Seems like the general reaction to yesterday’s coverage of the HIK 2013 show was overwhelmingly positive, so why not just go ahead and dive into the rest of the set?…
There really isn’t much left to say that hasn’t been covered already in yesterday’s post, but if you happened to have missed the update, here is the link below. Once you get through those it’ll all make a lot more sense….
HIK 2013 Odaiba Japan Coverage…Part 1…
Like yesterday, you’ll see a lot of variety in terms of style and vehicle makes. That’s what made the Hot Import Kenoh event so interesting…
All photos were shot by Shota Mori and then processed by me (StickyDilJoe)…
Widebody Porsche 993 GT2 911 on Barramundi Design Fogo wheels…
Rauh Welt Begriff 993…
A more subtle stock-bodied Porsche 997…
HIK also played host to Honda Zoomer/Ruckus enthusiasts as well…
Really liked this capture by Shota Mori of the owners and their Zoomers…
This Zoomer/Ruckus has had its frame lengthened and slammed to the pavement. Pretty sick set-up…
I believe this Porsche 993 belongs to Noriaki Miyamoto, the owner of Barramundi Design wheels and Common Snapper… This 911 is also on BMD Fogo wheels…
This matte cream/tan/coffee colored Z33 Fairlady was looking pretty good…
Does anyone remember this SW20 Toyota MR-2 from back in the day? It was featured in Modified magazine back in like, 2005-06 or maybe even before that but it’s crazy to still see it around in the same condition. The shop that built it was called “Skills” and they do all kinds of custom fabrication and audio stuff. This SW20 was really nutty for its time and even by today’s standards it is still pretty wild…
Two different generations of Honda Integras in attendance at Hot Import Kenoh…
Yuji Yoshida’s EK9 Civic Type R on rarely-used Buddy Club II Plus wheels…
Mayu Chi’s EK Civic…
Takeshi and Type_K Autosource was well represented at HIK, as seen in this Wek’Sos/Type_K collaborative decal to commemorate his “Kday Season 2” event last year…
We see a ton of them here but it’s not too often that you encounter some Si-VTEC bug-eye front ends on Integras over there…
The Toyota Altezza that was seen in yesterday’s post on custom orange BBS LM wheels…
Honda Integra DC5 Type R in display at the Barramundi Design booth featuring their newest “Raycod” wheel…
I’m actually helping BMD develop their U.S. site here for one of their distributors and it should be up in a week or so. Just some fine-tuning and content that needs to be added and then you guys will have full access to everything you need to know about Barramundi Design wheels…
AP1 S2000 on Volk TE37SL…
One more shot of the hammered B5 Legacy from yesterday…
DB8 Integra sedan on purple Sprint Hart CP…
Marga Hills NA1 NSX with 18/19-inch staggered Volk TE37 wheels…
Track-bred NA1 NSX wearing Burn-Up aero…
Loved this shot of Koji Yonekawa’s EM1-styled Civic coupe with the building in the distance…
Koji mounting his front plate back on to his coupe as they got ready to leave…
Katsumi Watanbe’s Honda Integra Type R track warrior….
The Burn-Up NSX taking off…
Mori and the rest of his group leaving the HIK event. The rest of the photos below are just some rolling shots that Shota Mori took on the drive back home…
A couple of Yuki Kuroda’s FG2 coupe…
I think this was a completely random encounter on their drive back but here are some shots of a slammed Subaru Impreza wagon…
Not sure if you guys dig the whole stanced all-wheel drive Subaru look but it’s pretty cool, I gotta admit. Looks good on the Advan Racing Model 5 wheels…
Rarely see the GC-chassis wagons modded at all when you come to think about it. I know the wagons were called the Outback here but I think in Japan, they had these turbocharged versions and they were called the Gravel Express or something odd like that…
Rear shot of the wagon/Outback/Gravel Express/Etc….
A photo of Yonekawa and Kuroda’s coupes together at a rest spot…
One of my favorite shots from Shota Mori to date is this shot of Kuroda’s Civic. I really like how the photo came out with the traffic in the distance and Kuroda’s expression as he’s driving. I liked it so much that I made it into my current desktop image. If you guys want it, I’ve attached it below, just click on the image for the full size photo. It’s fucking huge (2560×1600) so be prepared…

This shot of Yonekawa’s Civic is another cool shot because, as I’ve explained, they don’t have EM1 coupes over there so this is a cool shot of an EM1 (conversion) on Japanese roadways. I’ve also turned this one into a 2560×1600 desktop image as well…

Well that’s a wrap on the HIK coverage. Hope you guys enjoyed it. Thanks for looking!…
Man I’ve always loved your photos / coverage!
Are you on Flickr/have a group on there?
Love that SW20!
