SEMA Show 2016 Coverage…Part 2…

PHOTOS AND WORDS BY JOEY LEE (STICKYDILJOE)

By the time you’re reading this, I think I should be in Jakarta. Hopefully everything is going well and I am having a good time, haha. I was invited to go to Indonesia a couple months ago to attend their huge Hot Import Nights event. I’m very unfamiliar with the country and really probably have no idea what I am doing there so I really hope I get back safely. If you don’t hear from me in a week or see me pop up on social media, uhhh…look for me, haha. Thanksgiving is probably going on and I am also probably wishing I was stuffing my body with copious amounts of gravy and meat. I think everything should be okay though. It’s nice to travel and see new things, I just think I’m being paranoid about it…

Anyways, today, I have the rest of the photos that I shot during my week-long stay in Las Vegas, Nevada for the annual SEMA event. As stated in Part 1, I didn’t do a whole lot of shooting this time around. I spent much of my time doing video stuff and I had Tiffanie shooting the photos. Her laptop got stolen over the weekend so I currently do not even know what the status of those photos are. Some fucking asshole literally eyed-it, ran and grabbed it, and then ran off like a maniac down the street. Tiffanie and her friend ran after the guy, chasing him for 4 blocks but he eventually got away. It’s fucked up and now we have to figure out a way to get her another laptop since she needs it for work. If she actually has the photos still, I will try to get them up here for you guys to see. It is unfortunate that we live in a world where people can’t work hard to get their own things and would rather steal from people who are just trying to get by and work for their own…

Enough rambling from me. I think Tiffanie and I should be okay in Indonesia right now. If all goes well, I’ll be running around covering all the interesting things that I see in that country so that I can show you all when I get back. Until then, check out the rest of my SEMA 2016 photos below. Thanks for the support and I appreciate your patience…

This Camaro consistently brought out a solid crowd of onlookers throughout the week. One reason being because of its incredibly low-height…

…The other reason why was because everyone was wondering how it was possible that there was a GM LSx engine, normally a V8, that was 12-cylinders. Even crazier is that this Camaro is actually from Australia! The engine is possible because people have figured out a way to take a GM LS engine, separate it into sections and re-weld them together to create a V12 block. The company (V12LS.com) actually sells this entire set-up and you can get anything from a LS V12 longblock to a turn-key engine that is ready to be dropped into your car. The set-up you see above is an 8.55 liter V12 good for 717HP and 630LB-FT torque. Wild, right?…

Crazy how they were able to fit the engine into an FR-S engine bay. You can tell by the lay-out of the motor that a lot of things had to be altered or manuevered to work. The intake for example, now runs into the cabin where it gets air from two air ducts on both front fenders…

  1. The swirl pot is in the engine bay. The can in the trunk is a surge tank
