Machine Check!!

Now that I’m back home from Japan, it’s time to put the EK9 away for the summer until I go back. I figured now would be a good time though to give you all a breakdown of the entire build. Just to put a nice cap on this project for the time being…

There’s nothing really mind-blowing about this EK9, I just wanted to put something together with Yasu from Exceed Japan utilizing a majority of parts that are readily available, most traditionally ‘JDM’, adding some of my own styling touches with Yasu’s craftsmanship, to really show the importance of flow and execution. Also, I’ve never owned an EK9 before. How cool to build one in Osaka of all places?…

  1. She is really beautiful !
She has 99% good parts sélection.
    everyone is in agreement.
There’s only one thing I like least, and that’s the hood clips.
    Really nice work!!!
This suits you much more than a Lexus IS.
    best wishes

  2. Hi Joe
    You made a real beauty.
Color / seat / brakes / rims / tire size and with this B16 which sits magnificently in the bay.
    All the pieces are harmonious.
    excellent work !!

It suits you much better than a Lexus IS 🙂

Just the hood clips that I like less.

    Best wishes.

  3. With print media no longer existent, this is like a gulp of fresh air.

Imagine being a guy going out to just do “machine checks” and taking pictures like you did here of other print worthy cars of today.

Sponsors need to pick Joey up for this cause before everything becomes a lost art!

He has a eye for good stuff and actually knows what he’s doing even tho he doesn’t admit to it sometimes.

Srsly, Joey Lee from CHRONICLES is like the last person we know with good tastes…

  4. Man, everything on this EK9 is just right! Especially the wheel fitment..just a beautifully executed build. I wish the scene here in switzerland would be like that, but civics are just seen as crappy cars and fitted with a whole lotta fake parts lol.

  5. How do u ‘horn’ to another car to say, hye!
