMPLE SPEED GARAGE’s Mugen Civic sedan with an interesting orange livery….

Charles San Gil’s GM LSX-powered widebody S2000 making over 550HP…

As the wind picked-up, some thought it a better idea to pack up and head-out just in-case things got too crazy…

Silver Civic coupe on white Regas wearing J’s Racing front fenders and SiR bumpers…

S2Jay representing my home town, San Diego, very well with his S2000…

Ballade Sports’ K24-swapped Spoon Sports-equipped S2000…

Hasport’s DA Integra time attack vehicle…

DPK Chuy’s Super Street-featured Integra Type R before he mounted his new Mugen MF10 wheels and Exceed front lip…

Hard-top S2000 with Voltex rear wing and Powerhouse Amuse front bumper…

One more of Fat Kid’s 8-second turbocharged Integra…

…and we end things here with this Acura TSX Wagon, equipped with Mugen front grille, front lip, and new Volk Racing CE28SL…

That’s a wrap on the Eibach Honda Meet 2017 coverage. The full-story on the history of this great event series coming real soon to The Epilogues, stay tuned!…
