What’s up guys…I got one more set of photos from WEKEAST today from guest photographer Raymond Leung . It’s currently 2:16am Saturday and I’m in a hotel room in Norcal using their internet so I don’t know how smoothly this is actually gonna go but I’ll attempt it. There hasn’t been an update in the last couple of days because I’ve been trying to figure out what’s wrong with the archives section of the site, as well as working on the Year.IV event and a bunch of other things in regular life. Autogallery is going on today down in Huntington Beach so be sure to check that event out if you guys are in Socal. It’ll be one of the more memorable events of the year I’m sure. The format is completely new and the entire show is held by the beach so it will give you guys a chance to hang out by the water during this crazy heatwave we’ve been having…
I’m up in Norcal right now on some personal business as well as to attend my friend Sunny’s new autobody shop’s grand opening. You knew him as the guy behind Franklin Autobody before but now he’s decided to move on and start something entirely new. Sunny has always been a good friend to me so it was important that I make the trip up here to be a part of his big day. I really didn’t want to miss Autogallery but it was one of those things where I’d be fucked either way by missing one of them so I found someone to cover Autogallery for me so that I could be up here in Norcal. It’s about as close as it’s gonna get to being in two places at once…There is just a lot going on in the community right now, which is a great thing, but not enough time to be everywhere to see everything… I’m sure Autogallery will be great though so I’m happy that I got someone to cover it for me. I’d really like to be there to do coverage myself, since Jimmy and the Praxis guys are good friends of mine but eh…you know how it goes…I’m sure Jimmy understands…
Anyways, here are some photos for you guys to look at from WEKEAST as seen through the eyes of our guest photographer, Raymond Leung, from JDM Chicago…. I’ve attached links to the previous three parts if you guys missed any of it…
Here we go with part 4…
Loved this Lexus SC430 on gunmetal Work Meister S1s…
Notice the custom rear flare and vent on the rear quarter…
Kam Vaswani’s Junction Produce GS400…
Jan Villanos’ GS430 from Liberty VIP on coilovers and 18-inch Work Ryvers…
Zeb Magsi’s 2JZ-swapped GS…
Always liked how good the TTE front lips looked on the 2GS’s…This is another 2GS from Liberty VIP, owned by Rob Defillipo, on Luxury Abstract Chaos wheels…
Dark blue UCF30 Lexus LS on Work Equips…
Gee Merino’s GS300 on 18-inch Luxury Abstract Hybrid Solis wheels…
Another shot of Gene Siepka’s Powerhouse Amuse-kitted 370Z…
Chris Simek’s 2GS sitting on another set of Luxury Abstract wheels, these known as the “Admiror Limited”…
This SC430, owned by William Chau from Liberty VIP, had to have been one of the most talked about builds from WEKEAST…
Red S2K on copper CCWs…
Vincent Deluca’s Z32 300ZX on VIP Modular wheels…
…And one of the cleanest Z bays ever executed…
Wingless Evo X from Xclusive Alliance on Rotiform TMBs…
WEKEAST provided an outlet for some interesting builds to be on display…
Roy Rivera’s VIP-themed Toyota Previa build from Wagon Lifestyles…can’t help but think of Jimmy from Team Praxis’ old Previa build every time I see a pic of this car…same color and everything…
Julio Bichao’s Civic Wagon, Donald James’ Odyssey, and Roy’s Previa…
Love this Odyssey van and it’s probably one of my favorite stateside van builds…
Don’t post too many Scion xBs on this site these days but this one looked clean on Work VS wheels…
After the event it looked like a bunch of the show participants went out to chill and take some photos with their cars…
Three wheel motion in Sergey’s MR-2…
The craziest part about WEKEAST was how they cruised through Times Square and how all these dudes were just down to be in the middle of the street getting photos of the cars as they drove by… It’s a cool site to see with how much is going on in the background and how busy Times Square is on any given day…
This guy got a nice snap of Raymond’s Evo X while he waited at a stop light…
I thought this iridescent-toned 2nd gen. Scion looked pretty good…
Loved this shot that Raymond caught of the Odyssey posted up with the street lights and city in the backdrop…
LED puddle lights lighting up the night on Donald James’ Odyssey…
Rob from Vraceworks’ black coupe on BBS wheels and Air Walker front bumper…
Raymond made sure to get a shot of his own Evo X with the bridge lit up in the distance…
One more shot of Sergey’s MR-2 posted up on the street. He actually sent me a link to a write-up he did on why he was messing with his fenders and painting and what not the day or so leading up to WEKEAST…Pretty interesting stuff… Click here if you wanna take a couple moments to check that out…
That’s pretty much a wrap for me for now… hope you guys enjoyed the photos and thanks to Raymond Leung for taking the time to snap these photos and provide them for me…
The meet was actually held saturday night by sntrl.com, called the Pre-Game.
SICK. Love the site.
Roy Rivera is a sociopath who only enters vans because of the lack of competition.
