Man, I’ve been going through so much content lately, it’s crazy. It’s nice to be able to sit down and process all these photos and to get them up for you guys to see. I actually just finished the Wekfest Japan photos last night but before I can get those out, I gotta finish showing you guys these photos from the No Good Racing track day at Nakayama Circuit. Not much else to say about this day, other than it just being a nice chill day with some cool cars and interesting people. Make sure you guys watch the Vlog if you haven’t seen it yet. It includes some in-car footage from a couple of the cars running that day. The second portion of the coverage that you’re looking at today picks up right where Part 1 left-off. I don’t think I included any action shots in the first section but there are plenty in this one. Enjoy it and share if you dig it. Thanks!…
Clark Kent from No Good Racing’s EF9 Civic SiR…
Clever, very clever…
As mentioned in Part 1, there were other cars in attendance that day that weren’t from NGR, including this EG6 on SSR Type-X…
Rarely do you see silver EK9 CTRs anywhere these days, let alone on the track…
Masa’s white EK9 CTR from No Good Racing…
The yellow EK9 rocking the red Saito roll cage cruising through the pits on its way out for the next session…
Silver EK4 Civic SiR that you saw previously in Part 1 with the Shift Sports hood and mismatched Volk/Enkei wheels…
Yuki’s NGR Red Bull EG6…
Still lovin’ that half-cut rear bumper on this white EK9 CTR….
The white Integra Type R with the custom center-exit exhaust and J’s hood on Enkei NT03…
Ryo Takata checking tire pressure in-between sessions…
More of the Red Bull EG6 in action…
DC2 Integra with a passenger getting a ride-along…
Black EK4 that you saw plenty of in Part 1…
Red Bull EG6…
Takata in the Yellow Shark…
Chillin’ in the paddock during an unusually pleasant, cool, holiday week in Japan…
SSR Type-Xs look fantastic when wrapped with a nice beefy tire…
Pink Shark ripping through the elevated section of Nakayama Circuit…
Red Bull gives you wings I hear…
Lunch break and cool down…
Rear bumper cut-outs done right…
Suited-up and ready for action…
Masa about to lose his fender and side skirt…
Takata running through the straight section of the Nakayama Circuit…
Yellow EK9 back in the pits…
This was captured during the time when Yasu was swapping out the busted axle on the Pink Shark so it could keep running for the rest of the afternoon (as seen in the Vlog)….
Yellow EG6 on mismatched WEDS wheels running a B16A powerplant…
A duo of Silver EKs…
This EG was a little rough around the edges but was one of the faster Civics that afternoon…
If you look back at older coverage from maybe about a year ago, you may remember seeing this EG tucked away in the back of Mecha-Dock…
Pink Shark with a new axle and a fresh pair of tires/wheels up front…
Kentarou’s EK9 Type R….
I really liked this perspective where the cars would return from the track and enter the pits at this angle, particularly with people’s heads sticking out and watching on…
As you’d expect, I got plenty of photos of the Red Bull EG…
…as well as the black SiR…
Cruising back after a few hot laps…
We didn’t stay until the very end since we were pretty tired and had a long drive back. The rest of the guys stayed until the evening but Yasu and I headed back to Osaka and took a nap for like 6 hours after, haha…
A couple days later, we met up with JC and his friend Julian for some late night car hangs with their white cars…
JC’s super clean AE86 Levin on Work Equip 40…
Yasu and Julian’s EK9 Type Rs…
Everybody likes gas station photos so we got some of those too…
And that’s a wrap on this one. Got a bunch of Wekfest Japan photos coming after I get back from Chicago, so stay tuned!!…
Is there a reason why so many of the cars have missing side moldings?
Weight reduction I’d assume.
What is the meaning of the NGR hand gesture? I like theor graphic style, but wonder if that’s like flipping somebody off in Japanese?
It’s a gun.
