Welcome back to Part 2 of 2 of The Chronicles’ coverage of Autocon LA 2013. Today we’re gonna be taking a look at the rest of the photos that I captured that day from the event and towards the end, you’re gonna see the more personal side of the event with some shots of some friends that were hanging out at the It’s JDM Yo!!/The Chronicles booth that day…
I gave a pretty detailed description of the Autocon event yesterday but if you guys would like to hear more about it, I invite you to check out the latest episode of “No One Likes The Tuna” Episode 4. NOLTT is a show that Tony from It’s JDM Yo!! has put together recently just for fun and included me, DPK David, and Brian from Auto Concept as the hosts. If you’ve seen the previous episodes, you know the show is still very raw but we are trying to make improvements every time. In the latest episode, we recap the Eibach Honda Meet, Wekfest LA, and Autocon LA 2013. Brian wasn’t able to make it to the filming of this particular episode so we have guest host Xena Kai in his absence. I’m sure many of you guys know Xena Kai by the original name I came up for her, Titla McBoob. Honestly, it was a little fucked up for me to call her that because she’s actually very nice and does a great job on the show. She’s a good sport about it though and knows that I used to call her that. If anything it helped her gain some more exposure back then but now she’s a regular in the car show industry so it’s only right for me to refer to her by the appropriate name, haha. If you guys are at all interested in the show, I’ve attached the videos below before the start of Part 2 of the Autocon LA coverage….

Autocon Los Angeles 2013 Coverage…Part 1…
Here is the latest three-part episode of “No One Likes the Tuna”…Pardon the sound issues, our sound guy fucked up and is now FIRED…
…And here is the second and concluding portion of the Autocon LA 2013 coverage…
Autocon LA marked the official car show return of the Phaze2 Integra. As most of you will know by now, HeyMikeyyyy sold this car a couple years ago and it actually changed hands to different owners in that time. Mikeyyyy missed the car so much that went on a search for it and found the car and its current owner. He bought the car back and is now slowly putting it back to the way he wants it while also making new additions to it. Oddly enough, the car was still in very good condition and didn’t look too far off from how Mikeyyyy left it when he originally sold it. The engine bay was intact, turbo stuff still there, and the motor still ran great from what Mikeyyyy tells me. The exterior was never in perfect condition but there weren’t too many changes to it other than age. It sounds unbelievable but you can see it with your very own eyes here and see that it still looks just about the same as it did when it was a regular in the Honda community. Stuff like this you can’t even make up. It just makes for a great story and I’m happy to see HeyMikeyyyy reunited with his Integra…
If bringing out the Integra wasn’t enough, Mikeyyyy also brought out his Scion xB, a car that he’s had even before he bought his Integra back in the day. He still has that and now has an LS430 project that he is slowly building…
Phaze2 Mizzark’s BMW M5 on Leon Hardiritt Ordens…
Autocon also marked the debut of Armand Pranadi’s new wheel set-up on his “Devil” SW20 MR-2. Like it or hate it, Armand is always pushing the limits and running the most aggressive wheels on his widebody MR-2. It’s not my style personally but I give him props for doing what he does. I just always joke around with him because his wing is always missing the center piece. He calls them the devil’s horns but I call it a Corolla wing without the center, haha. The custom Blitz Technospeed Z1 wheels are incredibly aggressive and I think they will look pretty crazy on the car once he gets them redone in a better finish. It’s rare to see Technospeed Z1 wheels at all these days let alone rebuilt ones in this style…
Scion FR-S at the Drive Energy drink booth on bronze Work Emotion XD9s and a lip kit from MV Designz…

