Wekfest Houston 2018 Coverage… Part 3…

Later that morning, I finally made it inside the building to get some photos in before putting my camera away to start working. Judging the show itself wasn’t too difficult this year so I was hoping to get everything done before the show ended so I could shoot some more. Of course with so much going on, that didn’t happen but if you watched the Vlog on YouTube, you’ll see that I was able to capture video. As stated in Part 1, there was a combination of things that happened which was unfortunate, ultimately making some cars unavailable to compete at this year’s Wekfest Houston event, but the show was still very good overall. With the Houston leg of the tour finished, that leaves one more stop in Florida before the 2018 season officially closes. I never really know what to expect from Florida but I think as a group, we are gearing up to make the event as good as it can be, and go in with a positive mindset like we did with New Jersey. Then after that, 2019 is right around the corner and there is a lot to prepare for. I think it’ll be a huge year…

First thing’s first though. Year10 this weekend, SEMA right after that, Autofashion VIP Festival, and then Super Lap Battle. Things are exactly slowing down. I hope you’re ready.

Enjoy the final set of photos from WF Houston 2018…

Chris Huitron’s Mugen-themed Prelude was by far one of the best builds in the building that weekend in Houston. It was so good in fact, that it ended-up winning top honors at this year’s Wekfest Houston show. This marks the first time a Prelude has ever won a “Best of Show” in like, the entire history of life, just kidding of course. I’ve been around way too long and have seen many Preludes win through the years, this one just happens to be one of the best and definitely one of the cleanest through and through…

309A6405-Edit

The engine bay of the RHD Civic has been sprayed a dark wine tone. Peculiar way to mount a radiator with some zip ties, especially driving as much as the owner does. Might be time to invest in some better hardware. Overall a pretty cool build nonetheless…
