The Autofashion VIP Festival is always a great time. For me and many of my friends, it’s a bookend to a great trio of events for us. I think that’s why it works out so great that I always have my anniversary event the weekend before SEMA and Autofashion hosts their event the weekend of so that so many enthusiasts from all over the world can be involved in some capacity. I even managed to squeeze in a day at ComplexCon in-between SEMA and VIP Festival, which didn’t help me any less tired, but provided me with a lot of variety in terms of things to look at and appreciate. What I enjoy the most about this gathering is that it provides me with a chance to unwind and chat with friends. The anniversary events like Year10 are so hectic that I find myself unable to really stop and take it all in. SEMA is much the same way just because of the sheer size and the fact that I’m inside a nightclub half the time and can’t hear what people are saying, lol. VIP Festival is the great unwind for me. I drive back down to San Diego, a place in which I spent much of my young adult life, I then go and eat at my favorite Mexican food spot down there, and just hang out with friends around cars. It really doesn’t get any better than that. I think the most difficult part is driving back home to LA after because I’m so relaxed that I just kinda wanna take a nap…
All the VIP Festival events are usually good but I like the last few years in particular since it was moved over to Green Flash Brewery. The lot is not very big but it provides a nice little back drop to the VIP Festival and when the sun starts to set a bit, the location offers some pretty fantastic lighting for photos. I didn’t even shoot until much later in the day because of that. There’s always been this beautiful consistency to the day with the weather and all which makes this event so enjoyable. Huge thanks always to Freddie and the guys from Autofashion USA because they’ve always come through for me whenever I needed them and have always been so incredibly supportive. Congrats on another fantastic year and to many more in the future. Enjoy the photos folks…
