The Eibach Honda Meet has always been a special one for me. It is one of those events that helped me build “The Chronicles” in its early years and even before that, it was one of the main events I looked forward to attending every year. I think I missed out on the first year but have probably been an attendee every year since then. Now in 2017, the Eibach Honda Meet is now 13 years-old. That’s crazy to think that an event has been around this long and has thrived. To me, it will always be the first and original all-Honda event series that was birthed in the North American mecca of the car scene, the West Coast. Over time, I’ve been able to be a vendor at this event and have always done my best to provide you guys with coverage of all the great Honda builds at this annual meet. The last two years, I started doing a lot more video and with the brand continuing to grow in popularity, I’ve also been occupied running The Chronicles booth at the event. My photo coverage started to get more scarce because I was so busy doing other things but for this year, I made sure to get right back into shooting the cars of the Eibach Honda Meet. The time frame was pretty close in terms of scheduling all these events I had to attend. I had to go to Japan to be a part of the Wekfest Japan show in Nagoya, and had to cut my trip short just so I could make it back in time for Eibach. Wekfest happened on a Wednesday over in Japan (because of a week-long holiday they celebrate) and by Saturday, I was already flying back to California so I could make it to the Eibach Meet on Sunday. It was a crazy hectic week. I think I came back on Saturday, editing a bunch of video and photos, slept about an hour, and then loaded-up the Odyssey to head over to Fontana for Eibach at 6:30 AM. Luckily, the weather was great this year. Not great, in that there wasn’t a fucking windstorm that practically blew all the canopies away, but great in that it wasn’t 103 degrees. Previous meets have been so hot that it almost made it unbearable to walk around. I love that cold weather so I felt refreshed, especially after coming back from Japan, which wasn’t very cold by this season. I snapped a bunch of photos early on in the morning and that is where most of the coverage takes place.
For the next installment of “The Epilogues”, I’ll actually be speaking to Ryan Hoegner and Rodrez from the Eibach Honda Meet. I gave them a platform to talk all about the event series and how it got started, where it is today, and what they expect for the future. I think it will be a good read and will coincide nicely with the photo coverage. Stay tuned for that. For now, check out the early morning photos from the 2017 (West Coast) Eibach Honda Meet from Fontana, CA…
A couple of the guys chillin’ early in the AM as cars were being staged in the vendor area of the event…
It’s always good to see Jorge Hernandez’s gold Civic from Arizona. He’s had this car for what seems like ages now and it has always been a constant source of inspiration for many Civic-owners everywhere…
Another guy who has had his Civic forever is Son from Hasback. His black Civic hatchback never changes too much, but he does always switch parts here and there to give it a bit of a different feel…
Two Integra Type Rs from Loi-Spec Garage, both on bronze Volk Racing wheels…
J’s Racing front fenders, rear over fenders, and INGS+1 front bumper on this white S2000…

Fred’s Mugen DC5 RSX looking great on the bronze concave Volk Racing TE37…
When your interior is as clean as Mike Schietroma’s, it makes sense to have to remove shoes before entering…
Jay’s S2000 appropriately wearing J’s aero pieces…
Areen No’s Spoon Sports-themed S2000…
Luis Jaimes’ other Civic build wearing a C-West front bumper and bright green TEs. There is a nationwide shortage of this particular paint color so his Battlecraft hood is left in its original fleshy tone…
The signature Mugen DC5 front face, this one with a front-mounted intercooler lurking behind the opening…
Robert Perez’s Spoon-everything Civic…
Sang Pham’s J’s Racing GT widebody S2000 made the trip up from San Diego in the pouring rain making all kinds of power on Toyo R888s…
The Rywire ITR is up and running consistently now with a new Sequential gearbox in place. Ryan’s constantly busy building his business but has recently found some time to devote to his Integra…

Some more of Fred’s Mugen-themed turbo RSX…
Rob Perez’s Spoon-themed Civic…
Phil’s amazing Pandem Civic. Great to see someone taking advantage of the widened wheel wells and really putting the car to use. He’s incredibly fast on the track and even holds the current N/A FWD record at Chuckwalla Raceway…
K-swap under the hood of Phil’s Civic, soon to be even faster with more engine upgrades coming as well as a sequential gearbox…
Gutted and tidy interior with just carbon sheets covering the openings left by the removal of all amenities inside. Nothing but a Hybrid Racing shifter is left, along with a Sparco wheel and AIM MXL2 digital display…
Rear TRA Kyoto over fenders with a rear diffuser and J’s Racing GT wing added…
One of my favorite photos from that morning was this shot of Phil’s bronze Volk ZE40 wheels wrapped in Hoosier rubber with Brembo big brakes…
Time to get a closer look at Ahmed Sulfab’s Type R engine bay…
In the engine bay is a turbocharged B18C engine with a billet valve cover, big turbine, and custom titanium intercooler piping…
Fred finally popped his hood to clean-up his engine bay so I walked over and snapped some photos of his set-up. Love how everything is polished and themed appropriately to contrast the body color…
Jorge’s gold Civic once again. I really appreciate the fact that he still has that old “GENERATIONS” decal from an Import Showoff event I helped organize years back…
Here are some more detailed photos of Jeremy Allgier’s Prelude since we all rarely get to see really well-built Preludes…
17-inch Advan Racing RGII wheels with Endless brakes…
Another look at the Endless brake caliper peeking out behind the spokes of the Advan wheel…
Jeremy is an absolute ARC-nut and has spent years collecting everything ARC-related and trying to get them to work in his engine bay…
Allgier recently added a supercharger to his H22A engine. At this angle, you can really see all the Abbey Road Company pieces he added to his engine bay. Many of the ARC parts are retrofitted to fit his set-up since the Japanese company never made too many parts for the H22A…
The exhaust manifold shield you see mounted to his header is actually made for a Mitsubishi Evolution but he’s managed to make it look like it was made for his build…
All the hardware has been swapped-out with better cosmetic bolts and nuts. The supercharger was even taken apart for clean-up and new hardware. Any of the pieces that could be polished were, making this engine bay a true piece of art…
Just an overall beautiful, well thought-out build…
Nemo’s-Garage FA5 Civic SI with FD2 CTR conversion with FEEL’S Honda Twin Cam front aero…
Also on display in their booth were these two EF Civics, one an insanely clean CR-X and the other an immaculate hatchback…
Angelo Arayata’s Civic hasn’t been out to an event in about 5 years or so, if I remember correctly, but it looks as clean as it ever has…
Jesse Temores’ Spoon Sports-styled CR-X is the definition of an incredibly clean Honda show car. Everything has been touched in one way or another in a very tasteful way and it’s basically spotless…
Shaved and smoothed-out engine bay with a body-matched valve cover and intake piping. Engine mounts have been recoated to match the Spoon Sports cooling hoses and even the subframe is color-coordinated…
He had his wheels off to display the undercarriage of the CR-X, showcasing the recoated suspension pieces and Spoon Sports Rigid Collars attached to them…
Sorry if it seems like a took a lot of photos of the same cars but that was what I was doing pretty much all morning. Just trying to get as good a shot as I could of the builds that really stood out to me…
One more shot of Phil Robles’ Civic to close-out Part 1. Still much more to come so stay tuned!!…
