No Good Racing Night Meet 2021 Coverage…

Seems like Yasu has been out and about quite a bit lately, regularly attending shows and meets in his area. I don’t know if it is necessarily the best idea being that the number of cases haven’t really gone done much, if at all, lately in Osaka but he’s being careful and selective of who he hangs out with. I honestly feel like he’s just getting a little bored being at the shop every day and going a little stir crazy so he wants to be outside again. The last year and a half has probably felt a little odd for him since he’s usually either in the U.S. hanging out with us or we’re over there in Osaka with him. Hopefully in the next few months or so things get better and he’ll be able to return in time for the Wekfest tour to start here in America. He recently attended a night meet hosted by our friends from NO GOOD RACING and asked me if I wanted photos. Of course I’m always down for Japan content so I asked him to shoot some stuff. He mentioned that the meet was happening in a brand new parking area which was just recently completed and that sounded exciting since the night meets we go to are normally poorly-lit. There wasn’t a specific reason behind the meet happening, I think everyone just wanted to do car stuff and wanted to not think about the pandemic so they hosted a gathering. Here are the photos from that evening, captured by Yasu Shimomukai from Exceed Japan. Enjoy!!…

The K-Powered Spoon Fit We Never Knew We Needed……CHRNCLS Vlog 2020 #20

I’d be the first one to tell you that we don’t highlight very many Honda Fits on this channel, but this one is a special one. We first spotted Esteban Gonzalez’s K-powered Honda Fit at our Chronicles and Coffee gathering a few months back. I was highly impressed with the collection of parts that it had, as well as the amount of work that went into it , that I knew it would be an ideal choice to have on an episode of our “Drive-By” series. Coincidentally enough, Esteban watched our first episode and was intrigued by our friend Ken Suen and his Civic. He needed some custom fabrication work done to his car so he contacted Ken and the Fit went over to him not long after the meet. I asked Esteban if he was interested in bringing his Spoon Fit by when the car was ready and he was more than happy to let us dig into it. Since Ken had become so familiar with the car, I asked him to stop by when we were filming as well so he could provide some of his own insight and also detail the work he put into it.

Major Updates On My IS300 Wagon Plus Chronicles & Coffee!!…CHRNCLS Vlog 2020 #18

Parts are starting to pile up at the shop for our project cars and we have some major updates on my IS300 wagon build! Phil and Kristian also stop by to hang out while Yuta is begins work on his DC5 RSX “Fun Car” and then we take you to one of the first big events for us out here in Los Angeles; the return of Chronicles & Coffee for the first time in 2020. I really wish I would have filmed more during the meet but it got WAY too hectic and I found myself trying to organize more than I was able to shoot!

Nostalgic 2Days 2020 Coverage…

With all that’s been going on, these photos almost seem as if they were shot ages ago but it’s only been about a month since I returned from Japan. I honestly do miss Japan very much right now but with this pandemic not seemingly slowing down any time soon, it doesn’t look like another trip …

Attack Tsukuba 2020 Coverage… Part 4…

Well, this is it! These are the last batch of photos from our adventure at Tsukuba Circuit for Attack. I didn’t even expect to take so many photos, or have that many photos come out good for that matter, but when I got home and transferred them to my computer, I realized that it was …

Attack Tsukuba 2020 Coverage… Part 3…

This year’s Attack Tsukuba event was a different one for me. The main difference was having Der with me to experience Attack but the second major change was the fact that I actually walked around the track this year. In 2019, I was actually on assignment at TC2000 doing some work for Vibrant Performance and …

Attack Tsukuba 2020 Coverage… Part 2…

Well, things don’t look to be getting any better any time soon but it’s a good thing I still have all kinds of photos to show you. I imagine now would be as good a time as ever to post content on the site with everyone stuck at home and all so let’s dive right …

Attack Tsukuba 2020 Coverage… Part 1…

And now…we finally can dive into the photos from one of my favorite events of the year; Attack Tsukuba. I know I don’t cover time attack or motorsports in general all that much, but I love Japanese car culture and Attack exudes all that I thoroughly enjoy about it. I went for the first time …
