Welcome back. Today we’re going to be taking a look at Part 2 of 3 of the 2013 Japanese Classic Car Show Coverage. I don’t know what else really needs to be said that hasn’t been covered already in Part 1, so why not just go right ahead and get going with the second photo set. Enjoy…

Japanese Classic Car Show 2013 Coverage…Part 1…
Ernie Uy’s always timeless and period perfect 1st generation Acura Integra was on display at JCCS like it is every year. For the ’13 event, he decided to throw on some old school SSR Bang Vec wheels…
John Russakoff from JSP Fab’s personal F20C-swapped AE86 Corolla drag car that he’s currently in the process of completing…
Check out the custom rear suspension and fab work on the rear of his 86….
Australian RHD 1964 Datsun Bluebird dubbed “Sheila”…
1981 Toyota Corolla that is a regular in the Socal car show scene. Looking great as usual on RS Watanabe wheels…
Next up is a whole hoard of 510 builds. I love these things and they are honestly one of the main reasons why I like to attend the Japanese Classic Car Show events….
Datsun 510 coupe with carbureted 13B Rotary-swap on Compomotive wheels…
This Rotary-swapped 510 on SSR GP-O wheels has been around at shows for as long as I can recall doing shows myself. This thing has always remained pretty much exactly how you see it and it is a testament to the owner’s ability to maintain it over the last decade and more…
Nice clean black 510 with integrated fender flares on old Enkei mesh…
SSR Longchamp XR4s and an SR20DET swap on this 510…
I dig the integration of the air filter in the front grille on this 510. It also has the exposed oil cooler and lines like most faux Boso-style builds use…
The only downside of this build is the Rota Shakotans or whatever the replica Hayashi Street wheels are called but other than that, this is one of my favorite builds from JCCS. I love the overall execution of everything and the use of orange and grey tones. The body has been restored and everything is straight while the bay is nicely tucked away. I wish I would have remembered to capture some shots of the interior but it too is done very well. Sort of has a modern-twist on an old school classic type of feel to it. Great build…
Love the orange accent on the top of the front add-on spoiler and the velocity stacks that have been placed into the Bluebird GL (Grand Luxe) front grille….
Big Brembo brakes behind the Blitz Technospeed Z1 wheels on this 510, Under the hood is a shaved engine bay with SR20DET swap….
Parked near all these great 510 builds was this rare Nissan R30 Skyline RS-Turbo coupe. These are definitely not a common sight out here in Cali so it is great to be able to see one in great detail…
The R30 interior has been meticulously maintained with some aftermarket gauges installed with a modern head unti replacing the dated stock radio…
Very rare old school Volk Racing Type S wheels that represent the popular “Fin” design that almost every Japanese wheel maker produced in the 80s…
Skyline 2000GT sedan with Weber triple carbs…
Deep-dish SSR MKII wheels on the flared rear quarters of the Skyline…
Flared two-toned Kenmeri Skyline on RS Watanabe wheels….
The legendary Renown 1991 Mazda 787B Le Mans car that is the only Japanese-manufactured race vehicle to ever win the 24 Hours of Le Mans race…
The Mazda 757 was a prototype race vehicle that was built by Mazdaspeed to compete in the 24 Hours of Le Mans series in the mid-80s…
1993 Mazda Eunos Cosmo coupe was never available in the U.S. during its production years but is an important vehicle in Mazda’s family lineage because it was the first to introduce the 20B-REW tri-rotor engine in a production vehicle. I liked the quirky design of the car and the long wheel base. I think this car was a little ahead of its time but if you have ever seen these things modded, you’d have a greater appreciation of the platform. Very cool cars that have that very distinct early 90’s feel to it…
First generation Toyota Celica repainted in a vibrant orange tone on polished Hayashi wheels…
Amazing to see another legend in person, the rare Toyota 2000GT two-door coupe. This vehicle helped to put Japan on the map as a formidable automaker in the late 70s and shocked the world because of its styling and how it didn’t conform to the usual and practical economy cars of its era…
Another of my favorites by far was this custom 2JZ-GTE swapped Toyota Hilux pick-up truck. I remember seeing photos of it at last year’s JCCS and was anxious to finally see it in person for myself…
A ton of custom fabrication was done to massage this twin-turbo motor into the bay of this Hilux. Even the valve cover is a custom one-off billet piece created by ADF Fabrications in Whittier, CA. Make note of the assortment of parts from both GReddy and HKS, along with all the Wiggins clamps used to hold everything together…
Bronze 17-inch Volk TE37s on Advan Neova rubber with 4-POT Project Mu brakes behind them in their signature teal….
The interior of the Hilux features a custom-mounted digital dash display unit and in the center you can see the HKS F-CON V-Pro standalone engine managment system…
A closer look at the custom billet 2JZ valve cover with the words “Ridicu-Hilux” engraved in the center. What you probably won’t notice right away unless you look closely is that this Toyota motor is using Honda coil packs from a K-series motor…
Snapped this shot because I really liked how the purple HKS cam gears contrasted against the raw finish of the adjoining engine components…
“Works”-style S30Z flared with Work Meister CR01s seated beneath. Nice use of the black and blue with gold accented vinyl and the gloss black lips against the rest of the matte black pieces on the chassis…
No stretched-tire here….Just meaty Advan A048 rubber…
The polished faces of the CR01 also work very well with the overall theme of the build….
Closing out Part 2 of the JCCS 2013 coverage with this faint-blue Toyota Celica GT coupe on a very rare set of red-faced Techno Phantom wheels….
Hope you guys enjoyed the coverage so far. Just one more part to go so make sure to come back tomorrow for Part 3 of 3!…

Very nice coverage, I’m glad you enjoy the DR30 and noticed those fins.
Very nice report! Just one small remark: the 2000GT put Toyota on the map in the late 60’s instead of 70’s….
