The Chronicles Vlog #7 (Part 4): Random Night Meet And The Journey To Wekfest Japan…

Part 4 is a really interesting piece filled with tons of Japanese car culture content. After Part 3 concluded, we were set to embark on our journey to Wekfest Japan, located in Nagoya. We had planned to get some rest before leaving, but there was a couple of local meets in Osaka that were happening that we just did not want to miss out on. Osaka car culture is alive and well and we wanted to make sure to witness some of it before the show. It didn’t leave us with a whole lot of time to rest, but sometimes you just have to make sacrifices to see stuff that most enthusiasts in the world would not be able to. After the meet, we went back to the hotel and changed before hoping onto a random van to make the trek to Nagoya for Wekfest. At Wekfest, we meet some of the major faces behind the show and you get to meet some of the participants of the show who also made the trip to display their builds…

Below is Episode 7, Part 4 of the Vlog with some photos that I captured during the evening of the night meet. Tomorrow I will be posting up Part 1 of the photo coverage from Wekfest Japan, enjoy…

My favorite build of the meet was this Y31 Cima. There are just some cars that appear out of nowhere that just capture all of your attention. For me, it was this build. I loved everything about it, the wheel fitment, bright red hue, ride height, just everything. These are the types of VIP builds that originally got me into the whole Japanse bippu scene and I’m glad there are still builds like these around. The new, wildly aggressive VIP builds just aren’t for me…

This Nissan Cedric is another build that really inspired me to get into the Japanese VIP community back in the day. Love these 90s Japanese builds….

Toyota Crown Majesta planted to the parking garage floor on Work Wheels. One of the rare builds you’ll see in Japan on air suspension as it is still quite popular to roll on static coilover set-ups….This car really stood out above the many builds present that evening…

That’s a wrap on that one! Thanks for looking and watching the video!!

The Chronicles Vlog #7 is a series of videos documenting my journey back to Japan in preparation for the annual Wekfest Japan event. I was asked to return to Japan a few days earlier than I had originally scheduled to help out the guys over at Tactical Art. They were finishing up some cars and preparing for the event and it was important that I be there early to help. I decided to document the entire thing so that you can see what goes on prior to WFJP as well as after. This is essentially every day life in Japan as we prepared for the big event.

*The beauty of these videos is that they are completely free and you are not forced to watch them. If you do not like what you see, simply close the window and move along with your life. No one is forcing you to watch them. Thanks.

For those who do enjoy them, I appreciate the support.

*I am not a videographer and this wasn’t meant to be a visual masterpiece of any sort. I am merely capturing bits and pieces of my life for you guys to see.

  4. Hi there! been following your blog and just recently your Vlogs for some time now. Good stuff man, I’m a fan of BTS vlogs. I had a question, since you attended WEKFEST japan, there was a White fastback s13 with a rocket bunny kit labeled “MAKE HIROTA” on the wing. Any chance you know what i’m talking about? 🙂 would love to know what kind of shoes he/she was running.

I hope you don’t stray away anytime soon. THANKs mang for all you.

  5. watermark is sick as stated above. Sticker of that would be too sick.
