Before we dive right back into the photos, I should probably mention the obvious lack of team tandem photos this year. I had no idea there was even a change until I got to Wisconsin that weekend but the whole reason it was called “Final Bout Gallery” this year was because they eliminated the “team” aspect of the event. While it was one of the original features of this event series, the guys from Final Bout felt it necessary to expand their event by removing the team feature to bring in more drivers to compete. They didn’t want people to be excluded from Final Bout because they weren’t on a team so it just made more sense to provide them with the opportunity to compete on their own. Of course there would still be tandem and group runs but not being with a car crew was no longer a limiting factor…

Hosting a “Gallery” meant that drivers could come and compete with others freely, showing their individual driving and car style. Enthusiasts were organized in groups and they had different solo run sessions judged by special guest judges who decided who would ultimately move on. Since we are presenting coverage in reverse order, you should know by now who won the competition overall. Make sure to look at the previous two-parts if you didn’t catch it. When I first saw Juan Marquez’s Cadillac CTS-V in the pit area, I thought for sure it was just a display vehicle or a support vehicle of some type. When the competition actually started and I saw this thing being driven on the Advanced Course, I was pretty shocked to say the least. It’s not every day you see a Caddy with Work XT7s being used as a drift vehicle but that’s just one of so many cool things at Final Bout. You just never know what you’re gonna see…

One of the more interesting things to see during my weekend at Final Bout was actually seeing all these cars drive around on the track at USAIR AND on the streets of Shawano. At one point during the weekend I went off sight to go grab lunch at a local diner a few miles away and spotted this same IS pull-up just minutes later to get food at the same spot….
