The Chronicles 2-Year Anniversary Meet Coverage…Part 1…

Before I begin, I forgot to thank everybody that attended for actually following directions and having the “2YRS” stickers placed in the appropriate section of their cars. I think I only spotted one guy who just decided to put his sticker wherever he wanted. The stickers helped out a lot in the roll-in process and it just made parking everyone so much easier. Also, everybody also did the right thing and actually cleaned up after themselves. It’s amazing how smoothly clean-up is when everyone decides to be courteous and pick up their own trash. At the end of the day when we were doing trash pick-ups, there really wasn’t much to do other than collect the trash cans. There were a few bottles and shit here and there but I can probably count on one hand how many pieces of trash I had to scoop up off the ground. There was no dirty diapers, dog shit, or human shit on the Eibach grounds and that is always a good thing…From that aspect of the meet I couldn’t be happier…

So anyways, May started out the weeekend prep for the meet by making cookies, Munky Munch, brownies, and having a tray of candy for the homies who were invited and who always have shown great support for the site. This was our little private party inside the bay area of the Eibach facilities and only friends and family were really allowed in there to chill and eat. I wasn’t trying to keep anyone left out but I have to show love to the people that have given me ample amounts of support. These people helped make this site what it is, you know?…

Cookies that were delicious…

Mixing the brownie batter…

In there completed state, the ones on the right are Reeses peanut butter style brownies…

The trays of food we brought once May finished. Her and I also prepared goodie bags with candy in it and handed them out to people who purchased VIP spots. It was just a gesture of good faith to those people and to promote the party-atmosphere that we wanted. That and it’s near Halloween time after all. I really just wanted everyone to relax and enjoy themselves and people were pretty cool about it. The guys that got their candy seemed like they appreciated it and were not shy about approaching us to say thanks. Good stuff…

Now I didn’t really pull the camera out until much later in the afternoon because I was running around trying to get everything situated so my coverage is a bit skewed. It’s totally random in order and it’s just shots of whatever I saw at that moment. Not really any structure involved but oh well, I’m sure you guys understand why…

I hired DPK security and paid him in cookies but Black Pie didn’t really do much that day other than securing his spot in front of the booth and talking to females…

Jeremy with his smug asshole look…He might have been half way through a sneeze right here but I’m not sure…Looks like his middle knuckle is about to explode…

The Chronicles booth where we had merchandise for people… May, Tina, and Jennie were there all day helping me out and probably making fun of people that were walking by…You can see Pie here to the right securing the area where there was absolute no one causing trouble…

My boy Anh who made like a one-day trip down from Norcal just for my event. After he left I think this fool drove all the way home…crazy…props though. Some shit I would do…haha….

Edwin aka Midoriking’s engine bay….really nice build that I haven’t had a chance to see before other than that day of the meet. This dude came all the way out from Utah too…

My boy Noel’s Corolla with some serious fitment. I guess you can say he has “first class fitment”…but I think you can only get that if you “buy it“…it’s an inside joke…hah…

DPK Henry rolling in…thanks for being on time. Haha…

Not really sure what was going on here but it would probably make more sense if I photoshopped a dildo into Anh’s hand…

Carlos backing into his spot with his MF10 fitted S2000 CR…The dude on the left with the neon green laces was not impressed though, and he pondered his melancholy existence…

Some of the homies from San Diego that rolled up…gotta give them a shout because they’ve always been supportive and I knew these dudes long before I started The Chronicles…

The homie Dougie, he was so instrumental in helping me get the cars parked that day. I can always rely on this dude…

Mikeyyyy and Joseph checking out the newest issue of Honda Tuning magazine…

Black Pie and Anh talking pants…

Noel holding a fat ass pigeon…

Jared eating as usual…

Noel’s Corolla…

Noel’s brother Bert and his STi on white faced BBS LMs…

Big Steve, Kevin, and Freddie from Autofashion and their invisible DJ…

Salem’s TSX… Salem actually flew back from Cuba THAT DAY and then made the trip back up to come to the meet…

Ejay.DA.Hadtobejumpstartedattheendoftheday.thisrhymes.yay…

Kingdingaling came all the way out from Arizona to show his love for The Chronicles…big-ups to him for making the trip with no hood…

A really bad shot of the Eibach Springs SEMA project CR-Z…

I gotta say, we had a pretty good line-up of cars that day…

One more of the Corolla…this is after I tripped over the skateboard from the previous picture…

Bisi came out with his turbo Civic wagon…

The NWP booth…

DPK Darryl’s Civic coupe which he’s currently re-building I think…

ATS Angel’s S2000…Why I didn’t get a front shot of it I don’t know…

Speaking of random shots, here’s one of Anh’s audio set-up…strangely enough, I don’t think I got any exterior shots of it…

Black Pie, aka “security”…keeping the ladies safe from normal conversation…

Airbag Club aka Ryan Der and Donut having a shitty time at the meet…

Arnel’s new 4-door Civic project…

I liked this red TSX on SSR Competitions…

The late Juan Lemus’ del Sol…his brother was kind enough to bring the car out to the meet…

Abraham’s hatch…

Norman and his Smyle shirt…

Phaze2 Tony cruised by after work to come chill at the meet…

Special shout-out to the Tjin brothers for bringing out their Skyline and Camaro to display at my little event…Always a pleasure to see these guys and their projects, new and old…

This Skyline in it’s old Turtle Wax livery and HREs will always be one of my favorite builds of all time…

Tucked RB…

They had posters on hand for people to grab…and a bag of hamburgers…

How many people can say they had this whole set-up at their meet? Haha…alright, I’m gonna stop here for today…back with more tomorrow. I think it should only be two parts since I didn’t take too many pictures but we’ll see…

  1. What was up with the Birds?? Looked hella funny, hella.
    Nice looking meet, congrats.

  2. Not sure what the inside joke is about “First Class Fitment”… but I just wanted to congratulate you Joey on your 2-year anniversary and a successful show! I have been working very hard for the past few months to organize our first event and celebrate our one year anniversary this weekend. I’m not sure how you were able to do it, but I just hope we did enough planning up front that I can actually enjoy First Class Fitment and try and get some coverage myself. Keep up the good work man!

  3. 1st time I’m in here more than my car…The meet was chili and drama free! It was strange to go up the street leading to the Eibach entrance with no hold up, lines, and anything!

Left 2am the day of your meet, got in at 8am-ish, left same day at 9pm-ish, good thing I was following a ZR1 for about a good 3 hours home 🙂 It was so fast!

  6. Congratulations on a successful meet Joey and it’s good to hear everyone abided by the guidelines and kept it clean. Looks like all went well and you had a great showing of cars, even some out of state. Props to those guys for making the drive and supporting the site and to May for putting in so much time to make goodies for the homies. Wish I could have been there, but there’s always the 3 year meet.

  9. Congrats on a very successful and laid back meet! And, most importantly congrats on your 2 year anniversary of the site! Sorry that Loi and I were unable to make it. We will be there for the next year, and the next, and the next! This just calls for a 2 year anniversary dinner at Samwoo when Loi is back! Congrats again Joey!
