I originally was going to post up some coverage from the JDMYard 10-Year Anniversary event but these photos were just too good to pass up. This was actually a pleasant surprise but anything shot by Makotoman is usually good. I always look forward to what our Japanese friend comes up with because he covers a wide range of events over in Japan and his photos are top notch. I don’t have too much information on this event itself other than it being a track day called “Historix Wars” and it taking place at the famed Suzuka Circuit. There isn’t much actual track footage or details like lap times per se, Makotoman just went out there and snapped some pics of cars that caught his eyes. You’ll probably recognize some of the cars yourself if you’ve been following The Chronicles in the past because these cars have appeared multiple times before this. Two of the notable Hondas in this set are the Banzai Attack K20 EF, with fuel rail sticking out of the hood and all, and the E-AT from Kazuhiro Furakawa of OsakaJDM. The others are just random sightings and a couple from a tuning shop known as “Try Box”. Let’s all I got in terms of details, just take a gander at the photos below and enjoy…
Thanks to Makoto Onoda aka Makotoman for always coming through with great snaps…
The Banzai Attack K20 EF from Rhythm Motors upon arrival at the Suzuka Circuit… Not much to this Civic but aggressive form and pure function. Wheels are from Barramundi Designs because someone is bound to ask and the rear wing is a Car Craft Boon! wing…
Car Craft Boon!/OsakaJDM widebody E-AT Civic with two different sets of OsakaJDM Loop5 wheels…
Just a couple of show cars on trailers, haha….
Unloaded in the paddocks…
Check out the unique shifter set-up in the Banzai Attack EF hatch…
Here’s a car you wouldn’t expect to see in Japan let alone at the Suzuka Circuit…Even their Camaros are clean…
This flared Porsche was also looking really good…
The EF getting prepared for its first session…
As was the CCB E-AT…
Furakawa taping down his lenses… Random, but really cool of him to rock the Stickydiljoe.com decal on the OsakaJDM banner…
Really liked this perspective as shot by Makotoman…
A pair of EKs getting set to see some track time…
Try Box Mugen RR…
Historix Wars played host to some pretty interesting builds, including this wagon…
…and this VW bus, both would hit the track…
This Fairlady Z was in the process of being aesthetically completed but looked really aggressive on Barramundi Elevens…
The Try Box Honda Integra looked real mean… Loving the bug-eye front-end too. Rare to see this front modded for the track in Japan…
Cool to see them use the fog light holes as ducting to send air into the engine bay…
Flared OEM front fenders with spacers to fit the 5-lug bronze Volk CE28Ns…
All that added ducting diverts air into the individual throttle bodies…
Like many track Hondas in Japan, the interior is a different color than the exterior. Everything is just gutted for weight reduction and to make room for the custom roll cage. If you look closer…
…you’ll see that even the dashboard has been removed and in its place sits a custom dash made of sheet metal…
20B Rotary-powered S30Z built by Common Snapper…
Banzai Attack heading out for its first run…
Loose Racing EF hatchback… In the background holding the camera is none other than our friend Yasutaka from Tactical Art. His EG is currently going through a rebuild phase, otherwise you’d probably see him out there with the rest of the Hondas…
Tsumori EF on Advan RGIIs…
2012 seems like the year of the resurgence of the EF chassis. They are just everywhere this year…
Common Snapper S30Z on the track…
OsakaJDM E-AT Civic…
Banzai Attack doing work…
Try Box Mugen RR…
Another of the 20B Fairlady blasting down the Suzuka Circuit…
Second set of wheels on the K20 EF…
Random red EK on the track…
EK4 SiR Civic leaving the paddock…
Try Box DC Integra minus the front lip…Hopefully he didn’t lose it out there…
A final shot of the Banzai Attack EF…
And closing out the day with a photo of this white EK from Cruisin’ on aggressive Enkei RPF1…
Thanks for looking…