Hyundai Genesis coupes were quite popular at Autocon LA. This one on concave Rotiform BLQ…
One of my favorites by far at Autocon LA was the IND BMW M5… I hadn’t seen this thing since the SEMA show last year but our buddy Slow Kuruma brought the BMW out for display and we finally got a better look at the subtle details of the build…
Another favorite of mine was this beautifully-done Datsun S30Z… Love the wheel selection and the flat bronze finish on the Work Equips…
The coolest thing about the S30Z has to be this old school HKS turbo kit on the Nissan L-series engine. The HKS “Surge Tank” that you are looking at here serves as the intake plenum for the boosted L-motor…
Just an incredibly well-done build. Hopefully he got rewarded for his efforts because this is definitely a winner in my book…
Maybe the owner of this S2000 overshot his wheel fitment a little bit, as the Volk TE37SLs do not look like they fit at all. Maybe with the addition of flares later would help to make the wheels look more suitable but for now, it just looks odd…
Bad-ass FA5 Civic to FD2 Civic Type R conversion. Looks really good with the Hyper Blue Volk TE37SLs…
…especially when paired with these FEEL’s Twin Cam widened FD2 front fenders…
Lexus IS on 3-piece Work Meister S1…
A 2nd gen. Lexus IS on HRE wheels…
Jordan Mo’s IS300 with rare HKS aero kit and Work VS-TX wheels…
Daniel Leung’s wheel gap-impaired Subaru WRX STI on Volk RE30s…
FG2 Civic coupe on custom BBS LM wheels…
WTCC-inspired BMW prepared by LTMotorwerks…
Bagged Lexus IS on WED’s Kranze LXZ…
BMW E46 M3 with some Vintage Series wheels from HRE…
I walked over to check out another Liberty Walk M3 and Jeri Lee had just walked-up to pose for some photos in front of it. I didn’t want to get in the way so I just captured my own snaps and moved right along. For what it’s worth, the final product came out pretty cool with Jeri and all…
FYI, this was the crowd that was around Jeri and the Liberty Walk E92…
A good look at the side and rear of the Liberty Walk BMW coupe… Like the Rocket Bunny FR-S kit, I’m sure this will be a hit and we will be seeing these popping-up everywhere for the rest of 2013…
Another LTMW WTCC-kitted E90 BMW sedan, this one on anodized blue CCW Classic wheels…
Courtney Wingfield’s BMW F30 with custom LTMW front bumper on SSR Professor SP1…
John Zhang aka 1013MM’s BMW 1-Series coupe…
MFest E60 M5 aka “Project Sabine”…
Jesse Sabater’s R35 GTR on SSR Executor CV01…
This Honda K-swapped Mini pick-up was one of the more unique vehicles in attendance at Autocon LA…
Rocket Bunny FR-S from FAST Autoworks…
Yet another favorite of mine from Autocon was this yellow TE20-series Corolla on Panasport wheels…
Matte orange SW20 MR-2 on white-faced Meister S1…
Jason Lee’s Civic SI track-prepped build with FD2 CTR conversion…
Allan Catap’s MR-2 Turbo on classic Advan Racing RG in gold…
A duo of Integras from Loi Spec Garage…
TE27 Corolla Levin on TRD Tosco wheels…
Grey Rocket Bunny FR-S that you saw from the Wekfest LA coverage…
One of the few true Japanese VIP-themed 2GS builds that holds true to the original VIP style here in the states. You could transport this GS to Japan and it would fit right in…

Luigi Arroyo’s S2000 that has since begun the part-out process…
Xena Kai and Sally for Stance Wheels…
White R35 GTR on Advan Racing wheels…
One more of the Ferrari F430 Scuderia from Part 1 since it was so close to the booth…
Speaking of our booth, here is what our set-up looked like at Autocon ’13…Everyone was hiding out there all day to get away from the harsh sunlight…
Michael Mao wearing some It’s JDM Yo!! sunglasses…
Big Mike, Mickee, and Ryan Der talked NBA Playoffs…
Ryan doesn’t watch basketball so he was not amused…
Paul from Spocom after an afternoon out in the heat…
Tony and Chris Ratawessnant aka “Jeri Lee’s Alternate Universe Boyfriend” looking at something perverted….
My buddy and co-star on “No One Likes The Tuna”, Brian Filoteo, who is also a freelance photographer…
…And to put an end to the Autocon coverage, a couple shots of some San Jose, CA natives, model Jenn Q and Ryan Basseri of Rywire. That’s a wrap everyone. Thanks for looking and I hope you enjoyed the photos…
Love the coverage & great pictures Joey!!
Thanks for posting a photo of my 73 TE27 roadrace car. Damn it was so hot that day!
