The U.S. debut of the first Voltex Widebody GR86 and Exceed Japan FL5 Civic Type R…

After landing back at home in California, Yasu and I show up with a bunch of parts and only a few days to help complete the USA’s first Voltex Street Version II widebody GR86. Kristian and Jay had been hard at work on the GR86 over the last few months but I had been in Asia so even I had no idea how the car would look. Before I left, the car was literally in pieces. I was excited to see how much the car had changed and boy was I surprised but how far along the car was. We had enough time to even work on my FL5 Civic Type R! Since we had brought the brand new Exceed aero kit for the Type R back from Osaka with us, we immediately had to throw it on to see how it looked in completed form. Good thing I already had wheels waiting to be installed and a meaty set of Yokohama ADVAN tires…

Attacking The Streets Of Long Beach In A Civic Type R… CHRNCLS Vlog 2021 #18

We went to the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach this past weekend to support friends and see some racing. What makes this racing event so unique is that it takes place literally on the streets of Long Beach, California. Originally I had planned to go so that I could document Amir Bentatou’s RS Future K-series turbo NSX. A few friends were competing for Global Time Attack’s portion of the event for the first time but he unfortunately ran into some engine issues the day prior. With tickets and time already set aside to go to Long Beach, I went and sought out a perfect candidate to be our substitute; Jose Mejia’s Art of Attack Honda Civic Type R. I had always wanted to do some in-car footage of Jose’s FK8 on the track but it just never happened—Until now.

GReddy GPP Live 2020 Event Coverage…

There’s no SEMA event this year due to the ongoing “situation” we’re all going through, but I don’t know if I really miss it or not. On one hand, I do enjoy being in Las Vegas. Meeting up with industry friends is always nice and eating/drinking an insane amount throughout the week always makes things interesting. On the flip side, I don’t miss the crowds, the transportation to and from the show is always a bit of a headache, and to put it simply, I kind of enjoy saving money for other stuff. It’s funny because most of us who have been in the industry for some time now always bitch about not wanting to go to SEMA, but then we always end-up going and kinda having a good time. It’s a lot of work but it has its quirks that make life interesting enough where we do look forward to heading back to Vegas annually…
