Hi all, I’m still over here in Las Vegas for the 2017 SEMA Show. It’s uhhh…interesting this year, haha. I guess I’ll discuss it later with you guys on a podcast or something but there’s a odd vibe this year. I don’t know man, something is a bit off. In any case, I still have some photos from my trip to Australia that I need to get up for you guys to look at. Today is the last batch of World Time Attack Challenge coverage and then we’ll get to the photos from the JDMYARD x CHRONICLES Mega Meet. I gotta run so I’ll just let you guys enjoy the photos for today. There’s so much to do and so much going on back at home that I’m pretty excited to get back home to dive into it. SEMA is cool and all but I’m ready to go back to California. I hear its getting nice and cool now so it might be the perfect time for me to go home and sit in front of my computer all day, haha…
There are some photos from the car show section of WTAC and some on-track shots of the Japanese legends, before I close things out with the guys from JDMyard and their huge Open Class win. Tiffanie killed it with the candids in that section. Peep it and enjoy…

Black EK hatchback running Spoon Sports brakes and a set of gold Volk CEs….
This KE70 Corolla really caught my eye because it was probably one of the only ones out there of this generation. Most others were 86 Corollas done in the traditional sense but this sedan was not only mint, all that was going on in the engine bay was also noteworthy…
A closer look inside reveals a carb’d 16-valve 4A-GE set-up with the surrounding areas cleaned-up for a more simplistic appearance…
Loved this clear timing cover on the front of the 4A-GE…
Integra Type R with a carbon kevlar air duct mounted in the front bumper. The concave Volk TEs helped to give the DC2 a more aggressive stature all the way around…
Ford Falcon Ute looking pretty good on SSR Professor wheels…
Can’t help but smile looking at the Fast and Furious “Gallo 24” reference on this E30 BMW. The plate makes sense as you can see the Nissan RB26 peeking out over the front core support…
It’s not every day you see an RB-powered E30….
The RB30 is also bagged and sits on the pavement on a set of Fifteen52 wheels…
It’s fitting that right across from the E30 with the Gallo 24 vanity plate was a VeilSide Fortune FD RX-7 painted to match the orange and black FD from The Fast and Furious Tokyo Drift movie…
This Civic sedan running a really meaty tire set-up also had a beefy B-series swap under the hood with a Skunk2 Ultra Series intake manifold, coil-over-plug set-up and jet-hot ceramic coated header…
Super clean ST205 Celica GT-Four on OZ Racing wheels. The engine looks like its fresh off the assembly line…
These 16×8 Desmond Regamaster EVO wheels looked perfect on this CTR-inspired Civic hatchback…
One thing I loved about Australia was seeing all the S15 Silvia Spec-Rs. Most of them were very simple, running factory aero and sitting on aggressive 3-piece wheels…
It wouldn’t be a car show without at least one Toyota Supra running Ridox aero and Volk Racing wheels…
AE86 Corolla coupe running a 4A-GE with individual throttle bodies and Work Equip 03 wheels…
The-Lowdown.com booth featured this black FD3S on matte black SSR Executor wheels…
This TE Corolla wagon was definitely one of the best builds of the entire show area, running a smoothed-out engine bay with a turbocharged 4A-GE swap that is incredibly well thought-out with all the anodized purple fittings contrasting the gray and carbon pieces…
This Datsun wagon was hammered to the ground on Work CR-01…
Varis Arising Toyota 86 on SSR Professor SP4…
R34 Skyline GT-R with V-Spec Nur II front bumper and Volk Racing TE37V Mark II wheels…

During the middle of the afternoon, spectators were invited to the pit area for a paddock showcase where they could get an up-close look at all the time attack competitors…
Only appropriate that a Stormtrooper make an appearance in front of Andy Forest’s Stormtrooper-look Subaru..
A candid moment with Under Suzuki…
One of my favorite moments of my entire trip to Australia was being able to capture some shots of Keiichi Tsuchiya on the track in the TRD N2…
I love how he just went around the track waving the entire time too even during moments when there probably weren’t any people watching…
WTAC promoted a “dog fight” between the Hasemi Sport S15 and RE Amemiya GT300 RX-7 but it was more of a tandem cruise than anything. Cool though because them driving slower made it easier to capture photos of them…
Just imagine these cars were fucking dueling it out and driving aggressively and I’m a spectacular action photographer that was able to capture it…
When you get the opportunity to see the Mazda 767B run on the track, you must also shoot it. These photos I was especially happy about because I love this thing and being able to hear it rip on the track is a true pleasure to the ears…
Will Au-Yeung flying towards the fastest lap time ever for a North American driver. Congratulations to him. It’ll be interesting to see how long that record holds-up…
Longhurst and the Integrated Motorsports BNR34….
Car Shop DREAM with its wild FD3S RX-7 and massive rear wing…
Everything you’d expect to see visually in a Japanese time attack vehicle….
Adam Casmiri and the JDMyard K24 turbo Civic making its way around the track as it flew towards the WTAC Open Class championship…
The most surprising aspect about my trip to Australia was seeing how well the JDMyard team did at WTAC. Going into it, I had no idea how they were going to do, whether or not they were going to bounce back from the subpar finish they had in 2016, or anything to that effect. I just thought they’d compete and be competitive, but definitely didn’t expect them to be at the very top. It’s crazy to see great of a team they are and how well everyone works together…
Morcom, who was in a very close 2nd place in the Open Class, returning to the pit area after running his final hot lap during the shootout portion of the event…
Casmiri returning after running his final hot lap and learning that he had held on for the win…
Freddy from Topstage Composities embracing Adam Casmiri’s father as they heard the news of the Open Class win…
Casmiri being interviewed about his son’s best lap ever at WTAC…
Father and son embrace…
…and Adam hugging it out with his younger brother Aaron, who was instrumental in keeping the car running perfectly throughout the event…

Awards presentation and interview with the man of the hour…
Champagne showers for all…
…and that as they say, is a wrap. Thank you for viewing all these photos from throughout my adventures in Australia, Tiffanie for shooting side by side with me, the JDMyard guys for being so hospitable, and everyone else who stopped by to pass on a kind word that week. What an amazing trip it was, and I can’t wait to go back to do it all over again….
Love the URAS bumper on the Skyline. Very underrated
