One more Wek…

It’s crazy to think that one week from today, most of us will already be in San Francisco for the annual Wekfest event. We are all anxious to get up there so that we can experience this event but a lot of us have so much going on, whether it be getting cars finished or in my case, just getting product ready for the booth. What’s special about this year’s Wekfest is that it marks the first time that it’s at a completely new location. We sort of overstayed our welcome I think in previous years and it’s been getting harder and harder to get all those cars crammed in there with ample space for the loads and loads of spectators to walk around. Though this new layout may hold a smaller amount of cars, the layout is completely different. It’s no longer a parking structure turned into a car show.

The Fort Mason building used to be a military port but was converted into a cultural center in 1972. Now it is used to hold events and will now be the home of Wekfest. J-Town was nice but the thought of having the show right by the waterfront is really cool. The layout is much better and the surrounding areas around it are also much more free and non-constricting.

The front area outside of the building will have space for a number of cars to be displayed outside…

…and the inside looks to be much brighter, making it easier for photographers to capture photos of the cars and the stuff going on inside. In previous years, the parking structure has been dark and it was difficult to capture good photos without having additional lighting and other equipment to carry around. With the limited space available as it was, walking around and trying to get good pics with a thousands of people walking through while carrying equipment was a chore…

Here’s a look at how the cars could be potentially lined-up inside. As I stated earlier, it actually holds a smaller number of cars than years past but all the cars inside the event have been screened to ensure that spectators and enthusiasts see the best of the best. There will also be an area devoted specifically to vendors as well so they will be easier to locate and not scattered throughout the show. I think the official models of the event are Christine Mendoza and Genevieve Chanelle. I think I butchered the last girl’s name, but that’s okay, haha…

I think I’ve provided enough info for you guys. Most of you should probably know plenty about it already because well, it’s already one week before. If you guys have anything you need to ask, feel free to bug the guys over at Wek’Sos because I’m sure they haven’t heard enough questions about the event as it is. They’re probably not doing anything either and just doing laps in a pool full of $100 bills, haha. Seriously though, if you guys want to look at more info on the event and want to take a look at the full list of cars that are attending, please feel free to head over to the official Wekfest page.

See you guys there if you plan on making the trek out there. I’m pretty sure you should get there early though because the line will be absolutely ridiculous. And as for coverage, expect to see the same coverage you guys have all seen in the past, which is basically 75% us doing random bullshit, and 25% mildly crappy car pictures. And like 15% on models. That of course, adds up to 115% which makes no sense.

Oh, one more thing…Yes, it will most likely be raining. Will it have a dramatic effect on the event? Nope. Should you bring an umbrella if you plan on standing in line and waiting to get into the show? Yep. And if you plan on bringing your girlfriend who is aspiring to be an “import model” and she wants to dress especially hoochie’d out that day, just buy her one of those transparent plastic rain ponchos. That way she didn’t get dressed up for nothing and other dudes can still stare at her. Show her how much you fully support her decision to be a model by purchasing a see-through poncho…

Just imagine the possibilities…she can go all nude if she wanted to and still have that “implied nude” look. I shall call it, “The KT-So Look”…except the poncho will cover-up her asshole and not like the photographers who “forgot” to Photoshop her’s out. You know how many times I’ve seen her face? Uhh…like 6 times. How many times have I seen her butthole? Umm, like 47…I’ve seen it so many times, her butthole and I are like this…

Haha, anyways, see you all there…
