Hope you guys had a chance to look through the first part of the SNTRL x Wekfest 2016 “Pregame” Cruise coverage. I really liked how those shots came out but the photos that I am really excited to post are the ones from the Times Square portion of the cruise, which you will see today. If you saw the Vlog already, you’ll know that the night didn’t exactly end-up how we all wanted, as one person took it upon themselves to ruin the night for many by doing burnouts and acting stupid right in the heart of Times Square. The guy who caused all the trouble actually got away without any issues while the convoy that just happened to follow behind him ended-up being stopped by the New York Police Department. All those guys actually got held up there for awhile as the Police took all their driver’s licenses away, preventing them from leaving while they were issued their tickets. I think, all in all, the night still went pretty well and the guys who got tickets didn’t really stress it too much. Everyone seemed to have a good time leading up to that point in the evening and we were all able to get some pretty great photos of the cars. Maybe it was worth the trouble to get some of these photos, haha, who knows. I love this part of the Wekfest East trip because we get to experience this type of stuff in such a beautiful part of the city. It is one of the reasons why I look forward to going back every year. There’s just something really exciting about flying across the country, getting off the plane, and being brought right into the epicenter of East Coast car culture with this cruise, hosted by the great guys at SNTRL..
Thanks once again to everyone who hosted, all who participated, and those were stuck around throughout the night to provide us with this great experience. Sorry to those who got ticketed but I’m sure we all understand that these things happen. Next time, hopefully these random douchebags don’t show up and ruin it for everyone. Enjoy the photos below and thanks for looking as always. This was the portion of the cruise where I was able to get more photos while doing video and Tiffanie jumped on board and killed it once again with the great shots…

Adam and his EK9 CTR was the first car that I saw pass through Times Square. Love the simplicity of keeping the Type R stock-bodied with just good ride height and a set of bronze 15×8 Volk TE37…
The Artisan Spirits Lexus RC coupe that you saw in both the Vlog and Part 1 of the cruise coverage…
A group of lowriders who weren’t a part of our cruise ended up passing through Times Square around the same time which helped to bring an even bigger crowd of onlookers…
Meanwhile, at the adjacent intersection, the red FC3S was passing through accompanied by NYPD…
Random strangers that stood with us at the corner of the street also captured their own footage of the cars rolling through…
The lowrider contingency even had the horse and carriage looking…
The coolest thing about the entire cruise through Times Square is that everyone seemed overjoyed to see all the cars and thought it was a planned spectacle for the area to attract tourists…
No better example of cars bringing people together than this shot right above…
How often do you get to see a Mugen DC2R rolling through Times Square?…
Following closely behind Shyam’s R was this USDM 98-spec Type R with Mugen Gen. 1 rear spoiler and bronze TEs…
The convoy of cars soon brought some unnecessary attention when an Audi who wasn’t even a part of the group did a burnout to the ire of New York Police…
The group was spread out so while the cops were busy chatting with some of the guys, others were still driving through with no issues…
Lovely seeing this R34 Skyline V-Spec II in the heart of NYC…
Looks almost a little like they’re cruising through the busy Shibuya-area of Tokyo, Japan…
The yellow and lime green NA2 NSXs brought even more color to an otherwise brightly-lit section of the city…
Spa Yellow NA2 NSX on black Spoon SW388 is quite a combo…
Chris Kane’s custom widebody NSX drew the attention of both Tiffanie and my camera the entire night…
Albert Saavedra Jr. spent most of his night in Times Square with the local authorities…
RX-8 and E36 M3 driving through….
Crazy to see so many FD RX-7s out on the East Coast. They were everywhere…
Do you think he’s A. Stopping by to get a hot dog or B. Getting pulled over and being asked to give his driver’s license over to local authorities?…
Also interesting to see where the number of NSXs out that night. This white NA1 on Advan Racing wheels looked great…
If you guessed “B”, than you guessed right! That and you have a solid understanding of everything that I’ve already written so far!…
Chris Panchoo’s Integra on Enkei RPF1 wheels…
New York was the first time I’ve ever seen an old white man where a traditional Filipino Barong…
Subaru BRZ on WED’S wheels…
If you look closely at the background you’ll see an NYPD van in the middle of the intersection. It stopped there to block the rest of the convoy of cars from moving forward…
An airred-up 370Z rolling through in hopes that his Amuse front bumper doesn’t get destroyed…
Random Slingshot cruising through…
Out of nowhere, a DMC-12 DeLorean appeared out of nowhere dressed in Back to the Future garb along with a driver who was dressed as Doc Brown from the movie series…
While the DeLorean was busy grasping all that 2016 was, car guys were busy waiting for their various fix-it tickets to be handed out to them…
This VW GTI drew the attention of the police who were happy to give the car a thorough glance…
Being one of the most diehard BTTF fans around since I was a child, I could immediately tell that this was not a true movie-car replica. Most of the additions were done as an ode to the movie but not necessarily accurate…
One way to tell was by looking at the rear of the car. Those two rear vertical additions are supposed to overlap the taillights…
Nonetheless, the guy tried and the car definitely did its job of grabbing the attention of everyone around Times Square. With the NYPD busy with the other cars, the owner literally stopped in the middle of the intersection for photo-ops right next to the NYPD van as traffic went through all four ways of the intersection…
Willy’s legit RHD Japanese DC5 Integra Type R on red Volk TEs…
The owner of this VW didn’t seem very pleased at all with the outcome of his evening in New York…
Kenny from SNTRL talking to the owner of this S2000 as he cruised by, avoiding a ticket of any kind…
Luckily, the typical melee of Times Square allowed us to continue to take photos without any attention from the NYPD…
Chris Kane was lucky enough to be able to drive through multiple times without being stopped…
Massive ARC front mount on this R34…
It was great to see Tiffanie out there for the first time, diving right into the swing of things and capturing great shots throughout the night…
One more of the GTR V-Spec on Nismo wheels…
The NYPD definitely had their hands full that night, writing ticket after ticket to those who unfortunate enough to get caught in the wrong place at the wrong time…
We ended our night with some late night pizza and I captured this Impala cruising by as we ate…
That’s a wrap on the cruise coverage. Hope you all enjoyed it. Wekfest New Jersey 2016 coverage coming up next…
It’s like a police state. You can’t even drive a modified car in peace for God sakes.
insane ambiance & captured well! .. there’s always one to ruin it for everyone..
I kinda wish you guys could’ve time traveled back to 1985 Times Square with Doc Brown. That’s the only way the pics could be more epic. Sorry for the folks that got tickets – NYC fines aren’t cheap. 🙁
These shots are amazing! Bummer about the tickets.
the best shots bro …..
Try having someone take pics from the TKTS stairs next year, can get some nice “aerial” views with the other backdrop of Times Square
