Seems like Yasu has been out and about quite a bit lately, regularly attending shows and meets in his area. I don’t know if it is necessarily the best idea being that the number of cases haven’t really gone done much, if at all, lately in Osaka but he’s being careful and selective of who he hangs out with. I honestly feel like he’s just getting a little bored being at the shop every day and going a little stir crazy so he wants to be outside again. The last year and a half has probably felt a little odd for him since he’s usually either in the U.S. hanging out with us or we’re over there in Osaka with him. Hopefully in the next few months or so things get better and he’ll be able to return in time for the Wekfest tour to start here in America. He recently attended a night meet hosted by our friends from NO GOOD RACING and asked me if I wanted photos. Of course I’m always down for Japan content so I asked him to shoot some stuff. He mentioned that the meet was happening in a brand new parking area which was just recently completed and that sounded exciting since the night meets we go to are normally poorly-lit. There wasn’t a specific reason behind the meet happening, I think everyone just wanted to do car stuff and wanted to not think about the pandemic so they hosted a gathering. Here are the photos from that evening, captured by Yasu Shimomukai from Exceed Japan. Enjoy!!…
The current generation of NGR Civics are a bit cleaner than in year’s past with many featuring full paint jobs now or detailed, modern, liveries…
Supporters of NO GOOD RACING lining-up to purchase some merchandise at the night meet…
Nice turn-out at this brightly-lit brand-new parking area in Osaka, Japan…
This EK hatchback featured some bright neon-colored accents, including the lower half of his Exceed by Mode Parfume front lip…
The Shine Motor EF9 with its BP-inspired livery looking good as usual on Regamaster EVO wheels…
NO GOOD RACING black EK4 which sees regular track days but was once a fully Mugen-equipped show car…
In my opinion, currently likely the cleanest Civic of the NGR line-up is Gun.498’s Red Bull-adorned build featuring a Mugen SS front lip…
Kakeru’s EG6 which was fully-repainted in Milano Red by Yasu from Exceed…
T. Ryuji’s “Blue Shark” EG6 with its front-staggered Volk TE37V set-up…
The original “Red Shark” EG6 still wearing the full Red Bull livery that it has had over the last couple of years. I hear this thing should be going over a drastic make-over soon…
Yuma’s Idemitsu Motion-themed EG6 Civic…
Simple black EG Civic with just a single red Bride seat inside…
Yasu’s EK9 CTR just has so much presence with the 17×9 TE37 wheels up front and Mode Parfume front wide fenders. The addition of the fenders, the bumper add-ons, and the Exceed front lip just make the car look so aggressive…
EG from Horns & Co. featuring a Mode Parfume front bumper and Volk TE37V SL wheels…
When you think of a traditional Osaka-area Civic build, this is likely what you’d come up with in terms of livery design and simple parts selection…
Nice grouping of Hondas at this meet, mostly Civics but there are some Integras that popped-up…
This Integra from Prize Racing had a rarely-seen Safety21 front bumper on it…
Black EG Civic hosting an Exceed by Mode Parfume front lip and Volk TE37 Sonics…
This burgundy-hued EK looked really good and resembled something you’d see over here in California…
Another look you’d associate with a Kansai-area Civic build; a vented hood, SSR Type-X wheels, safety net on the window, and some mismatched panels…
I’m not exactly sure what happened, maybe they were asked to leave the parking area or the meet simply ended but the NO GOOD RACING members rounded-up the troops and set off to a different location to meet…
These actually turned-out to be some of the best photos from this set shot by Yasu…
The lighting all around just gave the photos this soft glow which made the cars look pretty cool…
Hopefully when I get the opportunity to go back we’ll be able to host a little gathering at this location again…
They eventually moved over to an older parking area which was in a different part of the city where we had also hosted meets before over the last few years…
This is a regular location for meets in this region so it should look pretty familiar to you guys who have followed me and my Japan trips…
Of course the police showed-up once again but this is pretty normal for car meets out there. They don’t usually do anything and just sort of ‘monitor’ what’s going on…
Nights like these are what makes me enjoy the nuances of Osaka…
Not too many photos from this set but cool to see nonetheless. That’s all for today everyone, thanks for looking!!…
Always nice to see the community still holding it down. Thank you to the Chronicles, Yasu, and the rest of the Osaka family. Please be safe everyone.
So sic. 🤘🔥😎🔥🤘
I’m glad that they keeping on this nice culture.
