We never really intended to make “Carchella” a real ‘thing’. It started off as kind of a joke and since Coachella really was going on, it just made sense to get people together to hang out. There hasn’t been much going on so it was just a fun thing to do to host a little car meet at the shop. Carchella turned-out to be a lot of fun and I had a couple people asking me to do a second meet the following weekend, just like how Coachella does a 2nd weekend of performances with new musical acts. A few days after the meet, Yuta hit me up to tell me he was coming home to visit for the weekend so everything sort of fell into place to do Weekend 2 of Carchella. I didn’t even tell Yuta I was going to do it and just threw his name on my mock Coachella flyer. We really didn’t know what to expect throwing a car meet two weekends in a row, at the same location, with possibly the same cars, but the second was just as great—if not better. See for yourself…
