Happy to see that everyone is enjoying a look at the U.S-themed Wreckin’ Meet Volume 2 coverage. Even for a meet that wasn’t huge by any means, you can definitely see the variety and different styles of modification. It’s Great to how U.S. car culture has really injected some new life into the Japanese tuner community but even better to see how they’ve interpreted it in their own way and still include elements of original Japanese style into it. Our community wouldn’t be where it is today without the Japanese so it is very interesting to see how everything has come full circle and how we are spreading inspiration back and forth. There really isn’t very much else that needs to be mentioned in regards to the Wreckin’ Meet so let’s just get right back into the coverage…

Wreckin’ Meet Vol. 2 Japan Coverage…Part 1…
…And here are the rest of the photos…
A line-up of S2000s from LEVEL ONE Japan Chapter…
Yuki Kuroda’s USDM FG2 Civic coupe on green Work Emotion XD9s…
Daisuke Ito’s DC5 Integra Type R on bronze Mugen MF10s from Lowered 2 Perfection/L2P crew…
The Lowballers Japan line-up featuring Masaki Morohashi’s S13 Silvia coupe, Masao Adachi’s U.S. LHD Lexus IS, and Kazuki Hirota’s E46 M3 coupe…
One more of Morohashi’s S13 Silvia on SSR Professor SP1. Not sure what the significance of the “FAKEN” decal is but I love the fact that he converted his front end back to the JDM S13 face…
Beefy-looking black Nissan Fairlady Z…
Shota Mori has such a big collection of wheels that he probably never has to buy new tires. Whenever there is a long drive to an event, he probably just tosses a different set of wheels on out of his collection and goes about his business, haha…
Takeshi Yamada’s VW Jetta Wolfsburg Edition looking great on Schmidt TH Lines. Love everything about this build and how simple it remains, yet it still gives off a sense of aggression…
Re-barreled Mugen M7 wheels on this AP2 S2000. Haven’t seen a set of double step-lipped M7s yet in Japan until this S2K. I wonder if it is going to be a trend in Japan now….
Masao Adachi’s Lexus 2IS on CCW wheels….
Nice touch with the California vanity plate on this bagged Volkswagen R32 Golf 4-door…
BMW Z4 on gold-faced Work Meister S1…
Really liked this shot of Kohei Taguchi’s Integra Type R and Akifumi Ikeda’s Integra Si-VTEC. Really shows off the two different faces of the DC2 chassis back then, although Taguchi’s is rocking a BackYard Special front bumper…
Ikeda passing by Koji Matuzaka’s S2000…
Shunichi Hatta’s DB1 Honda Integra sedan on some rare (even by U.S. standards these days) Racing Hart CRs. The front lip, if I remember correctly, is a U.S. JDP front lip…
Tomohiro Chujo’s FD2 Civic Type R on red Advan Racing RGII…
VW Wagon rollin’ through static on Work Gnosis HS203…
Golf 4 R32 on silver BBS LMs…
Takayuki Saito’s incredibly stanced-out EG6 with minimal rear contact patch…
Hiroyuki Nakamura’s Honda Legend sedan on Regamaster EVOs…
Norifumi Kobayashi’s Honda Accord Euro Wagon is one of my favorite Japanese Honda builds currently. Very unique chassis to build off of and he’s really done it justice…
Here’s a good look at the Voltex rear diffuser for the S2000 platform…
Megumi Masaki’s BMW E30 wagon looks great really low to the ground on golf-faced BBS wheels. Really wish we could see these wagons here in the U.S. since the E30 chassis is starting to really pick-up some steam again. Everyone seems to have a secret E30 project lurking in their garage somewhere these days…
Another angle of Masaki’s E30 wagon parked next to a W124 Mercedes Benz wagon…
The silver/black two-toned MBZ W124 is on a set of silver MAE Crown Jewels…
Naoki Murashita’s S2000 and Kazu Imai’s Integra Type R. Now that Imai’s ITR is much lower to the ground thanks to the radius job on his fenders, he can’t really drive long distances with his ITR front lip now without destroying it on the road. He does put it on at events though and you can actually see the lip sitting inside his car in this shot…
Awesome and humbling to see one of my “No Equal” decals on Hiroyuki Nakamura’s Legend…
Slammed Golf cruising through and leaving the venue. You can see here how windy it was as the meet carried on through the storm…
A left-hand drive VW Jetta sedan soon followed…
While I’m not afraid to admit that I don’t know a whole lot about Volkswagens, I appreciate the fact that Shota Mori does and captures a ton of them so that I can learn more about VW culture in Japan…
Mori’s two loves; Honda and Volkswagen…
That silver S2000 you saw earlier with the Voltex rear diffuser also has an ASM front bumper and teal Work Emotion XD9s. Though they are all Japanese-made products, this look is indeed very “USDM” inspired…
Here’s a side profile shot of the black EG6 Civic I posted yesterday with the immaculately cleaned and tucked engine bay. The exterior is very U.S.-themed with the 949Racing 6UL wheels, Spoon Sports front lip, and Spoon Sports duckbill spoiler…
Mori’s Accord with Ito’s DC5R and Ikeda’s Integra…
Akifumi’s passenger is all smiles as they cruise out in his DC2…
AFter the Wreckin’ Meet ended, the cruise home was basically another gathering as most of the Hondas cruised out together. Here is Takuma Shoji’s Civic coupe alongside Ikeda and Taguchi…
Kuroda’s 8th gen. Civic coupe which was never available for sale in Japan. The only time you would ever see them is if guys like Kuroda imported them…
Three guys from Crazy Rabbit car crew. You can see how their logo is a play on the original Ghostbusters logo fused with the Volkswagen insignia…
The rear of Takeshi Yamada’s VW coupe. Here you can get a slightly better look at his cage…
The Civic Wagon on wheels that I still have yet to remember the name of…
Slammed cream Volkswagen Lupo on MBZ wheels. Nice touch with the Recaro bucket seats…
You can also see the Yamada’s Jetta coupe is also running Recaro seats inside of its gutted cockpit…
Another shot of the interesting quad-headlight front grille of this VW Jetta…
If you saw the coverage yesterday (I don’t see how you could have missed it), you saw me mention that the owner of the CTR on Work RSZ-Rs looked to have a flat rear tire. Turns out it was true because you can see in this shot how he had to swap the wheel out for an OEM CTR wheel for the drive back….
Task Ogihara’s EF Civic on white GAB Sport wheels with black Recaro SRDs…
One more of Shunichi Hatta’s DB1…
…and Daisuke Ito’s DC5 Integra R…
Takeshi Kato’s DB on Work Meisters. Not 100% sure but I believe this is a 96-spec 4-door Type R…
A couple more of Kouji Matuzaka’s slammed S2000…
Matuzaka is one of the faces of LEVEL ONE’s Japan Chapter. LEVEL ONE is a car crew based out of Canada originally that produces some really high caliber Honda builds…
His Volk TE37 Super Laps…
Like the silver AP2 from earlier, Matuzaka is also running a Voltex rear diffuser…
After a small gathering at a rest stop, it was time to set off on the journey home…
Matsuda’s 180SX Type-X, Saito’s 180SX, and Kuroda’s Civic SI coupe…
Mori and some of the others stuck around for a little bit longer but left not too long after…
Takuma Shoji’s EJ Civic coupe on the road…
…and we wrap it up here with Kohei Taguchi and friends cruising down the highway as the sun set in Japan…
That’s a wrap on the Wreckin’ Meet Vol. 2 coverage. Thanks to Shota Mori for the great shots as always!!…
those arent real m7s i see no emblem or even the emblem groove , usually you can make out the emblem in pics
