Catch-up Week…Photos from Super Lap Battle 2011 Finals…


Many of you who follow time attack closely have probably seen these already or have heard the results, but for the more casual enthusiast, this might be news. It’s rare that I ever run into a back-log of posts and actually have too much content, but with SEMA and the VIP Festival coverage, we are playing catch-up. I didn’t actually get the opportunity to go to the 2011 Super Lap Battle Finals, but Loi from Sportcar Motion was nice enough to take some photos for me and give them over so I could show all of you. Sportcar Motion has had a pretty good year so far and they closed it out in consistent fashion by winning the Limited FF Class and along the way, also posting a new record in that class. I’ve posted the full results at the bottom but enjoy the photos from Loi Song before you jump to the end…Enjoy and congrats to all the winners…

Driver-extraordinaire and future doctor Tim Kuo piloted the Sportcar Motion Integra Type R to a class record 1:54.789….

Evasive Motorsports and their Mitsubishi EVO 9 won the Limited AWD class…

WORLD Racing and Chris Rado won the Unlimited FF class with their Scion tC…

The biggest news of the day came from FX Motorsports and their Acura NSX which not only won the Unlimited FR class, but also broke the overall record by recording a 1:40.981 lap time…

The Gates 311 EVO X finished just a  little over a second slower than the class-winning EVO 9 from Evasive…

BMW 1-series from Berk Technology won the Limited FR class…

Rare to see an S14 chassis utilized as a time attack vehicle…this ’96 240SX is from Spec Clutch…

  1. Those are great speed shots. These car models are tuners and the decals look amazing. Now I want to look under the hood and be surprised.
