Japanese Classic Car Show 2010 Coverage…Part 2…

Here we go, back with more coverage of JCCS 2010. This will probably be the portion of the coverage where we see the most 510 stuff. Just the way these guys are putting their bays together now…amazing stuff. A lot of similar styling to Hondas guys currently too, with the beauty washers and other little intricate details. I know the pics have been resized so that they fit into this layout of the site but definitely try to take a closer look at the engine bays…

Not really sure what Rywire was looking at here but whatever it is, he made his jaw drop…

Crazy amount of fabrication work. Chassis has been all cut up and is basically a tube-framed chassis now…

I see this truck every year at JCCS and it’s every bit as immaculate as the day I first saw it…

I took a pic of this bay because it was clean and because it was also sporting this really small turbo that I saw on a couple other Datsuns….

Check out the dash and the APEX’i PowerFC….crazy…

This Mazda RX-4 built by Ranz Motorsports definitely was one of the show stealers of the event….2JZ-GE IS300 swap which has been boosted…

Custom fitted IS300 dashboard which gives this RX-4 like an interior modern feel…

Closer look at the IS300 cluster…

Rear flare…

Custom fuel set-up with a fuel cell sitting in the trunk…

Shots of the rear quarter…This thing is crazy and it has to be seen in person to truly be appreciated. It’s a crazy mix of modern technology with a classic, rare vehicle. A lot of rotary guys out there may be screaming bloody murder because of the Toyota engine swap but who cares…

A couple of Boso-themed wagons…first one on the SSR Starsharks and other on Longchamps…

Gonna close it out for today with Mark Arcenal’s Hakosuka Skyline. You may know him from Fatlace and all those Illest stickers, HellaFlush, etc. The man is doing it and has been on the grind for years now. Happy to see that he picked up a Hakosuka and is adding his own personal flare to it. If that man knows anything, it’s style and his Skyline represents that…

TE37V wheels look good on everything but it’s looks like it BELONGS on a Hakosuka…

Notice the “FTL-C” (Fatlace) sticker, which is an ode to look of the PMC-S or “Prince Motor Club Sports” logo that was present on many Hakosuka race cars of that era….Cool stuff…

That’s all for today…Gonna wrap up the coverage tomorrow with part 3 of the JCCS 2010 coverage. It was a cool show…stay tuned…
