Today we will be taking a look at some shots that I took of Kane Chan’s Civic coupe that was recently featured in Super Street’s annual Honda Issue. Click here for the full story online…
I’m a huge fan of Kane’s and there really isn’t much I really have to say about his coupe that I haven’t already done in the Super Street story as well as here on The Chronicles. The car is a truly rare beast considering how builds these days are fly-by night projects assembled merely for online recognition and fame. Really though, how many people do you know have had their older Hondas since they were brand new from the dealership and still have them today? Fucking.Awesome. Anyways, check out the pics below. I was pretty happy with how this shoot went…it’s always easy to shoot in downtown L.A. because there are so many great backdrops to use when shooting. These were the ones that weren’t used in the Super Street Honda Issue, minus the first shot which ended up being the first page layout for the story. At the end I’ve included a 1920×1080-sized desktop image for you guys like usual…enjoy, and thanks for looking. Props to Kane for building such a timeless ride and go pick up the Super Street Honda Issue if you haven’t done so already. There should be a couple issues left on newstands before they switch over to the next issue, which should drop in the next few weeks. Once they’re gone, they’re gone, so swoop that up before it’s too late…

I just read the story. It’s weird looking back on this and that DA that was featured in H-T a few months back. Like the said about this one and that DA they’re both time capsules. Isn’t it crazy..you never really hear of original parts nowadays. And I’m talking relatively old school parts i.e : Buddy Club VTEC controller, back when Apexi’s VFAC was all the rage..ugh man lol I could go ON Joey, but it’s ultimately cool to feature cars that still rock old school parts.

this was the exact platform that paved my way into imports back in 96, a 92-95 white civic ex coupe! the car holds a special place in my life and kane’s ride is a perfect example of this! the only thing missing is a grandpa-in-a-stone-cup bobblehead on the dashboard LOL!
