Well, I’m actually in the process of packing for my trip to Chicago this weekend so now would be the perfect time to get Part 2 of this set up for you guys to see. Umm, everything is explained in Part 1 of this series but just to give you guys a quick run-down; Shota Mori, my friend and contributor from Japan, recently went on a cruise to Twin Ring Motegi with some of the guys from Type_K Autosource. Takeshi from Type_K likes to organize a cruise every now and then and he got some other car guys together to spend an afternoon together. Mori, being the hard-working photographer that he is, shot everything in sight and now we get a chance to look at his glorious photos. If you missed Part 1, please go back and look at the original post so that everything is in sequence. There are some great cars in this series that you do not want to miss, I promise…
I have to get back to making sure I have everything ready for Wekfest Chicago this weekend so I’ll just leave you with these great shots below. Enjoy and have a great weekend!!…
Takeshi and friends roaming the parking lot at Twin Ring Motegi…
Kentaro Unuma cruising the lot in Shota Mori’s Accord on Mugen CF-48 wheels…
While that was going on, Mori dedicating a chunk of time into shooting the cars in their group in an empty section of the parking lot. Above is a EK9 Civic Type R on WED’S TC005…
Kohei Saito’s beautifully put-together EK9 CTR that has been re-imagined to resemble a modded USDM DX model Civic on Spoon wheels…
Two of the three EK9 Type Rs with the group that day, one a Zenki model with Spoon Sports carbon front lip, the other a factory Kouki CTR-look…
I just can’t get enough of this CTR, it’s just too good…
Another angle from the floor…
Not much done to this particular CTR, just wheels and suspension…
This other one however, appears to have a bit more to it with the LCAs, Desmond wheels, exhaust, and Circuit Hero tow hook…
I guess at a glance, one could easily forget that their were three CTRs present that afternoon…
Always good to see a clean set of WED’s TC005 wheels. Not too many sets left in 2016…
Notice the light coat of green to tint the carbon on the Spoon Sports side mirrors…
A better look at the suspension pieces under this Civic…
Next, Mori turned his attention towards two of the DC2 Type Rs in the pack that day. Takehiro Hasegawa’s black Mugen R and Kohei Taguchi’s R with BYS front bumper and Mugen Gen. 1 wing…
Probably as close to perfection as one would want. For those unaware, this is the same Mugen R that used to be Championship White with the Mugen side stripe…
Kohei Taguchi’s R is always good. He has a track set-up that I think I actually enjoy more which utilizes a stock R front bumper with carbon Spoon Sports front lip…
Two of the finest examples of some of the Hondas in the Tokyo area of Japan…
Unuma and friends checking out his EG Ferio…
Hasegawa and his Mugen R…
Seeing these two front ends so close together makes me pretty nervous, haha, but I see why they lined-up this way…
If you are a Mugen MF10-lover, this is porn…
Two Integra Type Rs from different time periods…
So good that Hasegawa had to get a shot for himself…
Kentaro Unuma’s Ferio looks pretty good at this ride height with the OEM Acura wheels…
A quick look at the DC2R on Work RSZ-R…
Lovely shot of Taguchi’s Sprint Hart CP-R wheels…
…as well as the classic Mugen MF10…
Daisuke Ito’s DC5 Integra with Mugen rear wing and J’s carbon rear diffuser….
…and Ito himself, who is never camera-shy…
There is still one more part to come that I will probably upload on Monday. It’s all ready, I’m just currently in Chicago and have to find time to make the post live. Thanks for looking and stay tuned!!
