Well this doesn’t happen very often and it’s probably the first and only time it’ll ever happen, but the Source Interlink offices in El Segundo are throwing a meet for the Need For Speed Shift 2 video game launch. I guess the game is set to be released next week but we enthusiasts get an early opportunity to play the game first hand this weekend. Its an actual car meet so please use typical meet protocol and not act like a complete asshole. This is pretty cool because it gives you guys a chance to see the building where Super Street and Modified are put together. I’ll be on hand to cover the event for The Chronicles as well as Honda Tuning mag so come out and join in on the festivities. There are going to be past features cars that were hand-picked by the editors of your favorite mags to represent at the event as well, so you’re bound to see some really nice cars. Here’s some more information on the event via Super Street…..
This will be a gathering of enthusiasts and tuned cars to view and demo NFS: Shift 2 and interact with NFS, NFS Drivers and the editors of our various titles. Best of all, it’s open to all industry members, enthusiasts and our readers.
Location: Source Interlink Media – El Segundo, CA Facility
Date: Saturday March 26th, 2011 1:00pm to 6:00pm
Come play Need for Speed: Shift 2 Unleashed before it’s released on Tuesday March 29th, 2011. We’ll have consoles on-site, including two very exclusive sit-in/steering wheel consoles that will be used for competition throughout the day. There will be plenty of contests and giveaways, not to mention you can try your hand at racing against a Team NFS driver (best lap time gets a special prize). We’d also like to extend a special invitation to all enthusiasts to bring their cars out for a car meet that we’re also hosting at the event, so spread the word to your friends and join us for a day of fun along with Super Street, Import Tuner, Modified, eurotuner and Speedhunters.
we will be there with the ITR, we got invited to the event by speed hunters.
Might be there, will know more friday night if I’m tearing my turbo apart over the weekend or not.
